Jeremia 30
1 Das Wort, das einst vom Herrn erging an Jeremias:
The word which came unto Jeremiah, from Yahweh, saying: —
2 So spricht der Herr, Gott Israels: "Schreib alle diese Worte auf, die ich zu dir geredet, in ein Buch!
Thus, speaketh Yahweh, God of Israel, saying, —Write thee all the words which I have spoken unto thee in a scroll;
3 Denn siehe, Tage kommen", ein Spruch des Herrn, "da wende ich das Schicksal meines Volkes Israel und Juda", so spricht der Herr, "und führe sie ins Land, das ihren Vätern ich zu eigen gab, zurück."
For lo! days are coming, Declareth Yahweh, when I will turn the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, Saith Yahweh, —and will bring them back into the land which I gave to their fathers that they might possess it.
4 Dies aber sind die Worte, die der Herr von Israel und Juda geredet hat:
Now, these, are the words which Yahweh hath spoken against Israel and against Judah:
5 So spricht der Herr: "Horch auf! Schon hören wir von Schrecken, von Grausen, unheilvoll.
Yea, thus, saith Yahweh, A voice of trembling, have we heard, Dread and not welfare!
6 Befragt euch! Seht, ob Männer auch gebären können? Weswegen sehe ich die Männer all mit Händen an den Hüften, wie Kreißende, und jedes Antlitz wandelt sich in Todesblässe?
Ask, I pray you, and see, whether a male travaileth with child! Why have I seen Every man with his hands upon his loins like a woman in travail, and Every face turned into ghastliness?
7 Weh! Groß ist jener Tag. Nicht gibt es seinesgleichen. Drangsalszeit für Jakob! Doch wird es darauf wiederum befreit.
Alas! for, great, is that day, so that none is like it, —Yea, a time of anguish it is for Jacob, But out of it, shall he be saved.
8 An jenem Tag geschieht's", ein Spruch des Herrn der Heerscharen, "daß ich sein Joch auf deinem Nacken zerbreche und deine Fesseln aufreiße, und Fremde sollen sie nicht länger knechten.
And it shall come to pass in that day, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, That I will break his yoke from off thy neck, And thy bonds, will I tear off, —And foreigners shall use him as a slave no more;
9 Dann dienen sie Gott, ihrem Herrn, und David, ihrem König, den ich für sie erwecke.
But they shall serve Yahweh their God, —and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.
10 Du aber fürcht dich nicht, mein Diener Jakob!" Ein Spruch des Herrn. "Erschrick nicht, Israel! Denn sieh, ich rette dich aus fernem Lande, aus dem Lande der Verbannung deinen Stamm, daß Jakob wieder ruhig wohne und niemand mehr ihn schrecke.
Thou therefore do not fear O my Servant Jacob Urgeth Yahweh, Neither be thou dismayed, O Israel, For behold me! saving thee from afar And thy seed out of the land of their captivity, —Then shall Jacob return, and rest and be quiet, And there shall be none to make him afraid;
11 Ich bin mit dir", ein Spruch des Herrn, "dich zu befreien. Denn ich vernichte gänzlich alle Völker, unter die ich dich zerstreut. Dir mache ich den Garaus nicht; ich strafe dich mit Maß. Doch straflos kann ich dich nicht lassen."
For with thee, am, I, Declareth Yahweh To save thee, —Though I make an end of all the nations whither I have scattered thee, Yet will I not of thee, make an end, But will chastise thee in measure, not holding thee, guiltless!
12 Ja, also spricht der Herr: "Dein Schaden ist unheilbar und deine Wunde bösartig.
For Thus, saith Yahweh—incurable is thine injury, —Grievous is thy wound:
13 Nach aller Urteil ist die Schwäre unheilbar; Vernarbung gibt es nicht für dich.
There is none to plead thy cause for binding thee up, —Healing bandages, hast thou none:
14 All deine Buhlen haben dich vergessen; sie kümmern sich nicht mehr um dich. Mit argen Schmerzen schlug ich dich, mit scharfer Züchtigung ob deiner vielen Sünden, der Menge deiner Missetaten.
