1 Chronik 23
1 Als David alt und lebenssatt war, machte er seinen Sohn Salomo zum König über Israel.
Therfor Dauid was eld and ful of daies, and ordeynede Salomon, his sone, kyng on Israel.
2 Er versammelte alle Fürsten Israels, die Priester und die Leviten.
And he gaderide togidere alle the princes of Israel, and the preestis, and dekenes;
3 Und die Leviten wurden gezählt, von dreißig Jahren an und darüber, und es belief sich ihre Zahl, Kopf für Kopf gerechnet, auf 38000 Männer.
and the dekenes weren noumbrid fro twenti yeer and aboue, and eiyte and thretti thousynde of men weren foundun.
4 “Von diesen sollen 24000 den Geschäften am Tempel Jahwes vorstehen; 6000 sollen Amtleute und Richter sein,
And foure and twenty thousynde men weren chosun of hem, and weren departid in to the seruyce of the hows of the Lord; sotheli of souereyns, and iugis, sixe thousynde;
5 4000 Thorhüter, und 4000 sollen Jahwe lobpreisen mit den Instrumenten, die ich zum Lobpreisen angefertigt habe.”
forsothe foure thousynde `porteris weren, and so many syngeris, syngynge to the Lord in orguns, whiche Dauid hadde maad for to synge.
6 Und David teilte sie in Abteilungen nach den Söhnen Levis, Gerson, Kahath und Merari.
And Dauid departide hem bi the whilis of the sones of Leuy, that is, of Gerson, and of Caath, and Merary.
7 Zu den Gersonitern gehörten: Laedan und Simei.
And the sones of Gerson weren Leedan and Semeye.
8 Die Söhne Laedans waren: Jehiel, das Oberhaupt, Setham und Joel, zusammen drei.
The sones of Leedan weren thre, the prince Jehiel, and Ethan, and Johel.
9 Die Söhne Simeis waren: Selomith, Hasiel und Haran, zusammen drei. Dies waren die Familienhäupter des Geschlechts Laedans.
The sones of Semei weren thre, Salamyth, and Oziel, and Aram; these weren the princes of the meynees of Leedan.
10 Die Söhne Simeis aber waren: Jahath, Sina, Jeus und Beria; dies waren die Söhne Simeis, zusammen vier.
Forsothe the sones of Semeye weren Leeth, and Ziza, and Yaus, and Baria, these foure weren the sones of Semei.
11 Und Jahath war das Oberhaupt, Sina der zweite; Jeus und Beria aber hatten nur wenig Kinder, so daß sie nur eine Familie, eine Amtsklasse bildeten.
Sotheli Leeth was the formere, and Ziza the secounde; forsothe Yaus and Baria hadden not ful many sones, and therfor thei weren rikenyd in o meynee and oon hows.
12 Die Söhne Kahaths waren: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel, zusammen vier.
The sones of Caath weren foure, Amram, and Ysaac, Ebron, and Oziel.
13 Die Söhne Amrams waren: Aaron und Mose. Aaron aber wurde ausgesondert, damit er als hochheilig geweiht würde, er und seine Söhne, für alle Zeiten, damit sie für alle Zeiten vor Jahwe räucherten, ihm dienten und in seinem Namen segneten.
The sones of Amram weren Aaron and Moyses; and Aaron was departid, that he schulde mynystre in the hooli thing of hooli thingis, he and hise sones with outen ende, and to brenne encense to the Lord bi his custom, and to blesse his name with outen ende.
14 Und was Mose, den Mann Gottes, betrifft, so wurden seine Söhne zum Stamme Levi überhaupt gerechnet.
Also the sones of Moyses, man of God, weren noumbrid in the lynage of Leuy.
15 Die Söhne Moses waren: Gersom und Elieser;
The sones of Moises weren Gerson and Elieser.
16 die Söhne Gersoms: Sebuel, das Oberhaupt.
The sones of Gerson; `Subuhel the firste.
17 Die Söhne Eliesers aber waren: Rehabja, das Oberhaupt. Andere Söhne hatte Elieser nicht; dagegen waren die Söhne Rehabjas überaus zahlreich.
Sotheli the sones of Eliezer weren Roboya the firste, and othere sones weren not to Eliezer; forsothe the sones of Roboia weren multipliede ful miche.
18 Die Söhne Jizhars waren: Selomith, das Oberhaupt;
The sones of Isaar; `Salumuth the firste.
