Lukas 24
1 An dem ersten Wochentage aber, ganz in der Frühe, kamen sie zu der Gruft und brachten die Spezereien, die sie bereitet hatten.
But on the first day of the week, at dawn, they came to the place where his body had been put, taking the spices which they had got ready.
2 Sie fanden aber den Stein von der Gruft weggewälzt;
And they saw that the stone had been rolled away.
3 und als sie hineingingen, fanden sie den Leib des Herrn Jesu nicht.
And they went in, but the body of the Lord Jesus was not there.
4 Und es geschah, als sie darüber in Verlegenheit waren, siehe, da standen zwei Männer in strahlenden Kleidern bei ihnen.
And while they were in doubt about it, they saw two men in shining clothing by them:
5 Als sie aber von Furcht erfüllt wurden und das Angesicht zur Erde neigten, sprachen sie zu ihnen: Was suchet ihr den Lebendigen unter den Toten?
And while their faces were bent down to the earth in fear, these said to them, Why are you looking for the living among the dead?
6 Er ist nicht hier, sondern ist auferstanden. Gedenket daran, wie er zu euch geredet hat, als er noch in Galiläa war,
He is not here, he has come back to life: have in mind what he said to you when he was still in Galilee, saying,
7 indem er sagte: Der Sohn des Menschen muß in die Hände sündiger Menschen überliefert und gekreuzigt werden und am dritten Tage auferstehen.
The Son of man will be given up into the hands of evil-doers, and be put to death on the cross, and on the third day he will come back to life.
8 Und sie gedachten an seine Worte;
And his words came back into their minds,
9 und sie kehrten von der Gruft zurück und verkündigten dies alles den Elfen und den übrigen allen.
And they went away from that place and gave an account of all these things to the eleven disciples and all the others.
10 Es waren aber die Maria Magdalene [d. i. von Magdala] und Johanna und Maria, des Jakobus Mutter, und die übrigen mit ihnen, welche dies zu den Aposteln sagten.
Now they were Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary, the mother of James: and the other women with them said these things to the Apostles.
11 Und ihre Reden schienen vor ihnen wie ein Märchen, und sie glaubten ihnen nicht.
But these words seemed foolish to them, and they had no belief in them.
12 Petrus aber stand auf und lief zu der Gruft; und sich hineinbückend, sieht er die leinenen Tücher allein liegen, und er ging weg nach Hause und verwunderte sich über das, was geschehen war.
But Peter got up and went to the place where the body had been put, and looking in he saw nothing but the linen cloths, and he went to his house full of wonder at what had taken place.
13 Und siehe, zwei von ihnen gingen an selbigem Tage nach einem Dorfe, mit Namen Emmaus, sechzig Stadien [etwa zweieinhalb Wegstunden] von Jerusalem entfernt.
And then, two of them, on that very day, were going to a little town named Emmaus, which was about seven miles from Jerusalem.
14 Und sie unterhielten sich miteinander über alles dieses, was sich zugetragen hatte.
And they were talking together about all those things which had taken place.
15 Und es geschah, indem sie sich unterhielten und miteinander überlegten, [O. verhandelten] daß Jesus selbst nahte und mit ihnen ging;
And while they were talking and questioning together, Jesus himself came near and went with them.
16 aber ihre Augen wurden gehalten, damit sie ihn nicht erkennten. [O. so daß sie ihn nicht erkannten]
But their eyes were not open that they might have knowledge of him.
17 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Was sind das für Reden, die ihr wandelnd miteinander wechselt, und seid niedergeschlagen?
And he said to them, What are you talking about together while you go?
18 Einer aber, mit Namen Kleopas, antwortete und sprach zu ihm: Bist du der einzige, der in Jerusalem weilt [O. sich als Fremdling aufhält] und nicht weiß, [W. Du allein weilst in Jerusalem und weißt nicht] was in ihr geschehen ist in diesen Tagen?
