Lukas 21
1 Als er aufblickte, sah er, wie die Reichen ihre Gaben in den Opferstock warfen.
And, looking up, he saw the, rich, who were casting their gifts into the treasury, —
2 Da sah er auch eine arme Witwe dort zwei kleine Münzen einlegen
and he saw a certain poor widow, casting in thither two mites;
3 und sprach: "Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Diese arme Witwe hat mehr als alle anderen eingelegt.
and he said—Of a truth, I say unto you—This destitute widow, more than they all, hath cast in;
4 Denn jene haben alle aus ihrem Überfluß eine Gabe in den Gotteskasten eingelegt; sie aber hat trotz ihrer Dürftigkeit ihre ganze Habe eingelegt."
For, all these, out of their superfluity, have cast in among the gifts, but, she, out of her deficiency, all the living that she had, hath cast in.
5 Einige redeten davon, wie der Tempel mit schönen Steinen und Weihgeschenken geschmückt sei. Da sagte er:
And, certain saying, of the temple—With beautiful stones and offerings, hath it been adorned! he said—
6 "Es werden Tage kommen, wo von dem, was ihr hier seht, kein Stein auf dem anderen bleibt; alles soll in Trümmer gehen."
As to these things, which ye are looking upon, There will come days, in which there will not be left here, stone upon stone, which will not be taken down.
7 Sie fragten ihn: "Meister, wann geschieht denn das? Und welches Zeichen wird gegeben, wenn sich dies ereignen soll?"
And they questioned him, saying—Teacher! when, therefore, will these things be? And, what the sign, when these things shall be about to come to pass?
8 Er erwiderte: "Habt acht, daß ihr euch nicht irreführen laßt! Denn mancher wird kommen unter meinem Namen und behaupten: 'Ich bin (der Messias)' und: 'Die Zeit ist nahe.' Folgt diesen Leuten nicht!
And, he, said—Be taking heed ye be not deceived; for, many, will come upon my name, saying—I, am he, —and—The season, hath drawn near! Do not go after them.
9 Hört ihr dann von Kriegen und von inneren Wirren, so laßt euch dadurch nicht in Schrecken bringen. Denn das muß zunächst geschehen. Aber damit ist noch nicht sofort das Ende da."
But, whensoever ye shall hear of wars and revolutions, be not terrified, —for these things, must needs, come to pass first, but, not immediately, is the end.
10 Dann fuhr er fort: "Ein Volk wird sich erheben gegen das andere und ein Reich gegen das andere.
Then, said he unto them—There will rise up, nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
11 Gewaltige Erdbeben werden stattfinden, hier und da werden Hungersnöte und Seuchen sein, und am Himmel wird man schreckliche Erscheinungen und große Wunderzeichen sehen.
As well great earthquakes, as also, in places, pestilences and famines, will there be, as well objects of terror, as also, from heaven, great signs, will there be.
12 Doch ehe dies alles eintritt, wird man die Hände an euch legen und euch verfolgen: dann bringt man euch vor die Gerichte und wirft euch ins Gefängnis, und um meines Namens willen führt man euch vor Könige und Statthalter.
And before, all these things, they will thrust upon you their hands, and persecute you, delivering you up into the synagogues and prisons, —when ye have been led away before kings and governors, for the sake of my name;
13 Das wird euch widerfahren, damit ihr von mir Zeugnis ablegt.
But it shall turn out to you for a witness.
14 Beherzigt nun, daß ihr nicht schon vorher an eure Verteidigung zu denken braucht.
Settle, then, in your hearts, not to be studying beforehand, how to make defense;
15 Denn ich will euch Beredsamkeit und Weisheit schenken, so daß alle eure Widersacher dagegen nichts ausrichten oder sagen können.
For, I, will give you a mouth and wisdom, which one-and-all who are setting themselves against, you shall be unable to withstand or gainsay.
16 Ihr werdet aber sogar von Eltern und Brüdern, von Blutsverwandten und Freunden (euern Feinden) überliefert werden; ja manche von euch wird man töten,
But ye will be delivered up, even by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolk, and friends, and they will put to death some from among you;
17 und alle Welt wird euch hassen, weil ihr meinen Namen bekennt.
And ye will be hated by all, because of my name:
18 Es soll jedoch kein Haar von euerm Haupt verlorengehen.
And, a hair of your head, in nowise shall perish, —
19 Durch eure Standhaftigkeit gewinnt euch das Leben!
By your endurance, shall ye gain your lives for a possession.
20 Wenn ihr aber Jerusalem von Heeren umlagert seht, dann seid gewiß, daß die Verwüstung der Stadt ganz nahe ist.
But whensoever ye shall see Jerusalem, encompassed by armies, then, know, that her desolation hath drawn near.