19 die Söhne Hebrons: Jerija das Oberhaupt, Amarja der zweite, Jahasiel der dritte, Jekameam der vierte.
The sones of Ebron; `Jerian the firste, Amarias the secounde, Jaziel the thridde, Jethamaan the fourthe.
20 Die Söhne Ussiels waren: Micha das Oberhaupt und Jissia der zweite.
The sones of Oziel; `Mycha the firste, Jesia the secounde.
21 Die Söhne Meraris waren: Mahli und Musi; die Söhne Mahlis: Eleasar und Kis.
The sones of Merari weren Mooli and Musi. The sones of Mooli weren Eleazar, and Cys.
22 Eleasar aber starb, ohne Söhne zu hinterlassen; er hatte nur Töchter. Diese heirateten die Söhne Kis', ihre Vettern.
Sotheli Eleazar was deed, and hadde not sones, but douytris; and the sones of Cys, the britheren of hem, weddiden hem.
23 Die Söhne Musis waren: Mahli, Eder und Jeremoth, zusammen drei.
The sones of Musi weren thre, Mooli, and Heder, and Jerymuth.
24 Dies sind die Leviten nach ihren Familien, die Familienhäupter, so viele ihrer gemustert wurden, nach der Zahl der Namen Kopf für Kopf, die beim Dienst am Tempel Jahwes beschäftigt waren, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber.
These weren the sones of Leuy in her kynredis and meynees, prynces bi whilis, and noumbre of alle heedis, that diden the trauel of the seruyce of the hows of the Lord, fro twenti yeer and aboue.
25 Denn David sprach: Jahwe, der Gott Israels, hat seinem Volke Ruhe gegeben und wohnt nun für immer zu Jerusalem.
For Dauid seide, The Lord God of Israel hath youe reste to his puple, and a dwellyng in Jerusalem til in to with outen ende;
26 So brauchen nun auch die Leviten die Wohnung und alle zu ihrem Dienst erforderlichen Geräte nicht mehr zu tragen.
and it schal not be the office of dekenes for to bere more the tabernacle, and alle vessels therof for to mynystre.
27 (Denn nach den letzten Geschichten Davids wurde die Anzahl der Leviten von den Zwanzigjährigen an berechnet.)
Also bi the laste comaundementis of Dauid the noumbre of the sones of Leuy schulen be rikened fro twenti yeer and aboue;
28 Vielmehr besteht ihre Amtspflicht in der Unterstützung der Söhne Aarons, im Dienst am Tempel Jahwes als Aufseher über die Vorhöfe und die Zellen und die Reinigung alles Heiligen, sowie in den Dienstverrichtungen am Tempel Gottes,
and thei schulen be vndir the hond of the sones of Aaron in to the worschipe of the hows of the Lord, in porchis, and in chaumbris, and in the place of clensyng, and in the seyntuarie, and in alle werkis of the seruyce of the temple of the Lord.
29 ferner in der Besorgung der reihenweise aufgelegten Brote, des Feinmehls zu den Speisopfern, der ungesäuerten Fladen, der Pfanne und des Eingerührten, sowie in jeder Art des Messens,
Forsothe preestis schulen be ouer the looues of proposicioun, and to the sacrifice of flour, and to the pastis sodun in watir, and to the therf looues, and friyng panne, and to hoot flour, and to seenge, and ouer al weiyte and mesure.
30 ferner darin, daß sie jeden Morgen hintreten, Jahwe zu danken und ihn zu preisen, und ebenso am Abend
Forsothe the dekenes schulen be, that thei stonde eerli, for to knowleche and synge to the Lord, and lijk maner at euentide,
31 und bei jeder Darbringung von Brandopfern für Jahwe, an den Sabbaten, den Neumonden und den Festen, so viele ihrer nach der darüber geltenden Vorschrift beständig vor Jahwe darzubringen sind.
as wel in the offryng of brent sacrifices of the Lord, as in sabatis, and kalendis, and othere solempnytees, bi the noumbre and cerymonyes of eche thing contynueli bifor the Lord;
32 Und so sollen sie der Geschäfte am Offenbarungszelt und der Geschäfte am Heiligtum und der Geschäfte in der Unterstützung der Söhne Aarons, ihrer Stammesgenossen, warten im Dienst an der Wohnung Jahwes.
and that thei kepe the obseruaunces of the tabernacle of the boond of pees of the Lord, and the custum of the seyntuarie, and the obseruaunce of the sones of Aaron, her britheren, that thei mynystre in the hows of the Lord.
