1 Chronik 12
1 Dies sind die, die zu David nach Siklag kamen, als er von dem Kissohne Saul verjagt war. Auch sie gehörten zu den Helden, als Helfer im Kampfe,
Now these, are they who came unto David, to Ziklag, he yet being shut up, because of Saul son of Kish, —and, they, were among the heroes, helpers in the war;
2 bogenbewaffnet, geschickt, mit der Rechten und Linken Steine und Pfeile mit dem Bogen zu schleudern. Von den Benjaminiten, Sauls Brüdern,
armed with the bow, using right hand or left with stones, and with arrows in the bow, —of the brethren of Saul, out of Benjamin:
3 der Hauptmann Achiezer und Joas, des Gibeatiters Semaa Söhne, ferner Jeziel und Pelet, Azmavets Söhne, Beraka und der Anatotiter Jehu,
the chief, Ahiezer, and Joash, sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite, and Jeziel and Pelet, sons of Azmaveth, —and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
4 der Gibeoniter Ismaja, ein Held unter den Dreißig und der Dreißig Anführer,
and Ishmaiah, the Gibeonite, a hero among the thirty, and over the thirty, —and Jeremiah and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad, the Gederathite;
5 Jeremia, Jachaziel, Jochanan, der Gederatiter Jozabad,
Eluzai and Jerimoth and Bealiah and Shemariah, and Shephatiah, the Haruphite;
6 Eluzai, Jerimot, Bealja, Semarja, der Chariphiter, Sephatja,
Elkanah and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
7 Elkana, Issia, Azarel, Joezer und Josbam, die Korachiter,
and Joelah and Zebadiah, sons of Jeroham, of Gedor.
8 und Joela und Zebadja, Jerochams Söhne aus Gedor.
And, of the Gadites, there separated themselves unto David, to the stronghold towards the desert, heroes of valour, men of war, for battle, men that could handle shield and spear, —and, faces of lions, were their faces, and, like gazelles upon the mountains, were they, for swiftness:
9 Auch von den Gaditen gingen tapfere Männer zu David auf die Feste in der Wüste, kampfgerüstete Krieger, die Schild und Lanze führten, wie Löwen anzusehen und schnellfüßig wie Gazellen auf den Bergen:
Ezer, the chief, Obadiah, the second, —Eliab, the third;
10 Ezer, der Hauptmann Obadia, der zweite, Eliab, der dritte,
Mashmannah, the fourth, Jeremiah, the fifth;
11 Mismatina, der vierte, Jerema, der fünfte,
Attai, the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
12 Attai, der sechste, Eliel, der siebte,
Johanan, the eighth, Elzabad, the ninth;
13 Isanan, der achte, Elzabad, der neunte,
Jeremiah, the tenth, Machbannai, the eleventh.
14 Jeremia, der zehnte, Makbannai, der elfte.
These, were of the sons of Gad, chiefs of the host, —one to a hundred, the least, and, the greatest, to a thousand.
15 Diese sind aus Gads Söhnen die Heerführer. Der geringste nahm es mit hundert und der größte mit tausend auf.
These, are they who passed over the Jordan, in the first month, when, it, was full, over all its banks, —and they put to flight all them of the vales, to the east and to the west.
16 Diese waren es, die den Jordan im ersten Monat überschritten, als er durch alle seine Nebenzuflüsse voll war. Und sie durchzogen alle Täler in Ost und West.
And there came, of the sons of Benjamin, and Judah, as far as the stronghold, unto David.
17 Etliche kamen selbst von Benjamin und Juda zur Feste Davids.
And David went forth to meet them, and responded, and said to them, If, peaceably, ye are come unto me, to help me, I shall have towards you, a heart for unity, —but, if to betray me to mine adversaries, there being no violence in my hands, may the God of our fathers see and rebuke!
18 Da ging David zu ihnen hinaus und sprach sie an: "Kommt ihr zu mir in Frieden, mir beizustehen, dann vereinige ich mich von Herzen mit euch. Kommt ihr aber, mich an meine Feinde zu verraten, obschon kein Unrecht an meinen Händen klebt, so sehe unserer Väter Gott darein und räche es!"
Then, the spirit, clothed Amasai, chief of the thirty, Thine, O David, Yea, with, thee, O son of Jesse! Prosperity, prosperity to thee, And prosperity to thy helpers, For thy God, hath helped thee: So David accepted them, and set them among the chiefs of the band.
19 Da hatte ein Geist den Obersten der Drei eingehüllt, Amasai. Er sprach: "Dir, David, und deinem Volke, Isaisohn, sei Heil! Dir sei Heil und deinen Helfern! Denn dein Gott hilft dir." Da nahm sie David auf und machte sie zu Hauptleuten der Kriegerschar.
And, of Manasseh, there fell away unto David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not, —for the lords of the Philistines advisedly sent him away, saying, At the price of our heads, he might fall away to his master, Saul.
20 Auch von Manasse gingen etliche zu David über, als er mit den Philistern gegen Saul in den Kampf zog. Aber diesen half er nicht. Denn die Philisterfürsten hatten ihn absichtlich fortgeschickt; sie sagten: "Er kann mit unseren Köpfen zu seinem Herrn Saul übergehen."
