1 Samuel 16

1 Und Jahwe sprach zu Samuel: Wie lange willst du um Saul trauern, da ich ihn doch zu gering geachtet habe, König über Israel zu sein? Fülle dein Horn mit Öl und mache dich auf den Weg: ich sende dich zu dem Bethlehemiten Isai; denn unter seinen Söhnen habe ich mir einen zum König ersehen.

and to say LORD to(wards) Samuel till how you(m. s.) to mourn to(wards) Saul and I to reject him from to reign upon Israel to fill horn your oil and to go: went to send: depart you to(wards) Jesse Bethlehemite [the] Bethlehemite for to see: select in/on/with son: child his to/for me king

2 Samuel erwiderte: Wie kann ich hingehen? Wenn Saul davon hört, wird er mich umbringen! Jahwe aber gebot: Nimm eine junge Kuh mit und sage: Jahwe zu opfern, komme ich!

and to say Samuel how? to go: went and to hear: hear Saul and to kill me and to say LORD heifer cattle to take: take in/on/with hand: themselves your and to say to/for to sacrifice to/for LORD to come (in): come

3 und lade den Isai zum Opfermahl. Ich selbst werde dir dann mitteilen, was du thun sollst, und zwar sollst du mir den salben, den ich dir nennen werde.

4 Samuel that, was Jahwe geboten hatte. Und als er nach Bethlehem kam, gingen ihm die Vornehmsten der Stadt unterwürfig entgegen und fragten: Bedeutet dein Kommen Gutes?

5 Er antwortete: Jawohl! Jahwe zu opfern, komme ich; heiligt euch und kommt mit mir zum Opfermahl! Sodann heiligte er Isai und seine Söhne und lud sie zum Opfermahl.

and to say peace to/for to sacrifice to/for LORD to come (in): come to consecrate: consecate and to come (in): come with me in/on/with sacrifice and to consecrate: consecate [obj] Jesse and [obj] son: child his and to call: call to to/for them to/for sacrifice

6 Als sie nun kamen, und er den Eliab erblickte, dachte er: Sicherlich steht hier vor Jahwe sein Gesalbter!

7 Jahwe aber sprach zu Samuel: Achte nicht auf sein Aussehen und seinen hohne Wuchs, denn ich habe ihn nicht gewürdigt. Denn Gott sieht nicht das an, worauf der Mensch sieht: der Mensch sieht auf den Augenschein, Jahwe aber sieht auf das Herz!

and to say LORD to(wards) Samuel not to look to(wards) appearance his and to(wards) high height his for to reject him for not which to see: see [the] man for [the] man to see: see to/for eye: appearance and LORD to see: see to/for heart

8 Da rief Isai den Abinadab und führte ihn Samuel vor. Aber er erklärte: Auch diesen hat Jahwe nicht erkoren!

and to call: call to Jesse to(wards) Abinadab and to pass him to/for face: before Samuel and to say also in/on/with this not to choose LORD

9 Da führte Isai den Samma vor. Aber er erklärte: Auch diesen hat Jahwe nicht erkoren!

and to pass Jesse Shammah and to say also in/on/with this not to choose LORD

10 Da führte Isai Samuel seine sieben Söhne vor; aber Samuel erklärte Isai: Diese hat Jahwe nicht erkoren!

and to pass Jesse seven son: child his to/for face: before Samuel and to say Samuel to(wards) Jesse not to choose LORD in/on/with these

11 Da fragte Samuel Isai: Sind das die jungen Leute alle? Er entgegnete: Es fehlt noch der Jüngste, der hütet die Schafe. Samuel gebot Isai: Sende hin und laß ihn holen; denn wir setzen uns nicht, bevor er herkommt!

and to say Samuel to(wards) Jesse to finish [the] youth and to say still to remain [the] small and behold to pasture in/on/with flock and to say Samuel to(wards) Jesse to send: depart [emph?] and to take: take him for not to turn: turn till to come (in): come he here

