Lukas 6
1 Und es geschah am zweitersten Sabbath, daß er durch die Saaten ging, und seine Jünger die Ähren abpflückten und aßen, indem sie sie mit den Händen zerrieben.
Now it came about that on the Sabbath he was going through the fields of grain, and his disciples took the heads of the grain for food, crushing them in their hands.
2 Einige der Pharisäer aber sprachen zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr, was nicht erlaubt ist, am Sabbath zu tun?
But some of the Pharisees said, Why do you do what it is not right to do on the Sabbath?
3 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr auch dieses nicht gelesen, was David tat, als ihn und die bei ihm waren hungerte?
And Jesus said, Have you not seen in the Writings what David did when he was in need of food, he, and those who were with him;
4 wie er in das Haus Gottes ging und die Schaubrote nahm und aß, und auch denen gab, die bei ihm waren, welche niemand essen darf, als nur die Priester allein?
How he went into the house of God and took for food the holy bread, which only the priests may take, and gave it to those who were with him?
5 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Der Sohn des Menschen ist Herr auch des Sabbaths.
And he said, The Son of man is lord even of the Sabbath.
6 Es geschah aber auch an einem anderen Sabbath, daß er in die Synagoge ging und lehrte; und es war daselbst ein Mensch, dessen rechte Hand verdorrt war.
And it came about, on another Sabbath, that he went into the Synagogue and was teaching there. And a man was there whose right hand was dead.
7 Die Schriftgelehrten und die Pharisäer aber lauerten darauf, ob er am Sabbath heilen würde, auf daß sie eine Beschuldigung wider ihn fänden.
And the scribes and Pharisees were watching him to see if he would make him well on the Sabbath, so that they might be able to say something against him.
8 Er aber wußte ihre Überlegungen und sprach zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Stehe auf und stelle dich in die Mitte. Er aber stand auf und stellte sich hin. [O. stand da]
But he had knowledge of their thoughts; and he said to the man whose hand was dead, Get up and come into the middle. And he got up and came forward.
9 Jesus sprach nun zu ihnen: Ich will euch fragen, ob es erlaubt ist, am Sabbath Gutes zu tun oder Böses zu tun, das [O. ein] Leben zu retten oder zu verderben.
And Jesus said, I put the question to you, Is it right to do good on the Sabbath or to do evil? to give life or to take it away?
10 Und nachdem er sie alle umher angeblickt hatte, sprach er zu ihm: Strecke deine Hand aus! Und er tat also; und seine Hand wurde wiederhergestellt, wie die andere.
And looking round on all of them, he said to him, Put out your hand. And he did so: and his hand was made well.
11 Sie aber wurden mit Unverstand erfüllt und besprachen sich untereinander, was sie Jesu tun sollten.
But they were full of wrath, and were talking together about what they might do to Jesus.
12 Und es geschah in selbigen Tagen, daß er auf den Berg hinausging, um zu beten; und er verharrte die Nacht im Gebet zu Gott.
And it came about in those days that he went out to the mountain for prayer; and he was all night in prayer to God.
13 Und als es Tag wurde, rief er seine Jünger herzu und erwählte aus ihnen zwölf, die er auch Apostel nannte:
And the day came and, turning to his disciples, he made a selection from among them of twelve, to whom he gave the name of Apostles;
14 Simon, den er auch Petrus nannte, und Andreas, seinen Bruder, und Jakobus und Johannes, und Philippus und Bartholomäus,
Simon, to whom he gave the name of Peter, and Andrew, his brother, and James and John and Philip and Bartholomew
15 und Matthäus und Thomas, und Jakobus, Alphäus Sohn, und Simon, genannt Zelotes, [Eiferer]
And Matthew and Thomas and James, the son of Alphaeus, and Simon, who was named the Zealot,
16 und Judas, Jakobus Bruder, [And.: Sohn] und Judas Iskariot, der auch sein Verräter wurde.
And Judas, the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, he who was false to him.
17 Und als er mit ihnen herabgestiegen war, stand er auf einem ebenen Platze, und eine Menge seiner Jünger und eine große Menge des Volkes von ganz Judäa und Jerusalem und von der Seeküste von Tyrus und Sidon, welche kamen, ihn zu hören und von ihren Krankheiten geheilt zu werden;
And he came down with them to a level place, and a great band of his disciples, and a very great number of people from all Judaea and Jerusalem and from the parts of Tyre and Sidon by the sea, came to give hearing to him, and to be made well from their diseases;
18 und die von unreinen Geistern Geplagten wurden geheilt.
