2 Samuel 14
1 Und Joab, der Sohn der Zeruja, merkte, daß das Herz des Königs nach Absalom stand.
Forsothe Joab, the sone of Saruye, vndirstood, that the herte of the kyng was turned to Absolon;
2 Da sandte Joab nach Tekoa und ließ von dannen ein kluges Weib holen; und er sprach zu ihr: Stelle dich doch trauernd und ziehe Trauerkleider an und salbe dich nicht mit Öl, und sei wie ein Weib, das schon viele Tage über einen Toten trauert;
and he sente to Thecua, and took fro thennus a wise womman, and he seide to hir, Feyne thee to morene, and be thou clothid with clooth of duyl, and be thou anoyntid with oile, that thou be as a womman by morenynge `now in ful myche tyme a deed man.
3 und gehe zum König hinein und rede zu ihm nach diesem Worte. Und Joab legte ihr die Worte in den Mund.
And thou schalt entre to the kyng, and thou schalt speke to hym siche wordis. Sotheli Joab puttide the wordis in hir mouth.
4 Und das tekoitische Weib sprach zu dem König; und sie fiel auf ihr Antlitz zur Erde und beugte sich nieder und sprach: Hilf, o König!
Therfor whanne the womman of Thecua hadde entrid to the kyng, sche felde bifor hym on the erthe, and worschipide, and seide, A! kyng, kepe me.
5 Und der König sprach zu ihr: Was ist dir? Und sie sprach: Fürwahr, ich bin eine Witwe, und mein Mann ist gestorben.
And the kyng seide to hir, What hast thou of cause? And sche answeride, Alas! Y am a womman widewe, for myn hosebonde is deed;
6 Und deine Magd hatte zwei Söhne, und sie zankten sich beide auf dem Felde, und niemand war da, der rettend dazwischentrat; und der eine schlug den anderen und tötete ihn.
and tweyne sones weren of thin handmayde, whiche debatiden ayens hem silf in the feeld, and `noon was that myyte forbede hem, and oon smoot `the tother, and killide hym.
7 Und siehe, das ganze Geschlecht ist wider deine Magd aufgestanden, und sie sprechen: Gib den heraus, der seinen Bruder erschlagen hat, daß wir ihn töten für die Seele seines Bruders, den er ermordet hat, und auch den Erben vertilgen! Und so wollen sie meine Kohle auslöschen, die mir übriggeblieben ist, um meinem Manne weder Namen noch Überrest auf dem Erdboden zu lassen.
And lo! al the kynrede risith ayens thin handmayde, and seith, Yyue thou hym that killide his brothir, that we sle hym for the lijf of his brother whom he killide, and that we do awei the eir; and thei seken to quenche my sparcle whych is lefte, that name dwelle not to myn hosebonde, and relikis, `ethir remenauntis, be not to him on erthe.
8 Da sprach der König zu dem Weibe: Gehe nach deinem Hause, und ich werde deinethalben gebieten.
And the kyng seide to the womman, Go in to thin hows, and Y schal comaunde for thee.
9 Und das tekoitische Weib sprach zu dem König: Auf mir, mein Herr König, und auf dem Hause meines Vaters sei die Ungerechtigkeit; der König aber und sein Thron seien schuldlos!
And the womman of Thecua seide to the kyng, My lord the kyng, this wickidnesse be on me, and on the hows of my fadir; forsothe the kyng and his trone be innocent.
10 Und der König sprach: Wer wider dich redet, den bringe zu mir, und er soll dich fortan nicht mehr antasten.
And the kyng seide, Brynge thou hym to me, that ayenseith thee, and he schal no more adde that he touche thee.
11 Und sie sprach: Der König gedenke doch Jehovas, deines Gottes, damit der Bluträcher nicht noch mehr Verderben anrichte, und sie meinen Sohn nicht vertilgen! Und er sprach: So wahr Jehova lebt, wenn von den Haaren deines Sohnes eines auf die Erde fällt!
And sche seide, The kyng haue mynde on his Lord God, and the nexte men of blood to take veniaunce be not multiplied, and `thei schulen not sle my sone. And the kyng seide, The Lord lyueth, for noon of the heeris of thi sone schal falle on the erthe.
12 Und das Weib sprach: Laß doch deine Magd ein Wort zu meinem Herrn, dem König, reden!
Therfor the womman seide, Thin handmayde speke a word to my lord the kyng. And the kyng seide, Speke thou.