Then stopping, and looking sadly at him, one of them, named Cleopas, said to him, Are you the only man living in Jerusalem who has not had news of the things which have taken place there at this time?
19 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was denn? Sie aber sprachen zu ihm: Das von Jesus, dem Nazaräer, der ein Prophet war, mächtig im Werk und Wort vor Gott und dem ganzen Volke;
And he said to them, What things? And they said, The things to do with Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, great in his acts and his words, before God and all the people:
20 und wie ihn die Hohenpriester und unsere Obersten überlieferten, um zum Tode verurteilt zu werden, und ihn kreuzigten.
And how the chief priests and our rulers gave him up to be put to death on the cross.
21 Wir aber hofften, daß er der sei, der Israel erlösen solle. Doch auch bei alledem ist es heute der dritte Tag, [And. üb.: bei alledem bringt er [Jesus] nun den dritten Tag zu] seitdem dies geschehen ist.
But we were hoping that he would be the Saviour of Israel. In addition to all this he has now let three days go by from the time when these things took place;
22 Aber auch etliche Weiber von uns haben uns außer uns gebracht, die am frühen Morgen bei der Gruft gewesen sind,
And certain women among us gave us cause for wonder, for they went early to the place where his body had been put,
23 und, als sie seinen Leib nicht fanden, kamen und sagten, daß sie auch ein Gesicht von Engeln gesehen hätten, welche sagen, daß er lebe.
And it was not there; then they came saying that they had seen a vision of angels who said that he was living.
24 Und etliche von denen, die mit uns sind, gingen zu der Gruft und fanden es so, wie auch die Weiber gesagt hatten; ihn aber sahen sie nicht.
And some of those who were with us went to the place, and saw that it was as the women had said, but him they did not see.
25 Und er sprach zu ihnen: O ihr Unverständigen und trägen Herzens, zu glauben an alles, was die Propheten geredet haben!
And he said, O foolish men! how slow you are to give belief to what the prophets have said.
26 Mußte nicht der Christus dies leiden und in seine Herrlichkeit eingehen?
Was it not necessary for the Christ to go through these things, and to come into his glory?
27 Und von Moses und von allen Propheten anfangend, erklärte er ihnen in allen Schriften das, was ihn betraf.
And he made clear to them all the things in the Writings, from Moses and from all the prophets, which had to do with himself.
28 Und sie nahten dem Dorfe, wohin sie gingen; und er stellte sich, als wolle er weitergehen.
And they came near the town to which they were going, and he seemed as if he was going on;
29 Und sie nötigten ihn und sagten: Bleibe bei uns, denn es ist gegen Abend, und der Tag hat sich schon geneigt. Und er ging hinein, um bei ihnen zu bleiben.
But they kept him back, saying, Do not go, for evening is near, the day is almost gone. And he went in with them.
30 Und es geschah, als er mit ihnen zu Tische lag, nahm er das Brot und segnete es; [O. lobpries und dankte] und als er es gebrochen hatte, reichte er es ihnen.
And when he was seated with them at table, he took the bread, and said words of blessing and, making division of it, he gave it to them.
31 Ihre Augen aber wurden aufgetan, und sie erkannten ihn; und er wurde ihnen unsichtbar. [O. er verschwand vor ihnen]
And then their eyes were open, and they had knowledge of him, but he went from their view.
32 Und sie sprachen zueinander: Brannte nicht unser Herz in uns, als er auf dem Wege zu uns redete, und als er uns die Schriften öffnete?
And they said to one another, Were not our hearts burning in us while he was talking to us on the way, making clear to us the holy Writings?
33 Und sie standen zur selbigen Stunde auf und kehrten nach Jerusalem zurück. Und sie fanden die Elfe und die mit ihnen waren versammelt,
And that very hour they got up and went back to Jerusalem, where the eleven and the others had come together.
