1 Chronik 23
1 Und David war alt und der Tage satt; und er machte Salomo, seinen Sohn, zum König über Israel.
Therfor Dauid was eld and ful of daies, and ordeynede Salomon, his sone, kyng on Israel.
2 Und er versammelte alle Obersten Israels und die Priester und die Leviten.
And he gaderide togidere alle the princes of Israel, and the preestis, and dekenes;
3 Und die Leviten wurden gezählt von dreißig Jahren an und darüber; und ihre Zahl war, Kopf für Kopf, an Männern 38000.
and the dekenes weren noumbrid fro twenti yeer and aboue, and eiyte and thretti thousynde of men weren foundun.
4 Von diesen, sprach David, sollen 24000 die Aufsicht über das Werk des Hauses Jehovas führen; und 6000 sollen Vorsteher und Richter sein;
And foure and twenty thousynde men weren chosun of hem, and weren departid in to the seruyce of the hows of the Lord; sotheli of souereyns, and iugis, sixe thousynde;
5 und 4000 Torhüter; und 4000, welche Jehova loben [O. lobsingen] mit den Instrumenten, die ich gemacht habe, um zu loben. [O. lobsingen]
forsothe foure thousynde `porteris weren, and so many syngeris, syngynge to the Lord in orguns, whiche Dauid hadde maad for to synge.
6 Und David teilte sie in Abteilungen, nach den Söhnen Levis, nach Gerson, Kehath und Merari.
And Dauid departide hem bi the whilis of the sones of Leuy, that is, of Gerson, and of Caath, and Merary.
7 Von den Gersonitern: Ladan und Simei.
And the sones of Gerson weren Leedan and Semeye.
8 Die Söhne Ladans: das Haupt, Jechiel, und Setham und Joel, drei.
The sones of Leedan weren thre, the prince Jehiel, and Ethan, and Johel.
9 Die Söhne Simeis: Schelomith und Hasiel und Haran, drei. Diese waren die Häupter der Väter von Ladan.
The sones of Semei weren thre, Salamyth, and Oziel, and Aram; these weren the princes of the meynees of Leedan.
10 Und die Söhne Simeis: Jachath, Sina und Jeghusch und Beria; das waren die Söhne Simeis, vier.
Forsothe the sones of Semeye weren Leeth, and Ziza, and Yaus, and Baria, these foure weren the sones of Semei.
11 Und Jachath war das Haupt, und Sina der zweite; und Jeghusch und Beria hatten nicht viele Söhne, und so bildeten sie ein Vaterhaus, eine Zählung. [O. eine Amtsklasse]
Sotheli Leeth was the formere, and Ziza the secounde; forsothe Yaus and Baria hadden not ful many sones, and therfor thei weren rikenyd in o meynee and oon hows.
12 Die Söhne Kehaths: Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel, vier.
The sones of Caath weren foure, Amram, and Ysaac, Ebron, and Oziel.
13 Die Söhne Amrams: Aaron und Mose. Und Aaron wurde abgesondert, daß er als hochheilig geheiligt würde, er und seine Söhne auf ewig, um vor Jehova zu räuchern, ihm zu dienen und in seinem Namen zu segnen ewiglich.
The sones of Amram weren Aaron and Moyses; and Aaron was departid, that he schulde mynystre in the hooli thing of hooli thingis, he and hise sones with outen ende, and to brenne encense to the Lord bi his custom, and to blesse his name with outen ende.
14 Und was Mose, den Mann Gottes, betrifft, so wurden seine Söhne nach dem Stamme Levi genannt.
Also the sones of Moyses, man of God, weren noumbrid in the lynage of Leuy.
15 Die Söhne Moses: Gersom und Elieser.
The sones of Moises weren Gerson and Elieser.
16 die Söhne Gersoms: Schebuel, das Haupt.
The sones of Gerson; `Subuhel the firste.
17 Und die Söhne Eliesers waren: Rechabja, das Haupt; und Elieser hatte keine anderen Söhne; aber die Söhne Rechabjas waren überaus zahlreich. -
Sotheli the sones of Eliezer weren Roboya the firste, and othere sones weren not to Eliezer; forsothe the sones of Roboia weren multipliede ful miche.
18 Die Söhne Jizhars: Schelomith, das Haupt.
The sones of Isaar; `Salumuth the firste.
19 Die Söhne Hebrons: Jerija, das Haupt; Amarja, der zweite; Jachasiel, der dritte; und Jekamam, der vierte.
The sones of Ebron; `Jerian the firste, Amarias the secounde, Jaziel the thridde, Jethamaan the fourthe.
