Psalm 36

1 Dem Vorsänger. Von dem Knechte Jehovas, von David. Die Übertretung des Gesetzlosen spricht im Innern meines Herzens: Es ist keine Furcht Gottes vor seinen Augen.

`To victorie, to Dauid, `the seruaunt of the Lord. The vniust man seide, that he trespasse in hym silf; the drede of God is not bifor hise iyen.

2 Denn es schmeichelt ihm in seinen eigenen Augen, seine Ungerechtigkeit zu erreichen, Haß auszuüben.

For he dide gilefuli in the siyt of God; that his wickidnesse be foundun to hatrede.

3 Frevel und Trug sind die Worte seines Mundes; er hat es aufgegeben, verständig zu sein, Gutes zu tun.

The wordis of his mouth ben wickidnesse and gile, he nolde vndirstonde to do wel.

4 Frevel ersinnt er auf seinem Lager; er stellt sich auf einen Weg, der nicht gut ist; das Böse verabscheut er nicht.

He thouyte wickidnesse in his bed, he stood nyy al weie not good; forsothe he hatide not malice.

5 Jehova! An die Himmel reicht deine Güte, bis zu den Wolken deine Treue.

Lord, thi merci is in heuene; and thi treuthe is `til to cloudis.

6 Deine Gerechtigkeit ist gleich Bergen Gottes, deine Gerichte sind eine große Tiefe; Menschen und Vieh rettest du, Jehova.

Thi riytfulnesse is as the hillis of God; thi domes ben myche depthe of watris. Lord, thou schalt saue men and beestis;

7 Wie köstlich ist deine Güte, o Gott! Und Menschenkinder nehmen Zuflucht zu deiner Flügel Schatten;

as thou, God, hast multiplied thi merci. But the sones of men; schulen hope in the hilyng of thi wyngis.

8 sie werden reichlich trinken von der Fettigkeit deines Hauses, und mit dem Strome deiner Wonnen wirst du sie tränken.

Thei schulen be fillid gretli of the plentee of thin hows; and thou schalt yyue drynke to hem with the steef streem of thi likyng.

9 Denn bei dir ist der Quell des Lebens, in deinem Lichte werden wir das Licht sehen.

For the wel of life is at thee; and in thi liyt we schulen se liyt.

10 Laß deine Güte fortdauern denen, die dich kennen, und deine Gerechtigkeit den von Herzen Aufrichtigen!

Lord, sette forth thi mercy to hem, that knowen thee; and thi ryytfulnesse to hem that ben of riytful herte.

11 Nicht erreiche mich der Fuß der Hochmütigen, und die Hand der Gesetzlosen vertreibe mich nicht!

The foot of pryde come not to me; and the hond of the synnere moue me not.

12 Da sind gefallen, die Frevel tun; sie wurden niedergestoßen, und vermochten nicht aufzustehen.

There thei felden doun, that worchen wickidnesse; thei ben cast out, and myyten not stonde.
