Josua 18
1 Die ganze israelitische Gemeinde versammelte sich nun zu Silo. Und dort stellten sie das Festgezelt auf. Das Land aber lag unterworfen vor ihnen.
Then were gathered together all the assembly of the sons of Israel at Shiloh, and they set up there, the tent of meeting, —the land, having been subdued before them.
2 Unter den Israeliten waren aber noch sieben Stämme übrig, die noch keinen Erbbesitz erhalten hatten.
But there remained among the sons of Israel, to whom had not been apportioned their inheritance, —seven tribes.
3 Da sprach Josue zu den Israeliten: "Wie lange zögert ihr noch, hinzugehen und das Land zu besetzen, das euch der Herr, eurer Väter Gott, gegeben?
So Joshua said unto the sons of Israel, —How long, will ye be too slothful, to enter in and take possession of the land, which Yahweh God of your fathers, hath given unto you?
4 Bringet drei Männer aus jedem Stamm, so sende ich sie aus, und sie sollen sich aufmachen, das Land durchziehen und es aufschreiben nach der Größe ihres Besitzes! Dann sollen sie zu mir kommen!
Set forth for you three men for each tribe, —that I may send them, that they may arise—and go up and down in the land—and map it out as required for their inheritance, and come in unto me.
5 Hierauf sollen sie es in sieben Teile teilen! Juda behält sein Gebiet im Süden, das Josephshaus im Norden.
So shall they apportion it for themselves into seven parts, —Let, Judah, stay upon his boundary, on the south, and, the house of Joseph, stay upon their boundary, on the north,
6 Ihr aber zeichnet das Land in sieben Teilen auf und berichtet mir hierher! Dann werfe ich hier vor dem Herrn, unserem Gott, das Los für euch.
but, ye, shall map out the [rest of the] land, into seven parts, —and bring in [your descriptions] unto me, here, —then will I cast lots for you here, before Yahweh our God.
7 Denn die Leviten haben kein Teil bei euch; vielmehr ist des Herrn Priestertum ihr Erbe. Gad aber und Ruben sowie der Halbstamm Manasse haben jenseits, östlich des Jordan ihren Erbbesitz erhalten, den ihnen des Herrn Diener, Moses, angewiesen hat."
For Levi hath no portion in your midst, for, the priesthood of Yahweh, is his inheritance, —and, Gad, and Reuben, and the half tribe of Manasseh, have received their inheritance, beyond the Jordan on the east, which Moses the servant of Yahweh gave unto them.
8 Da machten sich die Männer auf und gingen. Die Ausziehenden hieß Josue das Land aufzeichnen, indem er sprach: "Geht hin! Durchzieht das Land! Zeichnet es auf! Dann kommt wieder zu mir! Ich werfe dann hier vor dem Herrn zu Silo für euch das Los!"
So the men arose, and went, —and Joshua commanded them who were going, to map out the land, saying—Take your journey and go up and down in the land, and map it out, and return unto me, and, here, will I cast lots for you before Yahweh, in Shiloh.
9 Da gingen die Männer, durchzogen das Land und zeichneten es Stadt für Stadt in sieben Teilen in ein Buch. Dann kamen sie zu Josue in das Lager nach Silo.
So the men went, and passed through the land, and mapped it out by cities, into seven parts, upon a scroll, —and came in unto Joshua, unto the camp, in Shiloh.
10 Da warf Josue zu Silo vor dem Herrn für sie das Los. So verteilte Josue dort den Israeliten das Land nach ihren Abteilungen.
And Joshua cast for them lots, in Shiloh, before Yahweh, —and Joshua there apportioned the land unto the sons of Israel, according to their portions.
11 Da kam das Los des Stammes der Benjaminsöhne für seine Sippen heraus. Das Gebiet ihres Loses lag zwischen den Judäern und den Josephsöhnen.
Then came up the lot of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, by their families, —and the boundary of their lot came out, between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.
12 Ihre Grenze ging nördlich vom Jordan aus. Dann zog sich die Grenze aufwärts zu dem Bergrücken nördlich von Jericho und weiter hinauf auf das Gebirge nach Westen zu und lief nach der Steppe von Bet Awen aus.
