1 Also war der König Salomo König über ganz Israel.
So king Solomon was king over all Israel.
2 Und dies waren die obersten Beamten, die er hatte: Asarja, der Sohn Zadoks, war Priester;
And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,
3 Elihoreph und Ahija, die Söhne Sisas, waren Staats-Schreiber. Josaphat, der Sohn Ahiluds, war der kanzler.
Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.
4 Und Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, befehligte das Heer. Zadok und Abjathar waren Priester.
And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:
5 Und Asarja, der Sohn Nathans, war über die Vögte gesetzt. Und Sabud, der Sohn Nathans, war Priester und Freund des Königs.
And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:
6 Ahisar aber war über den Palast gesetzt und Adoniram, der Sohn Abdas, über die Fron.
And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.
7 Und Salomo hatte zwölf Vögte, die über ganz Israel verteilt waren. Die versorgten reihum den König und seinen Hof: je einen Monat im Jahre lag einem jeden die Versorgung ob.
And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.
8 Und dies sind ihre Namen, der Sohn Hurs auf dem Gebirge Ephraim;
And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:
9 der Sohn Dekers zu Makaz und zu Saalbim und Beth-Semes und Elon bis Beth-Hanan;
The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:
10 der Sohn Heseds zu Arubboth; ihm war Socho und das ganze Gebiet von Hepher zugewiesen.
The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:
11 Der Sohn Abinadabs: das ganze Naphat-Dor; er hatte Taphath, Salomos Tochter, zum Weibe.
The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
12 Baana, der Sohn Ahiluds: Thaanach und Megiddo und ganz Beth-Sean bis Abel-Mehola, bis jenseits von Jokmeam;
Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:
13 der Sohn Gebers zu Ramoth in Gilead; ihm waren die Dörfer Jairs, des Sohnes Manasses, in Gilead, ihm der Landstrich Argob in Basan zugewiesen, sechzig große Städte mit Mauern und ehernen Riegeln;
The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:
14 Ahinadab, der Sohn Iddos, zu Mahanaim;
Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:
15 Ahimaaz in Naphthali; auch er hatte eine Tochter Salomos, die Basmath, zum Weibe genommen.
Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:
16 Baana, der Sohn Husais, in Asser und Bealoth;
Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:
17 Josaphat, der Sohn Paruahs, in Issachar;
Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:
18 Simei, der Sohn Elas, in Benjamin;
Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:
19 Geber, der Sohn Uris, im Lande Gilead, dem Lande Sihons, des Königs der Amoriter, und Ogs, des Königs von Basan; nur ein Vogt war in dem Lande.
Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20 Die Bewohner von Juda und Israel waren zahlreich, wie der Sand am Meere, schmausten und waren voll Fröhlichkeit.
Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.
21 Und Salomo war Herrscher über alle Königreiche vom Euphratstrom an bis zu dem Lande der Philister und bis an die Grenze Ägyptens; sie brachten Geschenke dar und waren Salomo all' sein Leben lang unterthan.
And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22 Es belief sich aber der Speisebedarf Salomos täglich auf dreißig Kor Feinmehl und sechzig Kor gewöhnliches Mehl,
And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,
23 zehn gemästete Rinder, zwanzig von der Weide geholte Rinder und hundert Schafe, ungerechnet die Hirsche, Gazellen und Damhirsche und das gemästete Geflügel.
Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.
24 Denn er hatte Gewalt über alles Land jenseits des Stromes, von Tiphsah bis nach Gaza, über alle Könige jenseits des Stromes, und hatte Frieden auf allen Seiten ringsum,
For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.
25 daß Juda und Israel sicher wohnten, ein jeglicher unter seinem Weinstock und unter seinem Feigenbaum, von Dan bis Beerseba, so lange Salomo lebte.
And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.
26 Und Salomo hatte vierzigtausend Gespanne Rosse für seine Wagen und zwölftausend Reitpferde.
And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.
27 Und jene Vögte versorgten den König Salomo und alle, die zum Tische des Königs Salomo Zutritt hatten, jeder einen Monat lang; sie ließen es an nichts fehlen.
And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.
28 Auch die Gerste und das Stroh für die Rosse und die Rennpferde brachten sie jedesmal an den Ort, wo er sich gerade aufhielt, ein jeder nach seiner Ordnung.
Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.
29 Und Gott verlieh Salomo sehr viel Weisheit und Einsicht und Reichtum des Geistes gleich dem Sande, der am Ufer des Meeres liegt,
And Elohim gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.
30 daß die Weisheit Salomos größer war, als die Weisheit aller, die gegen Morgen wohnen, und als alle Weisheit Ägyptens.
And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.
31 und er war weiser als alle Menschen, auch weiser als Ethan, der Esrahiter, und Heman und Chalkol und Darda, die Söhne Mahols, und war berühmt unter allen Völkern ringsum.
For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.
32 Und er redete dreitausend Sprüche, und seiner Lieder waren tausendundfünf.
And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.
33 Und er redete über die Bäume, von der Ceder auf dem Libanon an bis zum Ysop, der aus der Mauer hervorwächst. Auch redete er über die vierfüßigen Tiere und die Vögel, über das Gewürm und die Fische.
And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.
34 Und es kamen Leute aus allen Völkern, um die Weisheit Salomos zu hören, von allen Königen der Erde her, die von seiner Weisheit gehört hatten.
And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
