2 Samuel 21
1 Und es war Hungersnot in den Tagen Davids drei Jahre, Jahr auf Jahr. Und David suchte das Angesicht Jehovas; und Jehova sprach: Es ist wegen Sauls und wegen des Bluthauses, weil er die Gibeoniter getötet hat.
Also hungur was maad in the lond of Israel in the daies of Dauid, bi thre yeer contynueli. And Dauid counselide the answere of the Lord; and the Lord seide, For Saul, and his hows, and blood, for he killide men of Gabaon.
2 Da berief der König die Gibeoniter und redete zu ihnen. (Die Gibeoniter waren aber nicht von den Kindern Israel, sondern von dem Reste der Amoriter; und die Kinder Israel hatten ihnen geschworen; Saul aber suchte sie zu erschlagen, da er für die Kinder Israel und Juda eiferte.)
Therfor whanne Gabaonytis weren clepid, the kyng seide to hem; sotheli Gabaonytis ben not of the sones of Israel, but thei ben the relikys of Ammorreis; and the sones of Israel hadden swore to hem, `that is, that thei schulden not `be slayn, and Saul wolde smyte hem for feruent loue, as for the sones of Israel and of Juda;
3 Und David sprach zu den Gibeonitern: Was soll ich für euch tun, und womit soll ich Sühnung tun, daß ihr das Erbteil Jehovas segnet?
therfor Dauid seide to Gabaonytis, What schal Y do to you, and what schal be youre amendis, that ye blesse the eritage of the Lord?
4 Und die Gibeoniter sprachen zu ihm: Es ist uns nicht um Silber und Gold zu tun betreffs Sauls und betreffs seines Hauses, und es ist uns nicht darum zu tun, jemand in Israel zu töten. Und er sprach: Was ihr saget, will ich für euch tun.
And Gabaonytis seiden to hym, No questioun is to vs on gold and siluer, but ayens Saul, and ayens his hows; nether we wolen, that a man of Israel be slayn. To whiche the kyng seide, What therfor wolen ye, that Y do to you?
5 Da sprachen sie zu dem König: Der Mann, der uns vernichtet hat, und der wider uns sann, daß wir vertilgt würden, um nicht mehr zu bestehen in allen Grenzen Israels: -
Whiche seiden to the king, We owen to do awei so the man, that `al to brak ethir defoulide vs, and oppresside wickidli, that not oon sotheli be residue of his generacioun in alle the coostis of Israel.
6 Man gebe uns sieben Männer von seinen Söhnen, daß wir sie dem Jehova aufhängen zu Gibea Sauls, des Erwählten Jehovas. Und der König sprach: Ich will sie geben.
Seuene men of hise sones be youun to vs, that we `crucifie hem to the Lord in Gabaa of Saul, sum tyme the chosun man of the Lord. And the kyng seide, Y schal yyue.
7 Aber der König verschonte Mephiboseth, den Sohn Jonathans, des Sohnes Sauls, um des Schwures Jehovas willen, der zwischen ihnen war, zwischen David und Jonathan, dem Sohne Sauls.
And the kyng sparide Myphibosech, sone of Jonathas, sone of Saul, for the ooth of the Lord, that was bitwixe Dauid and bitwixe Jonathas, sone of Saul.
8 Und der König nahm die beiden Söhne Rizpas, der Tochter Ajas, die sie dem Saul geboren hatte, Armoni und Mephiboseth, und die fünf Söhne Michals, der Tochter Sauls, die sie dem Adriel geboren hatte, dem Sohne Barsillais, des Meholathiters,
Therfor the kyng took twei sones of Respha, douyter of Ahira, whiche sche childide to Saul, Armony, and Mysphibosech; and he took fyue sones of Mychol, douyter of Saul, whiche sche gendride to Adriel, sone of Berzellai, that was of Molaty.
9 und er gab sie in die Hand der Gibeoniter; und sie hängten sie auf dem Berge vor Jehova auf. Und es fielen die sieben zugleich, und sie wurden getötet in den ersten Tagen der Ernte, im Anfang der Gerstenernte.
And he yaf hem in to the hondis of Gabaonytis, whiche crucifieden tho sones in the hil bifor the Lord; and these seuene felden slayn togidere in the daies of the firste rep, whanne the repyng of barli bigan.
10 Da nahm Rizpa, die Tochter Ajas, Sacktuch, und breitete es sich aus auf dem Felsen, vom Anfang der Ernte an, bis das Wasser vom Himmel über sie troff; und sie ließ das Gevögel des Himmels nicht auf ihnen ruhen bei Tage, noch das Getier des Feldes bei Nacht.
Forsothe Respha, douytir of Ahia, took an heire, and `araiede to hir silf a place aboue the stoon, fro the bigynnyng of heruest til watir droppide `on hem fro heuene; and sche suffride not briddis to tere hem bi dai, nether beestis bi nyyt.