20 Die Söhne Ussiels: Micha, das Haupt, und Jischija, der zweite.
The sones of Oziel; `Mycha the firste, Jesia the secounde.
21 Die Söhne Meraris: Machli und Musi. Die Söhne Machlis: Eleasar und Kis.
The sones of Merari weren Mooli and Musi. The sones of Mooli weren Eleazar, and Cys.
22 Und Eleasar starb, und er hatte keine Söhne, sondern nur Töchter; und die Söhne Kis, ihre Brüder, nahmen sie zu Weibern.
Sotheli Eleazar was deed, and hadde not sones, but douytris; and the sones of Cys, the britheren of hem, weddiden hem.
23 Die Söhne Musis: Machli und Eder und Jeremoth, drei.
The sones of Musi weren thre, Mooli, and Heder, and Jerymuth.
24 Das waren die Söhne Levis nach ihren Vaterhäusern, Häupter der Väter, wie sie gemustert wurden nach der Zahl [O. durch Zählung] der Namen, Kopf für Kopf, welche das Werk taten für den Dienst des Hauses Jehovas, von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber.
These weren the sones of Leuy in her kynredis and meynees, prynces bi whilis, and noumbre of alle heedis, that diden the trauel of the seruyce of the hows of the Lord, fro twenti yeer and aboue.
25 Denn David sprach: Jehova, der Gott Israels, hat seinem Volke Ruhe geschafft, und er wohnt in Jerusalem auf ewig;
For Dauid seide, The Lord God of Israel hath youe reste to his puple, and a dwellyng in Jerusalem til in to with outen ende;
26 so haben auch die Leviten die Wohnung und alle ihre Geräte zu ihrem Dienste nicht mehr zu tragen.
and it schal not be the office of dekenes for to bere more the tabernacle, and alle vessels therof for to mynystre.
27 Denn nach den letzten Worten Davids wurden von den Söhnen Levis diejenigen von zwanzig Jahren an und darüber gezählt.
Also bi the laste comaundementis of Dauid the noumbre of the sones of Leuy schulen be rikened fro twenti yeer and aboue;
28 Denn ihre Stelle war [O. mit Einklammerung des 27. Verses: "Denn ihre Stelle ist usw."; und dementsprechend in v 32: Und sie sollen warten usw.] zur Seite [O. unter der Aufsicht, Leitung] der Söhne Aarons für den Dienst des Hauses Jehovas betreffs der Vorhöfe und der Zellen und der Reinigung alles Heiligen, und betreffs des Werkes des Dienstes des Hauses Gottes:
and thei schulen be vndir the hond of the sones of Aaron in to the worschipe of the hows of the Lord, in porchis, and in chaumbris, and in the place of clensyng, and in the seyntuarie, and in alle werkis of the seruyce of the temple of the Lord.
29 für das Schichtbrot, und für das Feinmehl zum Speisopfer, und für die ungesäuerten Fladen, und für die Pfanne, und für das Eingerührte, und für alles Hohl- und Längenmaß;
Forsothe preestis schulen be ouer the looues of proposicioun, and to the sacrifice of flour, and to the pastis sodun in watir, and to the therf looues, and friyng panne, and to hoot flour, and to seenge, and ouer al weiyte and mesure.
30 und damit sie Morgen für Morgen hinträten, um Jehova zu preisen und zu loben, und ebenso am Abend;
Forsothe the dekenes schulen be, that thei stonde eerli, for to knowleche and synge to the Lord, and lijk maner at euentide,
31 und um alle Brandopfer dem Jehova zu opfern an den Sabbathen, an den Neumonden und an den Festen, [S. die Anm. zu 3. Mose 23,2] nach der Zahl, nach der Vorschrift darüber, [S. 4. Mose 28] beständig vor Jehova.
as wel in the offryng of brent sacrifices of the Lord, as in sabatis, and kalendis, and othere solempnytees, bi the noumbre and cerymonyes of eche thing contynueli bifor the Lord;
32 Und sie warteten der Hut des Zeltes der Zusammenkunft und der Hut des Heiligtums, und der Hut der Söhne Aarons, ihrer Brüder, [d. h. sie unterstützten ihre Brüder in deren Dienst] für den Dienst des Hauses Jehovas.
and that thei kepe the obseruaunces of the tabernacle of the boond of pees of the Lord, and the custum of the seyntuarie, and the obseruaunce of the sones of Aaron, her britheren, that thei mynystre in the hows of the Lord.