13 Und er sprach: Rede! Da sprach das Weib: Und warum hast du dergleichen wider Gottes Volk im Sinne? Denn da der König dieses Wort geredet hat, ist er wie schuldig, indem der König seinen Verstoßenen nicht zurückholen läßt.
And the womman seide, Whi `thouytist thou sich a thing ayens the puple of God? and the kyng spak this word, that he do synne, and brynge not ayen his sone cast out?
14 Denn wir müssen gewißlich sterben und sind wie Wasser, das auf die Erde geschüttet ist, welches man nicht wieder sammeln kann; und Gott nimmt nicht das Leben weg, sondern er sinnt darauf, daß der Verstoßene nicht von ihm weg verstoßen bleibe.
Alle we dyen, and as watris that schulen not turne ayen, we sliden in to erthe; and God nyl that a soule perische, but he withdrawith, and thenkith lest he perische outirly, which is cast awey.
15 Und nun, daß ich gekommen bin, um dieses Wort zu dem König, meinem Herrn, zu reden, ist, weil das Volk mich in Furcht gesetzt hat. Da dachte deine Magd: Ich will doch zu dem König reden, vielleicht wird der König das Wort seiner Magd tun;
Now therfor come thou, that Y speke to my lord the kyng this word, while the puple is present; and thin handmaide seide, Y schal speke to the kyng, if in ony maner the kyng do the word of his handmayde.
16 denn der König wird erhören, um seine Magd aus der Hand des Mannes zu erretten, der mich und meinen Sohn zusammen aus dem Erbteil Gottes vertilgen will.
And the kyng herde the wordis, that he schulde delyuere his handmayde fro the hondis of alle men, that wolden do awei me, and my sone to gidere, fro the eritage of the Lord.
17 Und deine Magd dachte: Das Wort meines Herrn, des Königs, möge doch zur Beruhigung sein; denn wie ein Engel Gottes, also ist mein Herr, der König, um das Gute und das Böse anzuhören; und Jehova, dein Gott, sei mit dir!
Therfor thin hand mayde seie, that the word of my lord the kyng be maad as sacrifice, `that is, that the sentence youun of hym be plesaunt to God, as sacrifice plesith God; for as an aungel of the Lord, so is my lord the kyng, that he be not mouyd bi blessyng nether bi cursyng. Wherfor and thi Lord God is with thee.
18 Da antwortete der König und sprach zu dem Weibe: Verhehle mir doch ja nichts, wonach ich dich fragen will! Und das Weib sprach: Es wolle doch mein Herr, der König, reden!
And the kyng answeride, and seide to the womman, Hide thou not fro me the word which Y axe thee. And the womman seide to hym, Speke thou, my lord the kyng.
19 Und der König sprach: Ist die Hand Joabs mit dir in diesem allem? Und das Weib antwortete und sprach: So wahr deine Seele lebt, mein Herr König, wenn zur Rechten oder zur Linken zu weichen ist von allem, was mein Herr, der König, redet! Denn dein Knecht Joab, er hat es mir geboten, und er hat deiner Magd alle diese Worte in den Mund gelegt.
And the kyng seide, Whether the hond of Joab is with thee in alle these thingis? The womman answeride, and seide, Bi the helthe of thi soule, my lord the kyng, nether to the left side nether to the riyt side is ony thing of alle these thingis, whiche my lord the kyng spak. For thi seruaunt Joab hym silf comaundide to me, and he puttide alle these wordis in to the mouth of thin handmaide,
20 Um das Ansehen der Sache zu wenden, hat dein Knecht Joab dieses getan; aber mein Herr ist weise, gleich der Weisheit eines Engels Gottes, daß er alles weiß, was auf Erden vorgeht.
that Y schulde turne the figure of this word; for thi seruaunt Joab comaundide this thing. Forsothe thou, my lord the kyng, art wijs, as an aungel of God hath wisdom, that thou vnderstonde alle thingis on erthe.
21 Und der König sprach zu Joab: Siehe doch, ich habe dieses getan; so gehe hin, hole den Jüngling, den Absalom, zurück.
And the kyng seide to Joab, Lo! Y am plesid, and Y haue do thi word; therfor go thou, and ayen clepe thou the child Absolon.
22 Da fiel Joab auf sein Angesicht zur Erde und beugte sich nieder und segnete den König; und Joab sprach: Heute weiß dein Knecht, daß ich Gnade gefunden habe in deinen Augen, mein Herr König, da der König das Wort seines Knechtes getan hat.
