2 Chronik 29
1 Ezechias ward mit fünfundzwanzig Jahren König und regierte in Jerusalem neunundzwanzig Jahre. Seine Mutter hieß Abia und war die Tochter des Zakarja.
And, Hezekiah, began to reign when he was twenty-five years old, and, twenty-nine years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Abijah, daughter of Zechariah.
2 Er tat, was dem Herrn gefiel, ganz wie sein Ahnherr David getan hatte.
And he did that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, David his father, had done.
3 Er öffnete im ersten Regierungsjahr, gleich im ersten Monat, die Tore am Hause des Herrn; dann machte er sie fest.
He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, opened the doors of the house of Yahweh, and repaired them.
4 Er ließ die Priester und Leviten kommen und versammelte sie auf dem freien Platz im Osten.
And he brought in the priests, and the Levites, —and gathered them together in the broadway on the east;
5 Er sprach zu ihnen: "Hört mich an, ihr Leviten! Heiligt euch jetzt! Heiligt auch das Haus des Herrn, des Gottes eurer Väter, und schafft den Unrat aus dem Heiligtum!
and said unto them, Hear me, O Levites! Now, hallow yourselves, and hallow the house of Yahweh, God of your fathers, and take forth the impure thing out of the holy place.
6 Denn unsere Väter sind treulos geworden und haben getan, was dem Herrn mißfiel, und so verließen sie ihn. Sie wandten ihr Antlitz von des Herrn Wohnung und zeigen ihr den Rücken.
For our fathers have acted unfaithfully and done the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh our God, and have forsaken him, -and have turned round their faces from the habitation of Yahweh, and have offered their backs.
7 Auch haben sie die Tore der Vorhalle geschlossen; dann löschten sie die Lampen; Räucherwerk haben sie nicht mehr angezündet und im Heiligtum dem Gott Israels kein Brandopfer mehr dargebracht.
Moreover they have shut up the doors of the porch, and have quenched the lamps, and, incense, have they not burned, -and, ascending-sacrifice, have they not caused to go up in the holy place, unto the God of Israel.
8 So kam des Herrn Zorn über Juda und Jerusalem. Er machte sie zu einem Schreckbild und Gegenstand des Entsetzens und Gezisches, wie ihr mit eigenen Augen sehet!
Thus hath it come to pass, that, the wrath of Yahweh, hath been upon Judah and Jerusalem, —and he hath delivered them up as a terror and as an astonishment and as hissing, even as, ye, can see with your own eyes.
9 Nun! Unsere Väter sind durch das Schwert gefallen, und unsere Söhne, Töchter und Weiber sind deshalb gefangen.
And lo! our fathers have fallen by the sword, and, our sons and our daughters and our wives, are in captivity for this.
10 Jetzt habe ich im Sinn, mit dem Herrn, Israels Gott, einen Bund zu schließen, auf daß sein grimmer Zorn von uns lasse.
Now, is it near my heart, to solemnise a covenant unto Yahweh, God of Israel, —that he may turn from him the glow of his anger.
11 Zeigt euch jetzt nicht lässig, meine Söhne! Denn euch hat der Herr erwählt, um vor ihm zu stehen, ihm zu dienen und zu räuchern."
My sons! now, do not be faulty, —for, of you, hath Yahweh made choice, to stand before him, and to wait upon him, and to be his attendants and burners of incense.
12 Da erhoben sich die Leviten Machat, Amasais Sohn, und Joel, Azarjahus Sohn, von den Kehatitersöhnen, von den Merarisöhnen Kis, Abdis Sohn, und Azarjahu, Jehallelels Sohn, von den Gersuniten Joach, Zimmas Sohn, und Eden, Joachs Sohn,
Then arose the Levites—Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathites, and, of the sons of Merari, Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehallelel, —and, of the Gershonites, Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;
13 von den Söhnen Elisaphans Simri und Jeiel, von den Asaphsöhnen Zakarjahu und Mattanjahu,
and, of the sons of Elizaphan, Shimri and Jeiel, —and, of the sons of Asaph, Zechariah, and Mattaniah;
14 von den Hemansöhnen Jechiel und Simi und von den Söhnen Jedutuns Semaja und Uzziel.
and, of the sons of Heman, Jehiel and Shimei, —and, of the sons of Jeduthun, Shemaiah, and Uzziel;
15 Sie versammelten ihre Brüder und heiligten sich. Dann kamen sie, nach des Königs Befehl, auf das Wort des Herrn, das Haus des Herrn zu reinigen.
and they gathered together their brethren, who hallowed themselves, and came in according to the command of the king, in the things of Yahweh, —to purify the house of Yahweh.