12 Da sandte er hin und ließ ihn kommen; und er war rötlich, mit schönen Augen und wohlgebildeter gestalt. da befahl Jahwe: Auf! salbe ihn, denn dieser ist es!

and to send: depart and to come (in): bring him and he/she/it red with beautiful eye and pleasant sight and to say LORD to arise: rise to anoint him for this he/she/it

13 Da nahm Samuel das Ölhorn und salbte ihn in Gegenwart seiner Brüder. Da kam der Geist Jahwes über David von dem Tage an und weiterhin. Samuel aber brach auf und begab sich nach Rama.

and to take: take Samuel [obj] horn [the] oil and to anoint [obj] him in/on/with entrails: among brother: male-sibling his and to rush spirit LORD to(wards) David from [the] day [the] he/she/it and above [to] and to arise: rise Samuel and to go: went [the] Ramah [to]

14 Nachden nun der Geist Jahwes von Saul sich zurückgezogen hatte, quälte ihn ein von Jahwe ausgesandter böser Geist.

and spirit LORD to turn aside: depart from from with Saul and to terrify him spirit bad: harmful from with LORD

15 Da machte Sauls Umgebung diesen Vorschlag: Da dich einmal ein böser Gottesgeist quält,

and to say servant/slave Saul to(wards) him behold please spirit God bad: harmful to terrify you

16 so darf unser Herr nur gebieten; deine Sklaven stehen zu deiner Verfügung und werden einen Mann suchen, der ein kundiger Zitherspieler ist: wenn dann der böse Gottesgeist über dich kommt, und er spielt, so wird es dir besser werden.

to say please lord our servant/slave your to/for face: before your to seek man to know to play in/on/with lyre and to be in/on/with to be upon you spirit God bad: harmful and to play in/on/with hand his and pleasant to/for you

17 Saul erwiderte seiner Umgebung: Seht euch für mich nach einem Manne um, der ein geschickter Saitenspieler ist, und bringt ihn mir her!

and to say Saul to(wards) servant/slave his to see: behold! please to/for me man be good to/for to play and to come (in): bring to(wards) me

18 da nahm einer von den Dienern das Wort und sprach: Ich habe da einen Sohn des Bethlehemiten Isai gesehen, der ist des Saitenspiels kundig, ein tüchtiger Mann und kriegsgeübt, dazu des Wortes mächtig und ein Mann von schöner Gestalt, und Jahwe ist mit ihm!

and to answer one from [the] youth and to say behold to see: see son: child to/for Jesse Bethlehemite [the] Bethlehemite to know to play and mighty man strength and man battle and to understand word: speaking and man appearance and LORD with him

19 Da schickte Saul Boten an Isai und ließ ihm sagen: Schicke mir deinen Sohn David, der bei den Schafen ist!

and to send: depart Saul messenger to(wards) Jesse and to say to send: depart [emph?] to(wards) me [obj] David son: child your which in/on/with flock

20 Da nahm Isai zehn Brotlaibe, einen Schlauch Wein und ein Ziegenböckchen und schickte es durch seinen Sohn David an Saul.

and to take: take Jesse donkey food: bread and wineskin wine and kid goat one and to send: depart in/on/with hand: by David son: child his to(wards) Saul

21 Als nun David zu Saul kam und bei ihm Dienste tat, gewann er ihn sehr lieb, sodaß er sein Eaffenträger wurde.

and to come (in): come David to(wards) Saul and to stand: appoint to/for face: before his and to love: lover him much and to be to/for him to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil

22 Da schickte Saul zu Isai und ließ ihm sagen: Laß doch David in meinen Dienst treten, denn er gefällt mir wohl!

and to send: depart Saul to(wards) Jesse to/for to say to stand: stand please David to/for face: before my for to find favor in/on/with eye: seeing my

23 So oft hernach der Gottesgeist über Saul kam, griff David zur Zither und spielte: da wurde es Saul leichter und besser, und der böse Geist zog sich von ihm zurück.
