1 Korinther 1

1 Paulus, berufener Apostel Jesu Christi durch Gottes Willen, und Sosthenes, der Bruder,

Paul called to be an Apostle of Iesus Christ, through the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,

2 der Versammlung Gottes, die in Korinth ist, den Geheiligten in Christo Jesu, den berufenen Heiligen, samt allen, die an jedem Orte den Namen unseres Herrn Jesus Christus anrufen, sowohl ihres als unseres Herrn.

Vnto the Church of God, which is at Corinthus, to them that are sanctified in Christ Iesus, Saintes by calling, with all that call on the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ in euery place, both their Lord, and ours:

3 Gnade euch und Friede von Gott, unserem Vater, und dem Herrn Jesus Christus!

Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.

4 Ich danke meinem Gott allezeit eurethalben für die [Eig. über der] Gnade Gottes, die euch gegeben ist in Christo Jesu,

I thanke my God alwayes on your behalfe for the grace of God, which is giuen you in Iesus Christ,

5 daß ihr in ihm in allem reich gemacht worden seid, in allem Wort und aller Erkenntnis,

That in all things ye are made rich in him, in all kinde of speach, and in all knowledge:

6 wie das Zeugnis des Christus unter [O. in] euch befestigt [O. bestätigt] worden ist,

As the testimonie of Iesus Christ hath bene confirmed in you:

7 so daß ihr in [O. an] keiner Gnadengabe Mangel habt, indem ihr die Offenbarung unseres Herrn Jesu Christi erwartet,

So that ye are not destitute of any gift: wayting for the appearing of our Lord Iesus Christ.

8 welcher euch auch befestigen wird bis ans Ende, daß ihr untadelig seid an dem Tage unseres Herrn Jesus Christus.

Who shall also confirme you vnto the ende, that ye may be blamelesse, in the day of our Lord Iesus Christ.

9 Gott ist treu, durch welchen ihr berufen worden seid in die Gemeinschaft seines Sohnes Jesus Christus, unseres Herrn.

God is faithfull, by whom ye are called vnto the fellowship of his Sonne Iesus Christ our Lord.

10 Ich ermahne [O. bitte] euch aber, Brüder, durch den Namen unseres Herrn Jesus Christus, daß ihr alle dasselbe redet und nicht Spaltungen unter euch seien, sondern daß ihr in demselben Sinne und in derselben Meinung völlig zusammengefügt [Eig. vollbereitet] seiet.

Nowe I beseeche you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ, that ye all speake one thing, and that there be no dissensions among you: but be ye knit together in one mind, and in one iudgement.

11 Denn es ist mir von euch kund geworden, meine Brüder, durch die Hausgenossen der Chloe, daß Streitigkeiten unter euch sind.

For it hath bene declared vnto me, my brethren, of you by them that are of the house of Cloe, that there are contentions among you.

12 Ich sage aber dieses, daß ein jeder von euch sagt: Ich bin des Paulus, ich aber des Apollos, ich aber des Kephas, ich aber Christi.

Nowe this I say, that euery one of you saith, I am Pauls, and I am Apollos, and I am Cephas, and I am Christs.

13 Ist der Christus zerteilt? Ist etwa Paulus für euch gekreuzigt, oder seid ihr auf Paulus Namen getauft worden?

Is Christ deuided? was Paul crucified for you? either were ye baptized into the name of Paul?

14 Ich danke Gott, daß ich niemanden von euch getauft habe, außer Krispus und Gajus,

I thanke God, that I baptized none of you, but Crispus, and Gaius,

15 auf daß nicht jemanden sage, daß ich auf meinen Namen getauft habe.

Lest any should say, that I had baptized into mine owne name.

16 Ich habe aber auch das Haus des Stephanas getauft; sonst weiß ich nicht, ob ich jemand anders getauft habe.

I baptized also the houshold of Stephanas: furthermore knowe I not, whether I baptized any other.

