1 Korinther 6
1 Wagt es wirklich einer unter euch, der einen Rechtsstreit mit einem andern hat, sein Recht bei den Ungerechten zu suchen, und nicht vielmehr bei den Heiligen?
If any of you has a dispute against another, does he dare go to court before the unrighteous, instead of the saints?
2 Wißt ihr denn nicht, daß die Heiligen die Welt richten werden? Wenn also schon die Welt von euch gerichtet wird, solltet ihr da nicht würdig sein, auch Gerichte über Kleinigkeiten abzuhalten?
Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
3 Wißt ihr denn nicht, daß wir Engel richten werden? Um wieviel mehr denn Vermögensangelegenheiten!
Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?
4 Wenn ihr nun über Vermögensangelegenheiten zu Gericht sitzt, dann bestellt ihr die zu Richtern, die in der Gemeinde am wenigsten Ansehen haben.
If then, you have to judge things pertaining to this life, do you set them to judge who have no standing in the church?
5 Euch zur Beschämung sage ich dies. Gibt es keinen einzigen Weisen unter euch, der zwischen seinen Brüdern als Richter walten könnte?
I say this to move you to shame. Is there not even one wise person among you who would be able to decide between a brother and his brother?
6 Nein, Bruder geht gegen Bruder vor Gericht, und dies auch noch zu Ungläubigen.
But brother goes to law with brother, and that before unbelievers.
7 Überhaupt ist dies schon ein Fehler an euch, daß ihr Streitigkeiten miteinander habt. Warum leidet ihr nicht lieber Unrecht? Warum laßt ihr euch nicht lieber übervorteilen?
Actually, it is already a defeat for you, that you have lawsuits among yourselves. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?
8 Doch ihr selber übt ja Unrecht und Übervorteilung, und dies sogar an Brüdern!
No, but you yourselves do wrong, and cheat, and that against your brothers.
9 Wißt ihr denn nicht, daß Ungerechte das Reich Gottes nicht erben werden? Gebt euch keiner Täuschung hin! Unzüchtige, Götzendiener, Ehebrecher, Lüstlinge, Knabenschänder,
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor men who have sexual relations with men,
10 Diebe, Habsüchtige, Trunkenbolde, Lästerer, Räuber werden keinen Teil am Reiche Gottes haben.
nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, will inherit the Kingdom of God.
11 Und so etwas seid ihr zum Teil gewesen. Doch ihr seid abgewaschen, ihr seid geheiligt, ihr seid gerechtfertigt im Namen unseres Herrn Jesus Christus und im Geist unseres Gottes.
Such were some of you, but you were washed. But you were sanctified. But you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the Spirit of our God.
12 Alles ist mir erlaubt, jedoch ist nicht alles von Nutzen; alles ist mir erlaubt, doch ich soll mich von nichts beherrschen lassen.
"All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
13 Die Speisen sind für den Magen da, der Magen für die Speisen; doch Gott wird beide einst vernichten. Der Leib dagegen ist nicht für die Unzucht da, sondern für den Herrn, und der Herr für den Leib.
"Foods for the belly, and the belly for foods," but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
14 Gott aber, der den Herrn auferweckt hat, wird auch uns durch seine Macht auferwecken.
Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.
15 Wißt ihr denn nicht, daß eure Leiber Glieder Christi sind? Soll ich die Glieder Christi also nehmen und sie zu Gliedern einer Hure machen? Nein, nimmermehr!
Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Should I then take the members of Christ, and make them members of a prostitute? Absolutely not.
16 Oder wißt ihr nicht, daß, wer mit einer Hure Umgang hat, ein Leib ist? Es heißt ja: "Die zwei werden zu einem Fleische werden."
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body? For he says, "The two will become one flesh."
17 Wer aber mit dem Herrn Umgang hat, ist ein Geist mit ihm.
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.
18 Flieht die Unzucht! Denn jede Sünde, die ein Mensch begeht, bleibt außerhalb des Leibes; der Unzüchtige dagegen sündigt an seinem eigenen Leibe.
Flee sexual immorality. "Every sin that a person does is outside the body," but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
19 Oder wißt ihr nicht, daß euer Leib ein Tempel des Heiligen Geistes ist, der in euch wohnt, den ihr von Gott empfangen habt, und daß ihr euch nicht mehr selbst angehört?
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you, which you have from God? You are not your own,
20 Um einen Preis seid ihr erkauft. Verherrlicht und traget also Gott in eurem Leibe!
for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.
