1 Chronik 16
1 Sie aber brachten die Gotteslade hinein und stellten sie mitten in das Zelt, das David dafür ausgespannt hatte. Dann brachten sie vor Gott Brand- und Dankopfer dar.
So they brought in the ark of God, and placed it in the midst of the tent, which David had pitched for it, —and they brought near ascending-sacrifices and peace-offerings, before God.
2 Als nun David mit der Darbringung der Brand und Dankopfer fertig war, segnete er das Volk im Namen des Herrn.
And, when David had made an end of offering the ascending-sacrifices, and the peace-offerings, he blessed the people, in the name of Yahweh.
3 Dann verteilte er an alle Israeliten, Männer wie Weiber, je einen Brotkuchen, einen Laib und einen Traubenkuchen.
And he apportioned, to every one of Israel, both man and woman, —to every one, a loaf of bread, and a sweet drink, and a raisin cake.
4 Vor die Lade des Herrn aber bestellte er einige Leviten als Diener, daß sie den Herrn, Israels Gott, priesen, ihm dankten und ihn rühmten:
And he placed before the ark of Yahweh certain of the Levites, as attendants, —and to celebrate, and to give thanks and render praise, unto Yahweh, God of Israel;
5 Asaph, das Oberhaupt, und Zakarja, den zweiten im Range nach ihm, sodann Jeiel, Semiramot, Jechiel, Mattitja, Eliab, Benajahu, Obededom und Jeiel mit Harfen und Zithern. Asaph aber sollte die Zimbeln ertönen lassen,
Asaph the chief, and, second to him, Zechariah, —Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, with instruments of harps, and with lyres, and Asaph with cymbals, sounding aloud:
6 ebenso die Priester Benajahu und Zachaziel beständig die Trompeten vor der Bundeslade Gottes.
and Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, —with trumpets continually, before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Damals übertrug David zuerst Asaph und seinen Brüdern den Lobpreis des Herrn:
On that day, then, David gave [these songs] in chief, to give thanks unto Yahweh, —through Asaph, and his brethren: —
8 "Dem Herrn sagt Dank! Verherrlicht seinen Namen! Kund machet seine Taten den Nationen!
Give ye thanks to Yahweh, Call upon his name, Make known among the peoples, his doings;
9 Lobsinget ihm! Lobt ihn! Erzählt von allen seinen Wundern!
Sing ye to him, Make music unto him, Speak ye of all his wonders.
10 In seinem heiligen Namen rühmet euch. Wer da den Herrn sucht, freue sich von Herzen!
Boast yourselves in his holy name, Joyful be the heart of them who are seeking Yahweh.
11 Verlanget nach dem Herrn und seiner Herrlichkeit! Sein Antlitz suchet immerfort!
Search out Yahweh, and his power, Seek diligently his face, at all times.
12 Gedenkt der Wunder all, die er gewirkt, der Zeichen, seiner Richtersprüche!
Remember his wonders which he hath done, His splendid deeds, and the just decisions of his mouth.
13 Du, seines Knechtes Israel Geschlecht, ihr Söhne Jakobs, seine Auserwählten!
O ye seed of Israel his servant, sons of Jacob his chosen ones:
14 Der Herr ist unser Gott, und auf der ganzen Erde gelten seine Urteile.
Yahweh himself, is our God, through all the land, are his just decisions.
15 In Ewigkeit gedenkt er seines Bundes und seines Wortes, das er ausgesprochen, bis in das tausendste Geschlecht,
Remember yea to times age-abiding, his covenant, the word he hath commanded, to a thousand generations;
16 des Bundes, den er einst mit Abraham geschlossen, und seines Eides, den er Isaak zugeschworen,
Which he solemnised with Abraham, and his oath, to Isaac;
17 den er für Jakob als ein Recht bestätigt, für Israel als ewigen Bund.
And confirmed it, unto Jacob, for a statute, unto Israel, as a covenant age-abiding:
18 Er sprach: 'Dir gebe ich der Kanaaniter Land als euer erblich Eigentum.'
Saying, To thee, will I give the land of Canaan, as your inherited portion:
19 Noch klein war damals ihre Zahl; sie waren wenige und fremd darin.
While, as yet, ye were men who could be counted, a very few, and sojourners therein:
20 Sie wanderten von einem Heidenvolk zum anderen, von einem Reich zu einer anderen Nation.
And they wandered from nation to nation, and from one kingdom, to another people:
21 Er hat niemand gestattet, sie zu drücken; er warnte ihretwegen Könige.
He suffered no man to oppress them, And reproved—for their sakes—kings!
22 'Vergreift euch nicht an den von mir Gesalbten! Nicht füget meinen Sehern Schaden zu!'
Ye may not touch mine Anointed ones, And, to my Prophets, may ye do no wrong.
