Jesaja 4

1 Und sieben Weiber hängen sich an einen Mann an jenem Tag und sagen ihm: "Wir wollen unser eignes Brot verzehren, in unser eigenes Gewand uns kleiden. Nur laß uns deinen Namen führen! Hinweg nimm unsere Schmach."

And seven women will take hold of one man in that day, saying, Our own bread, will we eat, And our own apparel, will we wear, —Only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.

2 An jenem Tage dient der Sproß des Herrn zu Schmuck und Preis, des Landes Frucht zum Stolz und Ruhm dem Reste Israels, der noch gerettet wird.

In that day, Shall the Bud of Yahweh, become beautiful and glorious, —And the Fruit of the Land splendid and majestic, To the escaped of Israel.

3 Und wer in Sion übrigbleibt und in Jerusalem noch übrig ist, der heißt ein Heiliger, der in Jerusalem gebucht zum Leben.

And it shall come to pass—He that is left in Zion! And he that remaineth in Jerusalem, Shall be called, holy, —Everyone written unto life in Jerusalem.

4 Hat erst der Herr der Sionstöchter Unflat abgewaschen, die Blutschuld aus Jerusalem hinweggeschafft durch des Gerichtes Sturmflut und durch Feuerguß,

When My Lord shall have bathed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, And the blood-guiltiness of Jerusalem, he shall wash away out of her midst, —By the spirit of judgment, and By the spirit of thorough cleansing,

5 dann schafft der Herr ob jedem Platz des Sionsberges und über allen den Zusammenkünften daselbst Gewölk und Rauch bei Tag und lichten Feuerglanz bei Nacht. Denn über aller Herrlichkeit ist da die Decke eines Baldachins

Then will Yahweh, create—Over all the home of Mount Zion and Over her assembly, A cloud by day and a smoke, And the shining of a fire-flame, by night, —For over all the glory, shall be a canopy;

6 bei Tag zum Schatten vor der Hitze, und zum Versteck und Schutz vor Guß und Regen.

And a pavilion, shall there be For a shade by day, from the heat, —and For a refuge and for a shelter, from storm and from rain.