And those who were troubled with unclean spirits were made well.
19 Und die ganze Volksmenge suchte ihn anzurühren, denn es ging Kraft von ihm aus und heilte alle.
And all the people were desiring to be touched by him, for power came from him and made them all well.
20 Und er hob seine Augen auf zu seinen Jüngern und sprach: Glückselig ihr Armen, denn euer ist das Reich Gottes.
And turning his eyes to his disciples he said, Happy are you who are poor: for the kingdom of God is yours.
21 Glückselig, die ihr jetzt hungert, denn ihr werdet gesättigt werden. Glückselig, die ihr jetzt weinet, denn ihr werdet lachen.
Happy are you who are in need of food now: for you will be made full. Happy are you who are weeping now; for you will be glad.
22 Glückselig seid ihr, wenn die Menschen euch hassen werden, und wenn sie euch absondern und schmähen und euren Namen als böse verwerfen werden um des Sohnes des Menschen willen;
Happy are you, when men have hate for you, and put you away from among them and say angry words to you, turning away in disgust at your name, because of the Son of man.
23 freuet euch an selbigem Tage und hüpfet, denn siehe, euer Lohn ist groß in dem Himmel; denn desgleichen taten ihre Väter den Propheten.
Be glad in that day, and be lifted up for joy, for your reward in heaven will be great: for their fathers did these same things to the prophets.
24 Aber wehe euch Reichen, denn ihr habt euren Trost dahin.
But unhappy are you who have wealth: for you have been comforted now.
25 Wehe euch, die ihr voll seid, denn ihr werdet hungern. Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt lachet, denn ihr werdet trauern und weinen.
Unhappy are you who are full of food now: for you will be in need. Unhappy are you who are laughing now: for you will be crying in sorrow.
26 Wehe, wenn alle Menschen wohl von euch reden; denn desgleichen taten ihre Väter den falschen Propheten.
Unhappy are you when all men give you their approval: for so their fathers did to the false prophets.
27 Aber euch sage ich, die ihr höret: Liebet eure Feinde; tut wohl denen, die euch hassen;
But I say to you who give ear to me, Have love for those who are against you, do good to those who have hate for you,
28 segnet, die euch fluchen; betet für die, welche euch beleidigen.
Give blessing to those who give you curses, say prayers for those who are cruel to you.
29 Dem, der dich auf den Backen schlägt, biete auch den anderen dar; und dem, der dir den Mantel nimmt, wehre auch den Leibrock nicht.
If a man gives you a blow on one side of your face, then let the other side be turned to him; from him who takes away your coat, do not keep back your robe.
30 Gib jedem, der dich bittet; und von dem, der dir das Deinige nimmt, fordere es nicht zurück.
Give to everyone who comes with a request, and if a man takes away your property, make no attempt to get it back again.
31 Und wie ihr wollt, daß euch die Menschen tun sollen, tut auch ihr ihnen gleicherweise.
Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32 Und wenn ihr liebet, die euch lieben, was für Dank ist es euch? denn auch die Sünder lieben, die sie lieben.
If you have love for those who have love for you, what credit is it to you? for even sinners have love for those who have love for them.
33 Und wenn ihr denen Gutes tut, die euch Gutes tun, was für Dank ist es euch? denn auch die Sünder tun dasselbe.
And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is it to you? for even sinners do the same.
34 Und wenn ihr denen leihet, von welchen ihr wieder zu empfangen hoffet, was für Dank ist es euch? denn auch die Sünder leihen Sündern, auf daß sie das gleiche wieder empfangen.
And if you let those have the use of your money, from whom you are hoping to get it back, what credit is it to you? even sinners do so to sinners, hoping to get back as much as they gave.
35 Doch liebet eure Feinde, und tut Gutes, und leihet, ohne etwas wieder zu hoffen, und euer Lohn wird groß sein, und ihr werdet Söhne des Höchsten sein; denn er ist gütig gegen die Undankbaren und Bösen.
