Psalm 93

1 Der Herr ist König, angetan mit Hoheit. Mit Macht bekleidet sei der Herr, gegürtet! Dann steht die Welt da ohne Wanken.

Yahweh, you are the King! You are majestic, and the power that you have is [like] [MET] a robe that a king wears. You put the world firmly in place, and it will never be moved/shaken.

2 Dein Thron steht wieder da wie einst. Du bist dann wie vor alters.

You ruled as king a very long time ago; you have always existed.

3 Erheben Ströme, Herr, erheben Ströme ihr Gebraus, erheben Ströme ihr Getöse,

Yahweh, [when you created the world, you separated] the water from [the chaotic mass and formed oceans], and the waves of the waters [of those oceans] still roar,

4 viel stärker noch als vieler Wasser Tosen ist die Meeresbrandung; doch mächtiger der Herr in Himmelshöhen!

[but] you are greater than the roar of those oceans, more powerful than the ocean waves! You are Yahweh, the one who is greater than any other god!

5 So bleibt, was Du verordnest, gültig. Wir wollen in Dein heilig Haus noch lange wallen, Herr.

Yahweh, your laws never change, and your temple has always been holy/sacred. And that will be true forever.