16 Die Priester gingen in das Innere im Haus des Herrn, es zu reinigen. Sie schafften alles Unreine, das sie in des Herrn Tempel gefunden, in den Vorhof am Hause des Herrn. Die Leviten nahmen es in Empfang und schafften es an den Kidronbach.
So the priests entered into the inner part of the house of Yahweh, to make purification, and they brought out every unclean thing which they found in the temple of Yahweh, into the court of the house of Yahweh, —where the Levites received it, to carry it forth to the Kidron ravine outside.
17 Sie begannen am ersten Tage des ersten Monats mit der Weihe, und am achten Tage des Monats waren sie bis zu des Herrn Vorhalle gelangt. In weiteren acht Tagen weihten sie das Haus des Herrn, und am sechzehnten Tage des ersten Monats waren sie fertig geworden.
And they began, on the first of the first month, to hallow, —and, on the eighth day of the month, they came to the porch of Yahweh, so they hallowed the house of Yahweh in eight days, —and, on the sixteenth day of the first month, they finished.
18 Dann kamen sie zu König Ezechias hinein und sprachen: "Wir haben das ganze Haus des Herrn gereinigt, auch den Brandopferaltar und all seine Geräte, sowie den Schaubrottisch und all seine Geräte.
Then came they in unto Hezekiah the king, and said, We have purified all the house of Yahweh, —the altar of ascending-sacrifice, and all the utensils thereof, and the table for setting in array, and all the utensils thereof.
19 Alle Geräte, die der König Achaz während seiner Regierung in seiner Untreue beiseite geworfen, haben wir wieder aufgestellt und sie eingeweiht. Sie stehen jetzt vor dem Altar des Herrn."
And, all the utensils which King Ahaz in his reign rejected when he acted unfaithfully, have we made ready and hallowed, —and, there they are, before the altar of Yahweh.
20 Da versammelte der König Ezechias in aller Frühe die Fürsten der Stadt und ging hinauf zum Hause des Herrn.
So Hezekiah the king rose up early, and gathered together the rulers of the city, —and went up to the house of Yahweh.
21 Sie brachten sieben Farren, sieben Widder und sieben Lämmer, dazu sieben Ziegenböcke zum Sündopfer für das Königtum, für das Heiligtum und für Juda. Er befahl den priesterlichen Aaronssöhnen, sie auf des Herrn Altar zu opfern.
And they brought in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven young sheep, and seven he-goats for bearing sin, for the kingdom and for the sanctuary and for Judah, —and he bade the sons of Aaron, the priests, cause them to ascend upon the altar of Yahweh.
22 Da schlachteten sie die Rinder. Die Priester fingen das Blut auf und sprengten es an den Altar. Sodann schlachteten sie die Widder und sprengten das Blut an den Altar. Hierauf schlachteten sie die Lämmer und sprengten das Blut an den Altar.
So they slaughtered the bullocks, and the priests received the blood, and dashed it against the altar, —and they slaughtered the rams, and dashed the blood against the altar, and slaughtered the young sheep, and dashed the blood against the altar.
23 Dann brachten sie die Sündopferböcke vor den König und die Gemeinde, und sie legten ihnen ihre Hände auf.
And they brought near the he-goats for bearing sin, before the king, and the convocation, —and they leaned their hands upon them;
24 Die Priester schlachteten sie und brachten ihr Blut zur Entsündigung an den Altar, um für ganz Israel Sühne zu schaffen. Denn für ganz Israel hatte der König das Brand- und das Sündopfer bestimmt.
and the priests slaughtered them, and sin-cleansed, with their blood, the altar, to put a propitiatory-covering over all Israel, -because, for all Israel, did the king appoint the ascending-sacrifice and the offering for bearing sin.