17 Denn Christus hat mich nicht ausgesandt zu taufen, sondern das Evangelium zu verkündigen; nicht in Redeweisheit, auf daß nicht das Kreuz Christi zunichte gemacht werde.

For CHRIST sent me not to baptize, but to preache the Gospel, not with wisdome of wordes, lest the crosse of Christ should be made of none effect.

18 Denn das Wort vom Kreuz ist denen, die verloren gehen, Torheit; uns aber, die wir errettet werden, ist es Gottes Kraft.

For that preaching of the crosse is to them that perish, foolishnesse: but vnto vs, which are saued, it is the power of God.

19 Denn es steht geschrieben: "Ich will die Weisheit der Weisen vernichten, und den Verstand der Verständigen will ich hinwegtun". [Jes. 29,14]

For it is written, I will destroy the wisedome of the wise, and will cast away the vnderstanding of the prudent.

20 Wo ist der Weise? wo der Schriftgelehrte? wo der Schulstreiter dieses Zeitlaufs? Hat nicht Gott die Weisheit der Welt zur Torheit gemacht? (aiōn g165)

Where is the wise? where is the Scribe? where is the disputer of this worlde? hath not God made the wisedome of this worlde foolishnesse? (aiōn g165)

21 Denn sintemal in der Weisheit Gottes die Welt durch die Weisheit Gott nicht erkannte, so gefiel es Gott wohl, durch die Torheit der Predigt die Glaubenden zu erretten;

For seeing the worlde by wisedome knewe not God in the wisedome of GOD, it pleased God by the foolishnesse of preaching to saue them that beleeue:

22 sintemal ja sowohl Juden Zeichen fordern, als auch Griechen Weisheit suchen;

Seeing also that the Iewes require a signe, and the Grecians seeke after wisdome.

23 wir aber predigen Christum als gekreuzigt, den Juden ein Ärgernis, und den Nationen eine Torheit;

But wee preach Christ crucified: vnto the Iewes, euen a stumbling blocke, and vnto the Grecians, foolishnesse:

24 den Berufenen selbst aber, sowohl Juden als Griechen, Christum, Gottes Kraft und Gottes Weisheit;

But vnto them which are called, both of the Iewes and Grecians, we preach Christ, the power of God, and the wisedome of God.

25 denn das Törichte Gottes ist weiser als die Menschen, und das Schwache Gottes ist stärker als die Menschen.

For the foolishnesse of God is wiser then men, and the weakenesse of God is stronger then men.

26 Denn sehet eure Berufung, Brüder, daß es nicht viele Weise nach dem Fleische, nicht viele Mächtige, nicht viele Edle sind;

For brethren, you see your calling, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble are called.

27 sondern das Törichte der Welt hat Gott auserwählt, auf daß er die Weisen zu Schanden mache; und das Schwache der Welt hat Gott auserwählt, auf daß er das Starke zu Schanden mache;

But God hath chosen the foolish thinges of the world to confound the wise, and God hath chosen the weake thinges of the worlde, to confound the mightie things,

28 und das Unedle der Welt und das Verachtete hat Gott auserwählt, und das, was nicht ist, auf daß er das, was ist, zunichte mache,

And vile things of the worlde and thinges which are despised, hath God chosen, and thinges which are not, to bring to nought thinges that are,

29 damit sich vor Gott kein Fleisch rühme.

That no flesh shoulde reioyce in his presence.

30 Aus ihm aber seid ihr in Christo Jesu, der uns geworden ist Weisheit von Gott [O. von Gott zur Weisheit] und Gerechtigkeit und Heiligkeit [O. Heiligung; eig. Geheiligtsein] und Erlösung;

But ye are of him in Christ Iesus, who of God is made vnto vs wisedome and righteousnesse, and sanctification, and redemption,

31 auf daß, wie geschrieben steht: "Wer sich rühmt, der rühme sich des Herrn". [W. in dem Herrn [S. die Anm. zu Mat. 1,20]] [Jer. 9,23-24; Jes. 45,25]

That, according as it is written, Hee that reioyceth, let him reioyce in the Lord.
