Josua 23
1 Und es geschah nach vielen Tagen, nachdem Jehova Israel Ruhe geschafft hatte vor allen seinen Feinden ringsum, als Josua alt geworden war, wohlbetagt,
Forsothe whanne myche tyme was passid after that the Lord had youe pees to Israel, for alle naciouns `in cumpas weren suget; and whanne Josue was thanne of long lijf, and `of ful eld age, Josue clepide al Israel,
2 da berief Josua ganz Israel: seine Ältesten und seine Häupter und seine Richter und seine Vorsteher, und sprach zu ihnen: Ich bin alt geworden, wohlbetagt;
and the grettere men in birthe, and the princes, and dukis, and maistris, and seide to hem, Y `wexide elde, and Y am of grettere age;
3 und ihr, ihr habt alles gesehen, was Jehova, euer Gott, allen diesen Nationen euretwegen getan hat. Denn Jehova, euer Gott, er ist es, der für euch gestritten hat.
and ye seen alle thingis whiche youre Lord God hath do to alle naciouns `bi cumpas, hou he fauyt for you.
4 Sehet, ich habe euch diese übrigen Nationen durchs Los als Erbteil zufallen lassen, nach euren Stämmen, vom Jordan an (sowie alle Nationen, die ich ausgerottet habe) bis an das große Meer gegen Sonnenuntergang.
And now for he departide to you bi lot al the lond, fro the eest part of Jordan `til to the grete see, and many naciouns ben left yit,
5 Und Jehova, euer Gott, er selbst wird sie vor euch ausstoßen und sie vor euch austreiben; und ihr werdet ihr Land in Besitz nehmen, so wie Jehova, euer Gott, zu euch geredet hat.
youre Lord God `schal distrie hem, and schal take awei fro youre face; and ye schulen welde the lond, as he bihiyte to you.
6 So haltet denn sehr fest daran, alles zu beobachten und zu tun, was in dem Buche des Gesetzes Moses geschrieben ist, daß ihr nicht davon abweichet zur Rechten noch zur Linken,
Oneli be ye coumfortid, and be ye bisy, that ye kepe alle thingis that ben writun in the book of Moises lawe, and bowe not awei fro tho, nether to the riyt side nether to the left side,
7 daß ihr nicht unter diese Nationen kommet, diese, die bei euch übriggeblieben sind, und den Namen ihrer Götter nicht erwähnet und nicht jemand bei ihm beschwöret, und ihnen nicht dienet und euch nicht vor ihnen niederwerfet!
lest aftir that ye han entrid to the hethene men, that schulen be among you, ye swere in the name of `the goddis of hem, and ye serue tho goddis, and worschipe hem.
8 Sondern Jehova, eurem Gott, sollt ihr anhangen, so wie ihr getan habt bis auf diesen Tag.
But cleue ye to youre Lord God, which thing ye han do `til in to this dai;
9 Und Jehova hat große und starke Nationen vor euch ausgetrieben; und ihr niemand hat vor euch standgehalten bis auf diesen Tag:
and thanne the Lord God schal do awei in youre siyt grete folkis, and strongeste; and noon schal mow ayenstonde you.
10 Ein Mann von euch jagt tausend; denn Jehova, euer Gott, er ist es, der für euch streitet, so wie er zu euch geredet hat.
Oon of you schal pursue a thousynde men of enemyes, for youre Lord God schal fiyte for you, as he bihiyte.
11 So habet wohl acht auf eure Seelen, daß ihr Jehova, euren Gott, liebet!
Be ye war bifore moost diligentli of this thing oneli, that ye loue youre Lord God.
12 Denn wenn ihr euch irgend abwendet und euch an den Rest dieser Nationen hänget, dieser, die bei euch übriggeblieben sind, und ihr euch mit ihnen verschwägert und unter sie kommet, und sie unter euch:
That if ye wolen cleue to the errouris of these folkis that dwellen among you, and wolen medle mariagis with hem, and couple frenschipis,
13 so wisset bestimmt, daß Jehova, euer Gott, nicht fortfahren wird, diese Nationen vor euch auszutreiben; und sie werden euch zur Schlinge werden und zum Fallstrick, und zur Geißel in euren Seiten und zu Dornen in euren Augen, bis ihr umkommet aus diesem guten Lande, das Jehova, euer Gott, euch gegeben hat.
wite ye riyt now, that `youre Lord God schal not do awei hem bifor youre face, but thei schulen be to you in to a dich, and a snare, and in to hirtyng of youre side, and in to stakis in youre iyen, til youre Lord God take awei you, and distrie fro this beste loond, which he yaf to you.
14 Und siehe, ich gehe heute den Weg der ganzen Erde; und ihr wisset mit eurem ganzen Herzen und mit eurer ganzen Seele, daß nicht ein Wort dahingefallen ist von all den guten Worten, die Jehova, euer Gott, über euch geredet hat: sie sind euch alle eingetroffen, nicht ein Wort davon ist dahingefallen.
Lo! Y entre to dai in to the weye of al erthe; and ye schulen knowe `with al soule, that of al wordis whiche the Lord bihiyte hym silf to yyue to you, not oon passide in veyn.
15 Aber es wird geschehen, so wie jedes gute Wort über euch gekommen ist, das Jehova, euer Gott, zu euch geredet hat, also wird Jehova jedes böse Wort über euch kommen lassen, bis er euch aus diesem guten Lande vertilgt hat, das Jehova, euer Gott, euch gegeben hat.
Therfor as he fillide in werk that, that he bihiyte, and alle thingis bifelden `bi prosperite, so he schal brynge on you whateuer thing of yuelis he manaasside, til he take awei you, and distrie fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
16 Wenn ihr den Bund Jehovas, eures Gottes, den er euch geboten hat, übertretet, und hingehet und anderen Göttern dienet und euch vor ihnen niederwerfet, so wird der Zorn Jehovas gegen euch entbrennen, und ihr werdet schnell umkommen aus dem guten Lande, das er euch gegeben hat.
For ye braken the couenaunt of `youre Lord God, which he made with you, and serueden alien goddis, and worschipeden hem, sone and swiftli the strong veniaunce of the Lord schal rise `on to you; and ye schulen be takun awei fro this beste lond, which he yaf to you.