But be loving to those who are against you and do them good, and give them your money, not giving up hope, and your reward will be great and you will be the sons of the Most High: for he is kind to evil men, and to those who have hard hearts.
36 Seid ihr nun barmherzig, wie auch euer Vater barmherzig ist.
Be full of pity, even as your Father is full of pity.
37 Und richtet nicht, und ihr werdet nicht gerichtet werden; verurteilet nicht, und ihr werdet nicht verurteilt werden. Lasset los, und ihr werdet losgelassen [O. sprechet frei, und ihr werdet freigesprochen] werden.
Be not judges of others, and you will not be judged: do not give punishment to others, and you will not get punishment yourselves: make others free, and you will be made free:
38 Gebet, und es wird euch gegeben werden: ein gutes, gedrücktes und gerütteltes und überlaufendes Maß wird man in euren Schoß geben; denn mit demselben Maße, mit welchem ihr messet, wird euch wieder gemessen werden.
Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, crushed down, full and running over, they will give to you. For in the same measure as you give, it will be given to you again.
39 Er sagte aber auch ein Gleichnis zu ihnen: Kann etwa ein Blinder einen Blinden leiten? werden nicht beide in eine Grube fallen?
And he gave them teaching in the form of a story, saying, Is it possible for one blind man to be guide to another? will they not go falling together into a hole?
40 Ein Jünger ist nicht über den Lehrer; jeder aber, der vollendet ist, wird sein wie sein Lehrer.
The disciple is not greater than his master, but everyone whose learning is complete will be like his master.
41 Was aber siehst du den [O. auf den] Splitter, der in deines Bruders Auge ist, den Balken aber, der in deinem eigenen Auge ist, nimmst du nicht wahr?
And why do you take note of the grain of dust in your brother's eye, but take no note of the bit of wood which is in your eye?
42 Oder wie kannst du zu deinem Bruder sagen: Bruder, erlaube, ich will den Splitter herausziehen, [Eig. hinauswerfen; so auch nachher] der in deinem Auge ist, während du selbst den Balken in deinem Auge nicht siehst? Heuchler, ziehe zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, und dann wirst du klar sehen, um den Splitter herauszuziehen, der in deines Bruders Auge ist.
How will you say to your brother, Brother, let me take the grain of dust out of your eye, when you yourself do not see the bit of wood in your eye? O false one! first take the wood out of your eye and then you will see clearly to take the dust out of your brother's eye.
43 Denn es gibt keinen guten Baum, der faule Frucht bringt, noch einen faulen Baum, der gute Frucht bringt;
For no good tree gives bad fruit, and no bad tree gives good fruit.
44 denn ein jeder Baum wird an seiner eigenen Frucht erkannt; denn von Dornen sammelt man nicht Feigen, noch liest man von einem Dornbusch Trauben. [Eig. eine Traube]
For every tree is judged by its fruit. Men do not get figs from thorns, or grapes from blackberry plants.
45 Der gute Mensch bringt aus dem guten Schatze seines Herzens das Gute hervor, und der Böse bringt aus dem bösen das Böse hervor; denn aus der Fülle des Herzens redet sein Mund.
The good man, out of the good store of his heart, gives good things; and the evil man, out of his evil store, gives evil: for out of the full store of the heart come the words of the mouth.
46 Was heißet ihr mich aber: Herr, Herr! und tut nicht, was ich sage?
Why do you say to me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?
47 Jeder, der zu mir kommt und meine Worte hört und sie tut-ich will euch zeigen, wem er gleich ist.
Everyone who comes to me and gives ear to my words and does them, I will make clear to you what he is like:
48 Er ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus baute, welcher grub und vertiefte und den Grund auf den Felsen legte; als aber eine Flut kam, schlug der Strom an jenes Haus und vermochte es nicht zu erschüttern, denn es war auf den Felsen gegründet.
He is like a man building a house, who went deep and put the base of it on a rock; and when the water came up and the river was driving against that house, it was not moved, because the building was good.
49 Der aber gehört und nicht getan hat, ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus auf die Erde baute ohne Grundlage, an welches der Strom schlug, und alsbald fiel es, und der Sturz jenes Hauses war groß.
But he who gives hearing, without doing, is like a man building a house on the earth without a base for it; and when the force of the river came against it, straight away it came down; and the destruction of that house was great.