23 Dem Herrn lobsinge alle Welt! Sein Heil tut kund von Meer zu Meer!
Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, Tell the tidings, from day to day, of his salvation:
24 Verkündet bei den Heiden seinen Ruhm, bei allen Völkern seine Wunder,
Recount, among the nations, his glory, among all the peoples, his wonders.
25 ist doch der Herr so groß und hoch zu preisen, vor allen Göttern ehrfurchtswert!
For great is Yahweh, and worthy to be mightily praised, and to be revered is he above all gods;
26 Der Völker Götter alle sind ja Götzen; des Himmels Schöpfer ist der Herr.
For, all the gods of the peoples, are things of nought, but, Yahweh, made, the heavens.
27 Vor ihn mit Glanz und Herrlichkeit! Mit Macht und Pracht zu seinem Heiligtum!
Praise and majesty, are before him, Strength and joy, are in his dwelling-place.
28 So bringt dem Herrn, ihr Völkerscharen, herbei bringt Pracht und Macht dem Herrn!
Give to Yahweh, ye families of the peoples, Give to Yahweh, glory and strength:
29 So bringt dem Herrn zu seines Namens Ehre Gaben! Betretet mit Geschenken seine Vorhöfe! Hinwerft euch vor dem Herrn mit Schmuck fürs Heiligtum!
Give to Yahweh, the glory of his name, —Bring ye a present, and enter before him, Bow down to Yahweh, in the adornment of holiness:
30 Vor ihm erzittere alle Welt! Dann steht die Erde ohne Wanken.
Tremble at his presence, all the earth, But the world, shall be established, it shall not be shaken.
31 Der Himmel freue sich, die Erde jauchze; zurufen sollen sie den Heiden: 'Der Herr ist König!'
Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth exult, Let them say among the nations, Yahweh, hath become king!
32 Es brause auf das Meer und seine Fülle; die Flur und alles, was darin, frohlocke!
Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof, Let the field leap for joy, and all that is therein:
33 Des Waldes Bäume sollen jubeln vor dem Herrn! Er kommt, die Erde jetzt zu richten.
Then, shall shout in triumph, the trees of the forest, before Yahweh, for he is coming, to judge the earth.
34 So dankt dem Herrn! Denn er ist gütig. Ja, ewig währet seine Huld.
Give ye thanks unto Yahweh, For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
35 Und sprecht: 'Hilf uns, Du unseres Heiles Gott, und sammle und befreie von den Heiden uns, auf daß wir Deinem heiligen Namen danken und Deines Lobpreises uns rühmen!
And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather us and deliver us, from among the nations, —that we may give thanks unto thy holy name, that we may triumph aloud in thy praise.
36 Gepriesen sei der Herr, Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit!'" - Und alles Volk sprach: "Amen" und einen Lobspruch auf den Herrn.
Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from one age even to another age. Then said all the people, Amen, And gave praise to Yahweh.
37 Dann übergab er dort vor der Bundeslade des Herrn dem Asaph mit seinen Brüdern für immer den Dienst, vor der Lade zu dienen, Tag für Tag nach Vorschrift,
So he left there, before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, Asaph and his brethren, —to be in attendance before the ark continually, for the duty of a day on its day;
38 ferner Obededom mit seinen achtundsechzig Brüdern und Jedituns Sohn, Obededom und Chosa als Torhüter,
and Obed-edom with his brethren, sixty-eight, —and Obed-edom son of Jedithun and Hosah to be doorkeepers;
39 ferner dem Priester Sadok und seinen Brüdern, den Priestern vor des Herrn Wohnung auf der Höhe von Gibeon,
and Zadok the priest, and his brethren the priests, before the habitation of Yahweh, —in the high place that was in Gibeon:
40 dem Herrn auf dem Brandopferaltar regelmäßig jeden Morgen und Abend Brandopfer darzubringen, eben alles, was in der Lehre des Herrn, die er Israel gebot, geschrieben steht.
to offer ascending-sacrifices unto Yahweh, upon the altar of ascending-sacrifice, —continually, morning and evening, —even according to all that is written in the law of Yahweh, which he commanded concerning Israel;
41 Bei ihnen waren Heman und Jedutun und die übrigen Auserlesenen, die mit Namen genannt sind, um den Herrn zu preisen, daß seine Gnade ewig währe.
and, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest of the chosen ones, who were distinguished by name, —to give thanks unto Yahweh, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness!
42 Bei ihnen waren auch Trompeten und Zimbeln für die Musiker und die Spielgeräte für die Gotteslieder. Jedutuns Söhne waren für die Pforte da.
And, with them, Heman and Jeduthun, [with] the trumpets, and the cymbals, for sounding aloud, and the instruments for the songs of God, —and the sons of Jeduthun, for the gate.
43 Darauf ging das ganze Volk heim, jeder in ein Haus. David aber wandte sich, sein Haus zu segnen.
And all the people departed, every man to his house, —and David went round, to bless his own household.
