1 Chronik 13
1 Und David beriet sich mit den Anführern der Tausendschaften und der Hundertschaften, mit allen Fürsten.
And Dauid counselled with the captaines of thousandes and of hundreths, and with all the gouernours.
2 Und David sprach zur ganzen Volksgemeinde Israels: Wenn es euch recht ist und von Jahwe, unserem Gotte, beschlossen ist, so wollen wir zu unseren Volksgenossen senden, die irgendwo in den Gauen Israels zurückgeblieben sind, sowie zu den Priestern und Leviten in den Ortschaften, die ihnen samt ihren Weidetriften angewiesen sind, daß sie sich zu uns versammeln,
And Dauid said to all the Congregation of Israel, If it seeme good to you, and that it proceedeth of the Lord our God, we will sende to and from vnto our brethren, that are left in all the lande of Israel (for with them are the Priests and the Leuites in the cities and their suburbes) that they may assemble them selues vnto vs.
3 damit wir die Lade unseres Gottes wieder zu uns herholen; denn unter der Regierung Sauls haben wir nicht nach ihr gefragt.
And we will bring againe the Arke of our God to vs: for we sought not vnto it in the dayes of Saul.
4 Da antwortete die ganze Volksgemeinde, man solle demgemäß thun, denn der Vorschlag war dem ganzen Volke recht.
And all the Congregation answered, Let vs doe so: for the thing seemed good in the eyes of all the people.
5 Da berief David das ganze Israel zusammen vom Sihor in Ägypten an bis dahin, wo es nach Hamath hineingeht, damit sie die Lade Gottes aus Kirjath-Jearim herbeiholten.
So Dauid gathered all Israel together from Shihor in Egypt, euen vnto the entring of Hamath, to bring the Arke of God from Kiriath-iearim.
6 Und David zog mit dem ganzen Israel nach Baala, das ist nach Kirjath-Jearim, welches zu Juda gehört, um von dort aus die Gotteslade hinaufzubringen, die nach dem Namen Jahwes benannt ist, der über den Keruben thront.
And Dauid went vp and all Israel to Baalath, in Kiriath-iearim, that was in Iudah, to bring vp from thence the Arke of God the Lord that dwelleth betweene the Cherubims, where his Name is called on.
7 Sie luden aber die Gotteslade vom Hause Abinadabs hinweg auf einen neuen Wagen, und Ussa und Ahio leiteten den Wagen.
And they caryed the Arke of God in a newe cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Vzza and Ahio guided the cart.
8 Und David und das ganze Israel tanzten vor Gott einher mit aller Macht und unter Gesängen, mit Zithern, Harfen, Pauken, Cymbeln und Trompeten.
And Dauid and all Israel played before God with all their might, both with songes and with harpes, and with violes, and with timbrels and with cymbales and with trumpets.
9 Als sie nun bis zur Tenne von Kidon gekommen waren, streckte Ussa die Hand aus, um die Lade festzuhalten, weil die Rinder durchgingen.
And when they came vnto the thresshing floore of Chidon, Vzza put forth his hand to holde the Arke, for the oxen did shake it.
10 Da loderte Jahwes Zorn auf gegen Ussa und er schlug ihn dort, weil er mit der Hand nach der Lade gegriffen hatte, so daß er ebenda, angesichts Gottes, starb.
But the wrath of the Lord was kindled against Vzza, and he smote him, because he layed his hande vpon the Arke: so he dyed there before God.
11 Aber David geriet in Unwillen, weil Jahwe an Ussa einen Riß gethan hatte, und man nannte jene Örtlichkeit Perez Ussa bis auf den heutigen Tag.
And Dauid was angrie, because the Lord had made a breach in Vzza, and he called the name of that place Perez-vzza vnto this day.
12 Und David geriet jenes Tags in Furcht vor Gott, so daß er rief: Wie kann ich da die Lade Gottes zu mir bringen?
And Dauid feared God that day, saying, Howe shall I bring in to me the Arke of God?
13 So ließ David die Lade nicht zu sich in die Stadt Davids verbringen, sondern ließ sie beiseite bringen in das Haus Obed-Edoms aus Gath.
Therefore Dauid brought not the Arke to him into the citie of Dauid, but caused it to turne into the house of Obed Edom the Gittite.
14 Und die Lade Gottes verblieb drei Monate bei dem Hause Obed-Edoms in seinem Hause; aber Jahwe segnete das Haus Obed-Edoms und alles, was ihm gehörte.
So the Arke of God remained in the house of Obed Edom, euen in his house three moneths: and the Lord blessed the house of Obed Edom, and all that he had.
