5 Mose 26
1 "Kommst du in das Land, das dir der Herr, dein Gott, zu eigen gibt, nimmst du es in Besitz und siedelst du darin,
And it shall be when thou shalt enter into the land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee for an inheritance, —and shalt possess it and dwell therein,
2 dann nimm einen Teil des ersten Abhubs all der Feldfrüchte, die du aus deinem Lande einbringst, das dir der Herr, dein Gott, gibt, lege sie in einen Korb und gehe zu der Stätte, die der Herr, dein Gott, erwählt, um seinen Namen dort wohnen zu lassen!
then shalt thou take—of the first of all the fruit of the soil which thou shalt bring in from thy land which Yahweh thy God is giving unto thee and shalt put it in a basket, —and go thy way unto the place which Yahweh thy God shall choose, to make a habitation for his name there.
3 Tritt zu dem Priester hin, der zu jener Zeit Dienste tut, und sprich zu ihm: 'Hiermit zeige ich heute dem Herrn, deinem Gott, an, daß ich in das Land gekommen bin, das uns zu geben der Herr unseren Vätern zugeschworen!'
And thou shalt come in unto the priest who shall be in those days, —and shalt say unto him—I declare to-day unto Yahweh thy God, that I am come into the land which Yahweh sware unto our fathers that he would give unto us.
4 Dann nehme der Priester den Korb aus deiner Hand und stelle ihn vor den Altar des Herrn, deines Gottes!
Then shall the priest take the basket out of thy hand, —and set it down before the altar of Yahweh thy God.
5 Dann heb an und sprich also vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott: 'Ein Aramäer, stammgetrennt, ist mein Ahn gewesen. Er zog mit einem geringen Häuflein nach Ägypten, war dort zu Gast und ward daselbst zu großem, starkem und zahlreichem Volke.
And thou shalt respond and say before Yahweh thy God—A Syrian ready to perish, was my father, so he went down to Egypt, and became a sojourner there with men only few; but he became there a nation great, mighty and numerous;
6 Die Ägypter aber Behandelten uns und bedrückten uns und legten uns harte Arbeit auf!
and the Egyptians, badly entreated us, and humiliated us, —and put upon us harsh service;
7 Da schrieen wir zum Herrn, dem Gott unserer Väter. Und der Herr erhörte unser Rufen und sah auf unser Elend, unsere Mühsal und Qual.
so we made outcry unto Yahweh God of our fathers, —and Yahweh hearkened unto our voice, and looked upon our humiliation and our toil, and our oppression;
8 Dann führte der Herr uns aus Ägypten mit starker Hand und ausgerecktem Arme, mit furchtbarer Macht und unter Zeichen und Wundern.
and Yahweh, brought us forth, out of Egypt, with a firm hand and with a stretched-out arm, and with great terror, —and with signs and with wonders;
9 Er brachte uns an diese Stätte und gab uns dieses Land, ein Land, von Milch und Honig fließend.
and brought us into this place, and gave unto us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10 Und hier bringe ich den ersten Abhub der Früchte aus dem Lande, das Du mir gegeben, Herr!' Damit laß sie beim Herrn deinem Gott, wirf dich nieder vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott,
Now, therefore lo! I have brought in the first of the fruit of the soil, which thou hast given unto me, O Yahweh. Thus shalt thou set it down before Yahweh thy God, and shall bow thyself down before Yahweh thy God;
11 und freue dich an all dem Segen, den dir und deinem Haus der Herr, dein Gott, geschenkt, du selbst, der Levite und der Fremdling bei dir!
and shalt rejoice in all the good things which Yahweh thy God, hath given unto thee, and unto thy house, —thou and the Levite, and the sojourner who is in thy midst.
12 Lieferst du vollständig im dritten Jahre, dem Zehntjahre, den ganzen Zehnten deiner Erträgnisse ab, dann gib ihn den Leviten, Fremdlingen, Waisen und Witwen, damit sie ihn in deinen Toren verzehren und sich sättigen!
When thou shalt make an end of tithing all the tithe of thine increase in the third year the year of tithing, —and shalt give unto the Levite unto the sojourner, unto the fatherless and unto the widow, and they shall eat within thy gates and be satisfied,
13 Dann erkläre vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott: 'Ich habe das Heilige aus dem Haus geschafft und es den Leviten, Fremdlingen, Waisen und Witwen gegeben, genau nach Deinem Gebote, das Du mir geboten. Ich habe keines Deiner Gebote übertreten und keines vergessen.
then shalt thou say—before Yahweh thy God: —I have carefully removed that which was hallowed out of the house moreover also I have given it unto the Levite, and unto the sojourner unto the fatherless and unto the widow, according to all thy commandment which thou hast commanded me, —I have not transgressed any of thy commandments neither have I forgotten,
14 Ich habe nichts davon im Tempel genossen und nichts davon beseitigt in unfrommer Weise und habe nichts davon einem Toten gegeben. Ich gehorche der Stimme des Herrn, meines Gottes, und tue alles, was Du mir befahlst.
I have not eaten in my sorrow therefrom neither have I removed therefrom when unclean, neither have I given thereof unto the dead, —I have hearkened unto the voice of Yahweh my God, I have done according to all which thou hast commanded me.
15 Neige Dich von Deiner heiligen Wohnung, vom Himmel, und segne Dein Volk Israel und die Scholle, die Du uns gegeben, wie Du unseren Vätern zugeschworen, ein Land, von Milch und Honig fließend!'
Look thou down out of thy holy habitation out of the heavens and bless thy people Israel, and the soil which thou hast given unto us, —as thou didst swear unto our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
16 Heute befiehlt dir der Herr, dein Gott, diese Gebote und Gebräuche zu tun. So befolge sie sorgfältig von ganzem Herzen und aus ganzer Seele!
This day, is Yahweh thy God commanding thee to do these statutes and the regulations, —thou shalt therefore observe and do them, with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
17 Du erklärst heute von dem Herrn, er soll dein Gott sein und du wollest in seinen Wegen wandeln, seine Gesetze, Gebote und Gebräuche halten und seiner Stimme gehorchen.
Thou hast avowed to-day that Yahweh, shall be, thy God, and that thou wilt walk in his ways, and keep his statutes and his commandments and his regulations and wilt hearken unto his voice.
18 Und der Herr erklärt heute von dir, du sollest ihm ein Sondervolk sein, wie er dir verheißen, wenn du all seine Gebote befolgst.
And, Yahweh, hath avowed to-day that thou shalt be, his people, as a treasure, as he spake unto thee, —and that thou shalt observe all his commandments;
19 Er wolle dich hoch über alle Völker setzen, die er geschaffen, zu Preis, Ruhm und Ehre, und du sollst dem Herrn, deinem Gott, ein heiliges Volk sein, wie er zugesagt hat."
and [hath avowed] that he will set thee on high above all the nations which he hath made, for praise, and for renown and for glory, and that thou shalt be a holy people unto Yahweh thy God as he hath spoken.