When he went into Ziklag, there fell away unto him, of Manasseh, Adnah and Jozabad, and Jediael and Michael and Jozabad, and Elihu and Zillethai, —chiefs of the thousands that pertained to Manasseh;
21 Als er nach Siklag zog, gingen von Manasse zu ihm über: Adnach, Jozabad, Jediael, Mikael, Jozabad, Elihu und Silletai, die Häupter der Tausend Manasses.
and, they, helped with David, against the [marauding] band, for, heroes of valour, were they all, —and they became captains in the host;
22 Diese halfen David bei der Kampfstellung. Denn sie waren alle tapfere Männer. Sie wurden auch Anführer im Heere.
for, from day to day, there came unto David, to help him, —until it was a great camp, like a camp of God.
23 Denn Tag für Tag kamen Leute zu David, ihm zu helfen, bis das Heer groß geworden war wie ein Gottesheer.
And, these, are the numbers of the chiefs armed for war, they came unto David, to Hebron, —to turn round the kingdom of Saul unto him, according to the bidding of Yahweh:
24 Dies ist die Zahl des Heerbannes, der zu David nach Hebron kam, um ihm Sauls Königtum nach des Herrn Befehl zu übertragen:
Sons of Judah, bearers of shield and spear, six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
25 Judas Söhne, die Schild und Lanze trugen, 6.800 zum Kriegszug Gerüstete,
Of sons of Simeon, heroes of valour for the war, seven thousand, and one hundred.
26 von den Simeonsöhnen 7.100 tapfere Kriegsleute,
Of the sons of Levi, four thousand, and six hundred.
27 Von den Levisöhnen 4.600
And Jehoiada, was chief ruler for Aaron, —and, with him, three thousand and seven hundred;
28 samt dem Aaronsfürsten Jojada, bei dem 3.700 waren,
and Zadok, a young man, a hero of valour, —and the house of his father, captains twenty and two.
29 und samt Sadok, einem tapferen Jüngling, dessen Familie zweiundzwanzig Anführer stellte.
And, of the sons of Benjamin, brethren of Saul, three thousand, —and, hitherto, the greater part of them, had been keeping the charge of the house of Saul.
30 Von den Söhnen Benjamins, Sauls Brüdern, 3.000. Bis dahin hatte die Mehrzahl von ihnen den Wachdienst für Sauls Haus gestellt.
And, of the sons of Ephraim, twenty thousand, and eight hundred, —heroes of valour, men of renown, to their ancestral house.
31 Von den Söhnen Ephraims 20.800 tapfere, in ihren Familien hochangesehene Männer.
And, of the half tribe of Manasseh, eighteen thousand, who were distinguished by name, coming in to make David king.
32 Vom Halbstamme Manasse 18.000, die namentlich bezeichnet waren, hinzugeben und David zum König zu machen.
And, of the sons of Issachar, such as were of good understanding of the times, to know what Israel, should do, their chiefs, were two hundred, and, all their brethren, were at their bidding.
33 Von den Söhnen Issakars, die Einsicht in die Zeitläufte hatten, so daß sie wußten, was Israel tun sollte, 200 Hauptleute, samt allen ihren Brüdern unter ihrem Befehl.
Of Zebulun—such as were ready to go forth in host, expert for battle with all weapons of war, fifty thousand, —and for setting in array, not of two minds!
34 Von Zabulon 50.000 Kriegstüchtige, mit allerlei kriegerischen Waffen ausgestattet; bereit, sich einzuordnen.
And, of Naphtali, a thousand captains, —and, with them, with shield and spear, thirty-seven thousand.
35 Von Naphtali 1.000 Anführer; sie hatten 37.000 Mann mit Schild und Speer bei sich.
And, of the Danite, expert for war, twenty-eight thousand, and six hundred.
36 Von den Daniten 28.600 Kampfgerüstete.
And, of Asher, such as were ready to go forth in host to set in array for battle, forty thousand.
37 Von Asser 40.000 Kriegstüchtige, bereit, Krieg zu führen,
And, from over the Jordan, of the Reubenites and Gadites and half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of weapons of war for battle, a hundred and twenty thousand.
38 und von jenseits des Jordans, von den Rubeniten, den Gaditen und dem Halbstamme Manasse 120.000 mit allerlei Kriegswaffen.
All these, being men of war, expert in setting in battle-array, with a perfect heart, came to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel, —moreover also, all the rest of Israel, were of one heart to make David king.
39 Alle diese Kriegsleute, in Reihen geordnet, kamen einmütig nach Hebron, David zum König über ganz Israel zu machen. Auch das ganze übrige Israel war ungeteilten Herzens dabei, David zum König zu machen.
So they were there, with David, three days, eating and drinking, —for their brethren had made preparation for them.
40 Sie blieben dort bei David drei Tage, aßen und tranken. Denn ihre Brüder hatten für sie zugerichtet. Auch die ihnen nahe wohnten, bis nach Issakar, Zabulon und Naphtali hin, brachten Brot auf Eseln, Kamelen Maultieren und Rindern, Mehlspeisen, Feigen und Rosinenkuchen, Wein, Öl, Rinder und Schafe in Menge; denn Jubel herrschte in Israel.
Moreover also, they who were near of kin unto them, as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, were bringing bread, on asses and on camels and on mules and on oxen, meal-food, cakes of figs and cakes of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep—in abundance, —for there was joy Israel.