And Joab felde on his face to erthe, and worschipide, and blesside the kyng; and Joab seide, Thi seruaunt hath vndirstonde to dai, that Y foond grace in thin iyen, my lord the kyng, for thou hast do the word of thi seruaunt.
23 Und Joab machte sich auf und ging nach Gesur, und er brachte Absalom nach Jerusalem.
Therfor Joab roos, and yede in to Gessur, and brouyte Absolon in to Jerusalem.
24 Aber der König sprach: Er soll sich nach seinem Hause wenden und mein Angesicht nicht sehen. Und Absalom wandte sich nach seinem Hause und sah das Angesicht des Königs nicht.
Forsothe the kyng seide, Turne he ayen in to his hows, and se not he my face.
25 Und in ganz Israel war kein Mann wegen seiner Schönheit so sehr zu preisen wie Absalom; von seiner Fußsohle bis zu seinem Scheitel war kein Fehl an ihm.
Therfor Absolon turnede ayen in to his hows, and siy not the face of the kyng. Sotheli no man in al Israel was so fair as Absolon, and ful comeli; fro the step of the foot `til to the top, `no wem was in hym;
26 Und wenn er sein Haupt scheren ließ es geschah nämlich von Jahr zu Jahr, daß er es scheren ließ, denn es war ihm zu schwer, und so ließ er es scheren so wog sein Haupthaar zweihundert Sekel, nach dem Gewicht des Königs.
and in as myche as `he clippide more the heeris, bi so myche thei wexiden more; forsothe he was clippid onys in the yeer, for the heer greuede him. And whanne he clippide the heeris, he weiyide `the heeris of his heed bi twei hundrid siclis with comyn weiyte.
27 Und dem Absalom wurden drei Söhne geboren und eine Tochter, ihr Name war Tamar; sie war ein Weib, schön von Ansehen.
Forsothe thre sones, and a douyter, Thamar bi name, of `excellent forme weren borun to Absolon.
28 Und Absalom wohnte zu Jerusalem zwei volle Jahre; und er sah das Angesicht des Königs nicht.
And Absolon dwellide in Jerusalem twei yeer, and he siy not the face of the kyng.
29 Da sandte Absalom zu Joab, um ihn zu dem König zu senden; aber er wollte nicht zu ihm kommen. Und er sandte wiederum zum zweiten Mal, aber er wollte nicht kommen.
Therfor he sente to Joab, that he schulde sende hym to the kyng; which Joab nolde come to hym. And whanne he hadde sent the secounde tyme, and Joab nolde come,
30 Da sprach er zu seinen Knechten: Sehet, das Ackerstück Joabs ist an meiner Seite, und er hat daselbst Gerste; gehet hin und zündet es mit Feuer an! Und die Knechte Absaloms zündeten das Ackerstück mit Feuer an.
Absolon seide to hise seruauntis, Ye knowen the feeld of Joab bisidis my feeld hauynge ripe barli; therfor go ye, and brenne ye it with fier. Therfor the seruauntis of Absolon brenten the corn with fier. And the seruauntis of Joab camen with her clothis to-rent, and seiden, The seruauntis
31 Da machte Joab sich auf und kam zu Absalom ins Haus, und sprach zu ihm: Warum haben deine Knechte mein Ackerstück mit Feuer angezündet?
of Absolon han brent the part of feeld bi fier. And Joab roos, and cam to Absolon in to his hows, and seide, Whi
32 Und Absalom sprach zu Joab: Siehe, ich habe zu dir gesandt und dir sagen lassen: Komm her, daß ich dich zu dem König sende, um ihm zu sagen: Warum bin ich von Gesur gekommen? Besser wäre mir, ich wäre noch dort. Und nun möchte ich das Angesicht des Königs sehen; und wenn eine Ungerechtigkeit an mir ist, so töte er mich!

And Absolon answeride to Joab, Y sente to thee, and bisouyte that thou schuldist come to me, and that Y schulde sende thee to the kyng, that thou schuldist seie to hym, Whi cam Y fro Gessur? It was betere to me to be there; therfor Y biseche, that Y se the face of the kyng, that if he is myndeful of my wickidnesse, sle he me.
33 Da begab sich Joab zu dem König und berichtete es ihm. Und er rief Absalom; und er kam zu dem König und warf sich auf sein Antlitz zur Erde nieder vor dem König, und der König küßte Absalom.
Joab entride to the kyng, and telde to hym. And Absolon was clepid, and entryde to the kyng, and worschipide on the face of erthe bifor hym, and the kyng kisside Absolon.