25 Hierauf stellte er die Leviten am Hause des Herrn auf mit Zimbeln, Harfen und Zithern, nach dem Befehle Davids, des königlichen Sehers Gad und des Propheten Natan. Denn von dem Herrn war das Gebot durch seine Propheten ergangen.
And he caused the Levites to stand in the house of Yahweh, with cymbals and with harps and with lyres, by the commandment of David, and of Gad the seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, —for, by the hand of Yahweh, came the commandment by the hand of his prophets.
26 So standen die Leviten mit Davids Musikgeräten da und die Priester mit Trompeten.
So the Levites took their stand, with the instruments of David, and the priests, with the trumpets.
27 Ezechias gebot nun, das Brandopfer auf den Altar zu bringen. Als das Opfern anfing, begannen der Gesang auf den Herrn und die Trompeten, und zwar unter Begleitung der Musikgeräte Davids, des Königs von Israel.
And Hezekiah gave word, to cause the ascending-sacrifice to go up on the altar, —and, when the ascending-sacrifice began, the singing unto Yahweh began, and the trumpets, even under the direction of the instruments of David, king of Israel.
28 Die ganze Gemeinde aber warf sich nieder. Der Gesang erklang, und die Trompeten schmetterten. Das alles, bis das Brandopfer fertig war.
And, all the convocation, were bowing themselves in prostration, and, the song, was resounding and the trumpets were blowing, -the whole, until the completing of the ascending-sacrifice.
29 Als man mit dem Opfern fertig war, knieten der König und alle bei ihm und beteten an.
And, when the offering was complete, the king knelt down and all who were present with him, and bowed themselves in prostration.
30 Dann ließ der König Ezechias samt den Obersten die Leviten dem Herrn lobsingen mit den Gesängen Davids und des Sehers Asaph. Da sangen sie mit Freude den Lobpreis, neigten sich und beteten an.
And Hezekiah the king and the rulers gave word to the Levites, to offer praise unto Yahweh, in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, —so they offered praise right joyfully, and bent their heads and bowed themselves in prostration.
31 Dann hob Ezechias an und sprach: "Opfert nunmehr reichlich dem Herrn! Kommt herbei und bringt zum Hause des Herrn Schlacht- und Dankopfer!" Da brachte die Gemeinde Schlacht- und Dankopfer und jeder Edelgesinnte Brandopfer.
Then responded Hezekiah and said—Now, have ye consecrated yourselves unto Yahweh. Draw near, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings unto the house of Yahweh, -So the convocation brought sacrifices and thank-offerings, and, everyone of a willing heart, [brought] ascending-sacrifices.
32 Die Zahl der Brandopfer, die die Gemeinde darbrachte, betrug siebzig Rinder, hundert Widder und zweihundert Lämmer, diese alle als Brandopfer für den Herrn.
And it came to pass that, the number of ascending-sacrifices which the convocation brought, was—seventy bullocks, and a hundred rams, and two hundred young sheep, —as an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, all these.
33 Die heiligen Gaben betrugen sechshundert Rinder und dreitausend Schafe.
But, the hallowed beasts, were six hundred bullocks, and three thousand sheep.
34 Nur waren der Priester zuwenig, und sie konnten nicht allen Brandopfern die Haut abziehen. Da halfen ihnen ihre Brüder, die Leviten, bis die Arbeit fertig war und bis sich die Priester heiligen konnten. Denn die Leviten waren redlich bestrebt, sich mehr zu heiligen als die Priester.
Only, the priests, were too few, and were unable to flay all the ascending-sacrifices, —so their brethren the Levites strengthened them, until the work was complete and until the priests had hallowed themselves, for, the Levites, were more upright in heart to hallow themselves, than the priests.
35 Aber es waren auch der Brandopfer sehr viele samt den Fettstücken der Mahlopfer und den Trankopfern für die Brandopfer. So war der Dienst am Hause des Herrn geordnet.
Moreover also, the ascending-sacrifices, were in abundance, with the fat portions of the peace-offerings, and with the drink-offerings to every ascending-sacrifice, -thus was established the service of the house of Yahweh.
36 Ezechias aber und das ganze Volk freuten sich über das, was Gott dem Volke bereitet hatte; denn die Sache war unerwartet geschehen.
And Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because God had established it for the people, —for, suddenly, had the thing come about.