34 welche sagten: Der Herr ist wirklich auferweckt worden und dem Simon erschienen.
And they said to them, The Lord has truly come back to life again, and Simon has seen him.
35 Und sie erzählten, was auf dem Wege geschehen war, und wie er von ihnen erkannt worden war an dem Brechen des Brotes.
And they gave an account of the things which had taken place on the way, and how, when he gave them bread, they had knowledge of him.
36 Während sie aber dieses redeten, stand er selbst in ihrer Mitte und spricht zu ihnen: Friede euch!
And while they were saying these things, he himself was among them, and said to them, Peace be with you!
37 Sie aber erschraken und wurden von Furcht erfüllt und meinten, sie sähen einen Geist.
But they were full of fear, being of the opinion that they were seeing a spirit.
38 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Was seid ihr bestürzt, und warum steigen Gedanken auf in euren Herzen?
And he said to them, Why are you troubled, and why are your hearts full of doubt?
39 Sehet meine Hände und meine Füße, daß ich es selbst bin; betastet mich und sehet, denn ein Geist hat nicht Fleisch und Bein, wie ihr sehet, daß ich habe.
See; my hands and my feet: it is I myself; put your hands on me and make certain; for a spirit has not flesh and bones as you see that I have.
40 Und als er dies gesagt hatte, zeigte er ihnen die Hände und die Füße.
And when he had said this, he let them see his hands and his feet.
41 Als sie aber noch nicht glaubten vor Freude und sich verwunderten, sprach er zu ihnen: Habt ihr hier etwas zu essen?
And because, for joy and wonder, they were still in doubt, he said to them, Have you any food here?
42 Sie aber reichten ihm ein Stück gebratenen Fisch und von einer Honigscheibe;
And they gave him a bit of cooked fish.
43 und er nahm und aß vor ihnen.
And before their eyes he took a meal.
44 Er sprach aber zu ihnen: Dies sind die Worte, die ich zu euch redete, als ich noch bei euch war, daß alles erfüllt werden muß, was über mich geschrieben steht in dem Gesetz Moses und den Propheten und Psalmen.
And he said to them, These are the words which I said to you when I was still with you, how it was necessary for all the things which are in the writings of Moses and the prophets and in the Psalms about me, to be put into effect.
45 Dann öffnete er ihnen das Verständnis, um die Schriften zu verstehen,
Then he made the holy Writings clear to their minds.
46 und sprach zu ihnen: Also steht geschrieben, und also mußte der Christus leiden und am dritten Tage auferstehen aus den Toten,
And he said to them, So it is in the Writings that the Christ would undergo death, and come back to life again on the third day;
47 und in seinem Namen [Eig. auf Grund seines Namens] Buße und Vergebung der Sünden gepredigt werden allen Nationen, anfangend von Jerusalem.
And that teaching about a change of heart and forgiveness of sins is to be given to Jerusalem first and to all nations in his name.
48 Ihr aber seid Zeugen hiervon;
You are witnesses of these things.
49 und siehe, ich sende die Verheißung meines Vaters auf euch. Ihr aber, bleibet in der Stadt, bis ihr angetan werdet mit [O. angezogen habt] Kraft aus der Höhe.
And now I will send to you what my father has undertaken to give you, but do not go from the town, till the power from heaven comes to you.
50 Er führte sie aber hinaus bis nach Bethanien und hob seine Hände auf und segnete sie.
And he took them out till they were near Bethany, and lifting up his hands, he gave them a blessing.
51 Und es geschah, indem er sie segnete, schied er von ihnen und wurde hinaufgetragen in den Himmel.
And while he was doing so, he went from them and was taken up into heaven.
52 Und sie huldigten ihm und kehrten nach Jerusalem zurück mit großer Freude;
And they gave him worship and went back to Jerusalem with great joy.
53 und sie waren allezeit im Tempel, Gott lobend und preisend.
And they were in the Temple at all times, giving praise to God.