And so their boundary, on the north border, was from the Jordan, —and the boundary goeth up unto the side of Jericho on the north, and goeth up in the hill country, westward, and the extensions thereof are towards the wilderness of Beth-aven;
13 Von da ging die Grenze nach Luz hinüber, auf die Südseite des Bergrückens von Luz, das ist Betel. Dann stieg die Grenze nach Aterot Addar hinab, dann auf den Berg südlich vom unteren Bet Choron.
and the boundary passeth over from thence towards Luz, to the side of Luz, southwards, the same, is Bethel, —and the boundary goeth down to Ataroth-addah, by the mountain that is on the south of Beth-horon the nether;
14 Dann bog die Grenze um und wandte sich auf ihrer Westseite nach Süden, von dem Berg aus, der südlich von Bet Choron liegt, und endete bei Kirjat Baal, das ist die judäische Stadt Kirjat Jearim. Das ist die Westseite.
then turneth the boundary and goeth round the west border, southward, from the mountain which faceth Beth-horon, southward, and so the extensions thereof are unto Kiriath-baal—the same, is Kiriath-jearim, a city of the sons of Judah, —this, is the west border.
15 Die Südgrenze lief von der Stadtgrenze Kirjat Jearims aus. Dann ging die Grenze westwärts bis zur Quelle des Nephtoachwassers.
And, the border southward, is from the uttermost part of Kiriath-jearim, —and the boundary goeth out westward, yea it goeth out unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;
16 Dann lief die Grenze hinab bis ans Ende des Berges, östlich vom Ben-Hinnomstal und nördlich der Rephaimebene. Dann lief sie ins Hinnomstal hinab südlich vom Bergrücken der Jebusiter und weiter hinab zur Rogelquelle.
and the boundary goeth down to the uttermost part of the mountain which faceth the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is in the Vale of Giants, northward, —and descendeth the valley of Hinnom, unto the side of the Jebusite, southward, and then descendeth to En-rogel;
17 Dann bog sie nach Norden und lief auf die Quelle von Semes zu. Dann lief sie zu den Gelilot, gegenüber der Steige von Adummim, und zog sich zum Felsen des Rubensohnes Bohan hinab
and it turneth on the north, and goeth out at En-shemesh, and goeth out unto Geliloth, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, —and goeth down by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
18 und hinüber zu dem Bergrücken, nördlich der Steppe gegenüber. Dann lief sie in die Steppe hinab.
and passeth along unto the side over against the Arabah, northward, —and goeth down toward the Arabah;
19 Dann ging die Grenze hinüber bis nördlich vom Bergrücken von Bet Chogla. Die Grenze endete an der Nordspitze des Salzmeeres, am Südende des Jordan. Das ist die Südgrenze.
and the boundary passeth along unto the side of Beth-hoglah, northward, and so the extensions of the boundary are unto the bay of the Salt Sea, northward, unto the end of the Jordan, southward, —This, is the south boundary.
20 Auf der Ostseite war der Jordan ihre Grenze. Das sind die Grenzen rings um den Erbbesitz der Benjaminitensippen.
And, the Jordan itself, boundeth it as an eastward border. This, is the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by the boundaries thereof round about, by their families.
21 Die Städte der Sippen des Benjaminitenstammes waren: Jericho, Bet Chogla, Kesistal,
So then the cities of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, by their families, are, —Jericho and Beth-hoglah, and Emekkeziz,
22 Bet Haaraba, Semaraim, Betel,
and Beth-arabah and Zemaraim, and Bethel,
23 Awim, Happara, Ophra,
and Avvim and Parah and Ophrah,
24 Kephar Haammoni, Haophni und Geba, zwölf Städte mit ihren Dörfern.
and Chephar-ammoni and Ophni, and Geba, —twelve cities, with their villages:
25 Gibeon, Harama, Beerot,
Gibeon and Ramah, and Beeroth,
26 Hammispe, Hakkephira, Hammosa,
and Mizpeh and Chephirah, and Mozah,
27 Rekem, Irpeel, Tarala,
and Rekem and Irpeel, and Taralah,
28 Sela, Haeleph und die Jebusiterstadt, das ist Jerusalem, Gibeat und Kirjat Arim, vierzehn Städte mit ihren Dörfern. Das ist der Erbbesitz der Benjaminitensippen.
and Zelah, Eleph, and the Jebusite, the same, is Jerusalem, Gibeath [and] Kiriath, fourteen cities, with their villages. This, is the inheritance of the song of Benjamin, by their families.