21 Dann sollen, die in Judäa sind, in das Gebirge fliehen; die Leute auf dem Land sollen nicht hineingehen in die Stadt.
Then they who are in Judaea, let them flee into the mountains, and they who are in her midst, let them go forth, —and they who are in the fields, let them not enter into her;
22 Denn dann sind die Tage der Vergeltung da, damit alles in Erfüllung gehe, was geschrieben steht.
For, days of avenging, are, these, for all the things written to be fulfilled.
23 Weh den Frauen, die Kinder erwarten, und stillenden Müttern in jenen Tagen! Denn es wird große Not im Land herrschen, und ein Zorngericht wird über dieses Volk ergehen:
Alas! for the women with child, and for them who are giving suck, in those days; for there will be great distress upon the land, and anger against this people.
24 sie werden durch des Schwertes Schärfe fallen und gefangen weggeführt unter alle Völker; und Heiden werden Jerusalem mit Füßen treten, bis die Zeit der Heidenvölker abgelaufen ist.
And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be carried away captive into all the nations, and, Jerusalem, shall be trodden down by the nations, until the seasons of the nations shall be fulfilled [and shall be].
25 Dann wird man Wunderzeichen an Sonne, Mond und Sternen sehen, und auf Erden wird die Völker Angst ergreifen, wenn sie bei dem Tosen der Meereswogen ratlos sind.
And there will he signs in sun, and moon, and stars, and, on the earth, anguish of nations in embarrassment—sea and surge resounding, —
26 Da sollen die Menschen vor Furcht vergehen in bangem Warten auf die Dinge, die über den Erdkreis kommen werden. Denn die Himmelskräfte werden wanken.
Men fainting, from fear and expectation of the things overtaking the inhabited earth. For, the powers of the heavens, will be shaken.
27 Und dann wird man den Menschensohn in einer Wolke kommen sehen mit großer Macht und Herrlichkeit.
And, then, will they see the Son of Man—coming in a cloud, with great power and glory.
28 Wenn aber dieses anfängt zu geschehen, so schaut auf und hebt das Haupt empor; denn eure Errettung naht!"
And, when these things are beginning to come to pass, unbend and lift up your heads, because that, your redemption, is drawing near.
29 Er veranschaulichte dies durch ein Gleichnis: "Seht", so sprach er, "den Feigenbaum und alle anderen Bäume an!
And he spake a parable unto them: See the fig-tree, and all the trees, —
30 Wenn ihr wahrnehmt, daß sie ausschlagen, so wißt ihr von selbst, daß nun der Sommer nahe ist.
Whensoever they have already budded, seeing it, of yourselves, ye observe that, already near, is, the summer:
31 So sollt ihr auch, wenn ihr dies kommen seht, gewiß sein, daß Gottes Königreich nahe ist.
Thus, ye also, whensoever ye shall see, these, things coming to pass, observe ye, that, near, is the kingdom of God!
32 Wahrlich, ich sage euch: Diese Weltzeit ist nicht eher zu Ende, als bis alles geschehen ist.
Verily, I say unto you—In nowise shall this generation pass away, until, all things, shall happen:
33 Himmel und Erde werden vergehen, meine Worte aber werden nimmermehr vergehen.
Heaven and earth, will pass away, but, my word, in nowise will pass away.
34 Seid aber auf der Hut, daß eure Herzen nicht durch Rausch und Trunkenheit und durch die Sorgen um das Irdische belastet werden; sonst überfällt euch jener Tag ganz unvermutet wie eine Schlinge.
But be taking heed unto yourselves, lest once your hearts be made heavy—with debauch and drunkenness and anxieties about livelihood, and that day come upon you suddenly,
35 Denn er wird sicher kommen über alle, die auf der ganzen Erde wohnen.
as a snare, —For it will come in by surprise, upon all them that are dwelling on the face of all the earth.
36 Darum wacht allezeit und betet, damit ihr jedem Widerstand zum Trotz die Kraft empfangt, zu entrinnen alledem, was kommen soll, und sicher dazustehen in der Gegenwart des Menschensohnes!"
But be watching in every season, making supplication, that ye may gain full vigour, to escape all these things that are about to be coming to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
37 Tagsüber hielt er sich im Tempel auf und lehrte dort; des Abends aber verließ er die Stadt und übernachtete auf dem sogenannten Ölberg.
And he was, by day, in the temple, teaching; but, by night, going forth, he was lodging in the mount which is called the Mount of Olives.
38 Frühmorgens schon kam alles Volk zu ihm in den Tempel, um ihn zu hören.
And, all the people, were coming at day-break unto him, in the temple, to be hearkening unto him.
