Sacharja 11
1 Schließ deine Pforten auf, o Libanon, daß Feuer deine Zedern fresse!
Open, O Lebanon, thy doors, —that a fire, may devour, thy cedar,
2 Zypresse heule! Die Zeder ist gefallen; die starken Fichten sind vernichtet. Ihr Basanseichen weint! Gefallen ist der Wald, der undurchdringliche.
Howl, fir-tree, for fallen is the cedar, because, the majestic ones, are spoiled: howl, ye oaks of Bashan, for the inaccessible forest, hath come down.
3 Horch! Hirten jammern; ihre Herde ist vernichtet. Horch! Junge Löwen brüllen; des Jordans Pracht dahin!
The noise of the howling of the shepherds, for spoiled is their majesty, —The noise of the roaring of the young lions, for spoiled are the proud banks of the Jordan.
4 So sprach der Herr, mein Gott: "Schlachtschafe weide,
Thus, saith Yahweh my God, —Tend thou the flock doomed to slaughter:
5 deren Käufer sie bedenkenlos abschlachten, von denen ihr Verkäufer spricht: 'Gepriesen sei der Herr! Ich bin jetzt überreich', und deren Züchter sie nicht schonen.
Whose, buyers, slay them, and are not held guilty, and whose, sellers, say—Blessed be Yahweh, that I am become rich, And so, their own shepherds, have no pity upon them.
6 Ich habe selber keine Nachsicht mehr mit den Bewohnern dieses Landes", ein Spruch des Herrn, "ich gebe jeden preis, den einen in des anderen Gewalt, dazu in seines Königs Hand. So richten sie dies Land zugrunde: Aus ihrer Hand befrei ich keinen."
Surely I will have pity no longer upon the inhabitants of the earth, Declareth Yahweh, —Therefore lo! I am delivering up mankind, every man into the hand of his neighbour, and into the hand of his king, and they will crush the earth, nor will I deliver out of their hand.
7 So weidete ich diese Schlachtschafe für Schafhändler. Zwei Stäbe nahm ich mir dazu. Den einen hieß ich "Huld", den anderen "Verbindung" und weidete die Schafe.
So I tended the flock doomed to slaughter, for the sheep-merchants, —and took unto me two staves, the one, I called Grace, and, the other, I called Union, thus I tended the sheep,
8 Doch da bemerkte ich, daß sie noch mager blieben. Da ward ich ihrer überdrüssig; auch sie bekamen Widerwillen gegen mich.
And I sent off three shepherds, in one month, —for impatient was my soul with them, moreover also, their soul, felt a loathing against me.
9 Da sagte ich: "Ich mag euch nicht mehr weiden. Was sterben will, das sterbe, und was zugrunde gehen will, das geh zugrunde. Was dann noch übrig, möge gegenseitig sich auffressen.
Then said I—I will not tend you, —the dying, may die, and, the disappearing, may disappear, and, the remainder, may devour one another.
10 Dann nahm ich meinen Stab "die Huld" und brach ihn ganz und gar in Stücke, um aufzuheben den Vertrag, den ich mit all den Leuten abgeschlossen.
So I took my staff Grace, and cut it in two, —that I might set aside my covenant which I had solemnised with all the peoples.
11 Er ward an jenem Tage aufgehoben. Da konnten diese Schafhändler erkennen, wenn sie nur auf mich achteten, daß es ein Herrenwort gewesen."
When it was broken, on that day, then did the sheep- merchants who were watching me, know, that, the word of Yahweh, it was.
12 Ich sprach zu ihnen: "Beliebt es euch, so gebt mir meinen Lohn! Wenn nicht, dann lasset es!" Sie wogen dreißig Silberlinge mir zum Lohne dar.
Then said I unto them, If it be good in your eyes, give me my wage, and, if not, forbear. So they weighed out my wage, thirty pieces of silver.
13 Da sprach der Herr zu mir: "Zu Füßen wirf ihn hin dem Schatzmeister, den wundervollen Preis, den ich bei ihnen gelte!" Ich nahm die dreißig Silberlinge und warf sie hin dem Schatzmeister im Haus des Herrn.
Then said Yahweh unto me, Cast it into the treasury, the magnificent price at which I had been valued by them! So I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them, in the house of Yahweh, into the treasury.
14 Dann brach ich meinen zweiten Stab entzwei, den "der Verbindung", um aufzuheben die Verbrüderung, die zwischen Juda und Jerusalem bestand.
Then cut I in two my second staff, even Union, —that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
15 Da sprach nochmals der Herr zu mir: "Schaff die Ausrüstung eines ungeschickten Hirten an!
Then said Yahweh unto me, —Yet further take thee the implements of a worthless shepherd.
16 Ich stelle ja in diesem Lande einen Hirten an, der sich um das Zugrundegehende nicht kümmert und das Verlaufene nicht sucht und das Verwundete nicht heilt, das Heile auch nicht pflegt, vielmehr der Fetten Fleisch verzehrt und selbst noch an den Klauen nagt.
For lo! I am raising up a shepherd in the land, the disappearing, will he not visit, the straying, will he not seek, and, the fractured, will he not bind up, —the weak, will he not nourish, but, the flesh of the fat, will he eat, and, their hoofs, will he break in pieces.
17 Weh diesem ungeschickten Hirten, der seine Herde läßt im Stich! Sein Arm samt seinem guten Auge welk ihm hin! Sein Arm verdorre! Sein gutes Auge soll erblinden!"
Alas! for my worthless shepherd, who forsaketh the flock, A sword upon his arm, and upon his right eye!—his arm, shall be, utterly withered, and, his right eye, shall be, wholly darkened.
