Hebraeer 13
1 Die Bruderliebe soll bleiben.
Let brotherly love continue.
2 Vergesset nicht die Gastfreundschaft. Ohne es zu wissen, haben einige dadurch Engel beherbergt.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
3 Gedenket der Gefangenen, als wäret ihr mitgefangen, und der Mißhandelten als solche, die noch im Leibe leben.
Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; [and] them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.
4 Die Ehe sei bei allen ehrbar und unbefleckt das Ehebett. Unzüchtige und Ehebrecher wird Gott richten.
Marriage [is] honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
5 Euer Lebenswandel sei frei von Geldgier. Seid mit dem zufrieden, was ihr habt. Er selbst hat ja gesagt: "Ich werde niemals dich verlassen und nie dich preisgeben."
[Let your] conversation [be] without covetousness; [and be] content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So können wir getrost erklären: "Mein Helfer ist der Herr; ich brauche mich nicht zu fürchten; was könnte auch ein Mensch mir antun."
So that we may boldly say, The Lord [is] my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
7 Erinnert euch an eure Vorsteher, die euch das Wort Gottes verkündet haben. Betrachtet genau das Ende ihres Wandels und ahmt ihren Glauben nach.
Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of [their] conversation.
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. (aiōn g165)
9 Laßt euch durch allerlei fremdartige Lehren nicht irremachen. Es ist doch besser, das Herz durch Gnaden stark zu machen als durch Opferspeisen, von denen jene keinen Nutzen hatten, die davon lebten.
Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For [it is] a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.
10 Wir haben einen Altar, von dem die nicht essen dürfen, die dem Zelte dienen.
We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle.
11 Denn die Leiber jener Tiere, von deren Blut vom Hohenpriester zur Sühne für die Sünden etwas in das Allerheiligste getragen wird, werden außerhalb des Lagers verbrannt.
For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.
12 Darum hat auch Jesus, um durch sein Blut sein Volk zu heiligen, außerhalb des Stadttores gelitten.
Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.
13 So laßt uns denn zu ihm vors Tor hinausgehen und seine Schmach tragen.
Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.
14 Wir haben hienieden keine bleibende Stätte: wir trachten vielmehr nach der kommenden.
For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.
15 Wir wollen Gott durch ihn beständig Lobopfer bringen; die Frucht von Lippen meine ich, die seinen Namen preisen.
By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of [our] lips giving thanks to his name.
16 Vergeßt nicht, wohltätig zu sein und mitzuteilen; an solchen Opfern hat Gott Wohlgefallen.
But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17 Gehorchet euern Vorstehern und folget ihnen. Sie wachen nämlich über eure Seelen, weil sie darüber Rechenschaft ablegen müssen. O, möchten sie doch dies mit Freude tun und nicht mit Seufzen. Das brächte euch ja keinen Nutzen.
Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.
18 Betet für uns! Wir sind überzeugt, daß wir ein gutes Gewissen haben, weil wir in allem rechtschaffen zu wandeln suchen.
Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
19 Um so inniger ermahne ich euch, dies zu tun, damit ich um so rascher euch wiedergegeben werde.
But I beseech [you] the rather to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner.
20 Der Gott des Friedens, der den erhabenen Hirten der Schafe, unseren Herrn Jesus, durch das Blut des ewigen Bundes von den Toten auferweckt hat, (aiōnios g166)
Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, (aiōnios g166)
21 befähige euch zu allem Guten, damit ihr seinen Willen tut. Durch Jesus Christus wirkte er in uns, was vor ihm wohlgefällig ist. Ihm sei Ehre von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeiten! Amen. (aiōn g165)
Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
22 Ich bitte euch, meine Brüder, nehmt dieses Mahnwort willig auf; ich habe euch ja nur kurz geschrieben.
And I beseech you, brethren, suffer the word of exhortation: for I have written a letter unto you in few words.
23 Wißt, daß Timotheus, unser Bruder, wieder frei ist; ich werde euch mit ihm besuchen, sobald er kommt.
Know ye that [our] brother Timothy is set at liberty; with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.
24 Grüßt alle eure Vorsteher und alle Heiligen! Es grüßen euch die Brüder in Italien!
Salute all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. They of Italy salute you.
25 Die Gnade sei mit euch allen! Amen.
Grace [be] with you all. Amen.
