1 Wehe der Widerspenstigen und Befleckten, der bedrückenden Stadt!
Wo! thou citee, terrere to wraththe, and bouyt ayen a culuer.
2 Sie hat auf keine Stimme gehört, keine Zucht angenommen; auf Jehova hat sie nicht vertraut, ihrem Gott sich nicht genaht.
It herde not the vois of the Lord, and resseyuede not techyng, ether chastisyng; it tristenyde not in the Lord, it neiyide not to her God.
3 Ihre Fürsten in ihrer Mitte sind brüllende Löwen; ihre Richter sind Abendwölfe, die nichts für den Morgen übriglassen.
Princes therof in myddil therof weren as liouns rorynge; iugis therof weren wolues, in the euentid thei leften not in to morewe.
4 Ihre Propheten sind Prahler, treulose Männer; ihre Priester entweihen das Heiligtum, tun dem Gesetze Gewalt an.
Profetis therof weren woode, vnfeithful men; prestis therof defouliden hooli thing, thei diden vniustli ayens the lawe.
5 Jehova ist gerecht in ihrer Mitte, er tut kein Unrecht; Morgen für Morgen stellt er sein Recht ans Licht, ohne zu fehlen. Aber der Ungerechte kennt keine Scham.
The Lord iust in the myddil therof, schal not do wickidnesse; erli, erli he schal yyue his dom in liyt, and it schal not be hid; forsothe the wickid puple knew not confusioun.
6 Ich habe Nationen ausgerottet, ihre Zinnen sind verödet; ich habe ihre Straßen verwüstet, daß niemand darüber zieht; ihre Städte sind verheert, daß niemand da ist, kein Bewohner mehr.

7 Ich sprach: Möchtest du mich nur fürchten, möchtest du Zucht annehmen! Und ihre Wohnung würde nicht ausgerottet werden, alles, was ich über sie verhängt habe. Allein sie haben sich früh aufgemacht, haben alle ihre Handlungen verderbt.

8 Darum harret auf mich, spricht Jehova, auf den Tag, da ich mich aufmache zur Beute! Denn mein Rechtsspruch ist, die Nationen zu versammeln, die Königreiche zusammenzubringen, um meinen Grimm über sie auszugießen, die ganze Glut meines Zornes; denn durch das Feuer meines Eifers wird die ganze Erde verzehrt werden.
Wherfor abide thou me, seith the Lord, in the dai of my rysyng ayen in to comynge. For my doom is, that Y gadere folkis, and Y schal gadere rewmes; and Y schal schede out on hem myn indignacioun, and al wraththe of my strong veniaunce; for in fier of my feruour al erthe schal be deuourid.
9 Denn alsdann werde ich die Lippen der Völker in reine Lippen umwandeln, damit sie alle den Namen Jehovas anrufen und ihm einmütig dienen.
For thanne Y schal yelde to puplis a chosun lippe, that alle clepe inwardli in the name of the Lord, and serue to hym with o schuldre.
10 Von jenseit der Ströme Äthiopiens werden sie meine Flehenden, meine zerstreute Schar, mir als Opfergabe darbringen.
Ouer the floodis of Ethiopie, fro thens my bisecheris, the sones of my scaterid men, schulen brynge yifte to me.
11 An jenem Tage wirst du dich nicht mehr all deiner Handlungen schämen müssen, womit du wider mich übertreten hast; denn alsdann werde ich deine stolz Frohlockenden aus deiner Mitte wegnehmen, und du wirst fortan nicht mehr hoffärtig sein auf meinem heiligen Berge.
In that day thou schalt not be confoundid on alle thi fyndyngis, in whiche thou trespassidist ayens me; for thanne Y schal take awei fro the myddil of thee grete spekeris of thi pride, and thou schalt no more put to, for to be enhaunsid in myn hooli hil.
12 Und ich werde in deiner Mitte ein elendes und armes Volk übriglassen, und sie werden auf den Namen Jehovas vertrauen.
And Y schal leeue in the myddil of thee a pore puple and nedi; and thei schulen hope in the name of the Lord.
13 Der Überrest Israels wird kein Unrecht tun und keine Lüge reden, und in ihrem Munde wird keine Zunge des Truges gefunden werden; denn sie werden weiden und lagern, und niemand wird sie aufschrecken. -
The relifs of Israel schulen not do wickidnesse, nether schulen speke leesyng, and a gileful tunge schal not be foundun in the mouth of hem; for thei schulen be fed, and schulen reste, and ther schal not be that schal make aferd.
14 Jubele, Tochter Zion; jauchze, Israel! Freue dich und frohlocke von ganzem Herzen, Tochter Jerusalem!
These thingis seith the Lord, Douyter of Sion, herie thou hertli, synge thou, Israel; be thou glad, and make thou ioie withoutforth in al thin herte, thou douyter of Jerusalem.
15 Jehova hat deine Gerichte weggenommen, deinen Feind weggefegt; der König Israels, Jehova, ist in deiner Mitte, du wirst kein Unglück mehr sehen.
The Lord hath take a wei thi dom, hath turned a wey thin enemyes; the kyng of Israel the Lord is in myddil of thee, thou schalt no more drede yuel.
16 An jenem Tage wird zu Jerusalem gesagt werden: Fürchte dich nicht! Zion, laß deine Hände nicht erschlaffen!
In that dai it schal be seid, Jerusalem, nyle thou drede; Sion, thin hondis be not clumsid.
17 Jehova, dein Gott, ist in deiner Mitte, ein rettender Held; er freut sich über dich mit Wonne, er schweigt in seiner Liebe, frohlockt über dich mit Jubel.
Thi Lord God is strong in the myddil of thee, he schal saue; he schal make ioie on thee in gladnesse, he schal be stille in thi louyng, he schal make ioie withoutforth on thee in heriyng.
18 Die wegen der Festversammlung Trauernden werde ich sammeln; sie waren aus dir, Schmach lastete auf ihnen.
Y schal gadere the foolis, ether veyn men, that wenten awei fro the lawe, for thei weren of thee, that thou haue no more schenschipe on hem.
19 Siehe, ich werde zu jener Zeit handeln mit allen deinen Bedrückern, und die Hinkenden retten und die Vertriebenen sammeln; und ich werde sie zum Lobe und zum Namen machen in allen Ländern ihrer Schmach.
Lo! Y schal sle alle men that turmentiden thee in that tyme, and Y schal saue him that haltith, and Y schal gadere hir that was cast out; and Y schal putte hem in to heriyng, and in to name in ech lond of confusioun of hem, in that tyme in which Y schal brynge you,
20 In jener Zeit werde ich euch herbeibringen und zu der Zeit euch sammeln; denn ich werde euch zum Namen und zum Lobe machen unter allen Völkern der Erde, wenn ich eure Gefangenschaft vor euren Augen wenden werde, spricht Jehova.
and in the tyme in which Y schal gadre you. For Y schal yyue you in to name, and in to heriyng to alle puplis of erthe, whanne Y schal conuerte youre caitifte bifore youre iyen, seith the Lord.