11 Und es wurde David berichtet, was Rizpa, die Tochter Ajas, das Kebsweib Sauls, getan hatte.
And tho thingis whiche Respha, secoundarie wijf of Saul, douytir of Ahia, hadde do, weren teld to Dauid.
12 Da ging David hin und nahm von den Bürgern von Jabes-Gilead die Gebeine Sauls und die Gebeine seines Sohnes Jonathan, welche sie von dem Marktplatze zu Beth-Schan heimlich weggenommen, wo die Philister sie aufgehängt hatten an dem Tage, da die Philister Saul schlugen auf dem Gilboa.
And Dauid yede, and took the boonys of Saul, and the boonys of Jonathas, his sone, of the men of Jabes of Galaad; that hadden stole tho boonys fro the street of Bethsan, in which street the Filisteis hadden hangid hem, whanne thei hadden slayn Saul in Gelboe.
13 Und er brachte die Gebeine Sauls und die Gebeine seines Sohnes Jonathan von dannen herauf; und man sammelte die Gebeine der Gehängten,
And Dauid bar out fro thennus the boonys of Saul, and the boonys of Jonathas, his sone; and thei gaderiden the boonys of hem that weren crucified, and birieden tho with the boonys of Saul and of Jonathas, his sone, in the lond of Beniamyn, in the side of the sepulcre of Cys, fadir of Saul.
14 und begrub sie bei den Gebeinen Sauls und Jonathans, seines Sohnes, im Lande Benjamin, zu Zela, im Begräbnis seines Vaters Kis; und man tat alles, was der König geboten hatte. Und danach ließ Gott sich für das Land erbitten.
And thei diden al thingis, what euer thingis the kyng comaundide; and the Lord dide mercy to the lond aftir these thingis.
15 Und wiederum entstand ein Streit der Philister mit Israel. Und David zog hinab, und seine Knechte mit ihm, und sie stritten mit den Philistern.
Forsothe batel of Filisteis was maad eft ayens Israel; and Dauid yede doun, and hise seruauntis with hym, and fouyten ayen Filisteis.
16 Und David war ermattet; und Jischbi-Benob, der von den Söhnen des Rapha war (das Gewicht seiner Lanzenspitze war dreihundert Sekel Erz an Gewicht, und er war neu gerüstet), gedachte David zu erschlagen.
Sotheli whanne Dauid failide, Jesbydenob, that was of the kyn of Arapha, that is, of giauntis, and the yrun of his spere peiside thre hundrid ouncis, and he was gird with a newe swerd, enforside to smyte Dauid.
17 Aber Abisai, der Sohn der Zeruja, kam ihm zu Hilfe und schlug den Philister und tötete ihn. Damals schwuren die Männer Davids ihm zu und sprachen: Du sollst nicht mehr mit uns ausziehen zum Streit, daß du die Leuchte Israels nicht auslöschest!
And Abisai, sone of Saruye, was in help to Dauid; and he smoot and killide the Filistei. Than the men of Dauid sworen, and seiden, Now thou schalt not go out with vs in to batel, lest thou quenche the lanterne of Israel.
18 Und es geschah hernach, da begann wiederum der Streit mit den Philistern, zu Gob. Damals erschlug Sibbekai, der Huschathiter, den Saph, der von den Söhnen des Rapha war.
Also the secounde batel was in Gob ayens Filisteis; thanne Sobothai of Osothai smoot Zephi, of the generacioun of Arapha, of the kyn of giauntis.
19 Und wiederum begann der Streit mit den Philistern, zu Gob. Und Elchanan, der Sohn Jaare-Orgims, der Bethlehemiter, erschlug Goliath, den Gathiter; und der Schaft seines Speeres war wie ein Weberbaum.
Also the thridde batel was in Gob ayens Filisteis; in which batel a man youun of God, the sone of forest, a broiderer, a man of Bethleem, smoot Golyath of Geth, whos `schaft of spere was as a beem of webbis.
20 Und wiederum entstand ein Streit zu Gath. Da war ein Mann von großer Länge, und er hatte je sechs Finger an seinen Händen und je sechs Zehen an seinen Füßen, vierundzwanzig an der Zahl; und auch er war dem Rapha geboren worden.
The fourthe batel was in Geth; where ynne was an hiy man, that hadde sixe fyngris in the hondis and feet, that is, foure and twenti; and he was of the kyn of Arapha;
21 Und er höhnte Israel; und Jonathan, der Sohn Schimeas, des Bruders Davids, erschlug ihn.
and he blasfemyde Israel; sotheli Jonathan, sone of Samaa, brother of Dauid, killide hym.
22 Diese vier wurden dem Rapha zu Gath geboren; und sie fielen durch die Hand Davids und durch die Hand seiner Knechte.
These foure weren borun of Arapha in Geth, and thei felden doun in the hond of Dauid, and of hise seruauntis.