All thy lovers, have forgotten thee, Thyself, do they not seek, —For With the wounding of an enemy, have I wounded thee With the correction of one who is cruel, Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, Because numerous have been thy sins.
15 Was schreist du denn, ob deines Schadens, und ob der Menge deiner Missetaten sei so schlimm dein Schmerz? Ob deiner vielen Sünden und ob der Menge deiner Missetaten tat ich dir dies an.
Why shouldst thou make outcry over thine injury, Incurable is thy pain? Because of the abounding of thine iniquity, [Because] numerous have been thy sins Have I done these things unto thee.
16 Jedoch sie alle, die dich aufgefressen, sie werden gleichfalls aufgefressen, und deine Dränger sollen insgesamt in die Gefangenschaft abziehen, und die dich ausgeplündert, selbst geplündert werden, und alle, die dich ausgeraubt, die gebe ich dem Raube hin.
Therefore, all who devour thee, shall be devoured, And, all thine adversaries—all of them, into captivity, shall depart, —So shall they who plundered thee, be plundered, And all who preyed upon thee, will I deliver up as a prey.
17 Vernarben laß ich deine Wunde und heile dich von deinen Plagen", ein Spruch des Herrn, "weil sie dich die 'Verstoßene' nennen, und Sion 'die, um die kein Mensch sich kümmert'."
For I will put a bandage upon thee, And from thy wounds, will I heal thee Declareth Yahweh, —Because An outcast, they called thee, ‘Tis, Zion! who hath none to ask for her welfare,
18 So spricht der Herr: "Ich wende das Geschick der Zelte Jakobs, und gnädig bin ich seinen Wohnungen. Die Stadt wird wiederum auf ihrem Hügel aufgebaut; am rechten Platze steht die Burg.
Thus, saith Yahweh—Behold me! bringing back the captivity of the tents of Jacob, And on his habitations, will I have compassion, —So shall the city be built, upon her own mound, And the citadel, upon its own site, shall remain:
19 Aus ihr klingt Lobgesang und froher Leute Jubel. Ich mehre sie, daß sie nicht kleiner werden, und ehre sie, daß sie nicht minder werden.
So shall there proceed from them thanksgiving, and The sound of them who make merry, —And I will multiply them, and they shall not become few, And will make them honourable, and they shall not be despised:
20 Wie vordem sind mir seine Söhne lieb und wert, und seine Volksgemeinde steht vor mir geschlossen da. Doch Heimsuchung bereite ich all seinen Bedrückern.
And, his sons, shall come to be as aforetime, And, his assembly, before me, shall continue, —And I will bring punishment on all his oppressors;
21 Sein Herrscher wird ihm selbst entstammen, und sein Gebieter kommt aus seiner eigenen Mitte. Zutritt gewähre ich auch ihm, daß er mir nahe. Wen gäb' es sonst, der dran sein Leben wagen wollte, zu mir herzutreten?" Ein Spruch des Herrn.
And, his illustrious one, shall spring, from himself, And his ruler, from his own midst, shall proceed, And I will bring him near and he shall approach unto me, —For who is there that hath pledged his own heart to approach unto me? Demandeth Yahweh:
22 "Dann seid ihr mir zum Volk, und ich, zu eurem Gotte werde ich."
So shall ye become my people; And, I, will become your God.
23 Der Sturm des Herrn, ein Grimm, ganz außerordentlich, ein Wirbelsturm, ganz ungewöhnlich, der auf das Haupt der Frevler wirbelt.
Lo! the tempest of Yahweh! Indignation, hath come forth, A tempest rolling itself upward, —Upon the head of the lawless ones, shall it hurl itself down!
24 Der Flammenzorn des Herrn kehrt nicht zurück, bevor er ihn austoben ließ, und bis er seine Pläne ausgeführt. Am Schluß der Tage sehet ihr das ein.
The fierceness of the anger of Yahweh will not turn back, Until he hath executed nor Until he hath established The purposes of his heart, —In the afterpart of the days, shall ye understand it.
