Lukas 17
1 Jesus sprach dann weiter zu seinen Jüngern: "Verführungen sind zwar unvermeidlich; doch wehe dem, durch den sie kommen!
And he said unto his disciples: —It is, impossible, that occasions of stumbling should not come, notwithstanding, alas! for him through whom they do come:
2 Es wäre für ihn besser, er läge in des Meeres Tiefe mit einem Mühlstein um den Hals, als daß er eins der Kinder, die hier stehen, zur Sünde verführte.
It profiteth him, if, a mill-stone, is hung about his neck, and he is cast into the sea, than that he cause, one, of these little ones, to stumble.
3 Hütet euch davor! Sündigt dein Bruder, so weise ihn ernst zurecht; und wenn er es bereut, vergib ihm!
Be taking heed to yourselves, —If thy brother sin, rebuke him, and, if he repent, forgive him;
4 Ja wenn er sich siebenmal an einem Tag gegen dich versündigte und er käme siebenmal zu dir zurück und spräche: 'Es tut mir leid', so sollst du ihm vergeben."
Even if, seven times a day, he sin against thee, and, seven times, turn to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
5 Da baten die Apostel den Herrn: "Gib uns mehr Glauben!"
And the apostles said unto the Lord—Bestow on us faith!
6 Der Herr antwortete: "Wenn ihr Glauben hättet wie ein Senfkorn, so sprächt ihr zu diesem Maulbeerbaum: Entwurzele dich und verpflanze dich ins Meer!' —, und er gehorchte euch.
And the Lord said—If ye have faith like a grain of mustard-seed, ye should be saying unto [this] mulberry-tree—Be uprooted! and be planted in the sea, —and it should obey you.
7 Wer von euch sagt zu seinem Acker- oder Hüteknecht, wenn er vom Feld heimkehrt: 'Geschwind komm her und geh zu Tisch'?
But, who from among you, having, a servant, plowing or keeping sheep, when he hath come in out of the field, will say to him—Straightway, come, and recline; —
8 Wird er ihm nicht vielmehr befehlen: 'Mach mir mein Abendessen fertig, schürze dich und bediene mich, bis ich gegessen und getrunken habe — dann halte du dein Mahl'?
on the contrary, will not say to him—Make somewhat ready, that I may dine, —and, girding thyself, be ministering unto me, until I have eaten and drunk; and, after these things, thou, shalt eat and drink?
9 Dankt er etwa dem Knecht, weil er getan hat, was ihm befohlen worden ist?
Doth he offer thanks unto the servant, because he hath done the things enjoined?
10 Ebenso auch ihr: Habt ihr alles ausgeführt, was euch aufgetragen worden ist, so denkt: wir haben als Knechte kein Verdienst; wir haben nur getan, was wir zu tun schuldig waren."
Thus, ye also, when ye have done all the things enjoined upon you, say—Unprofitable servants, are we, —What we were bound to do, we have done!
11 Auf seiner Wanderung nach Jerusalem zog er längs der Grenze zwischen Samaria und Galiläa.
And it came to pass, during the journey unto Jerusalem, that, he, was going through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
12 Als er in ein Dorf kam, begegneten ihm zehn aussätzige Männer: die blieben von weitem stehen
And, as he was entering into a certain village, there met him ten leprous men, who stood still, afar off;
13 und riefen laut: "Jesus, Meister, erbarme dich unser!"
and, they, lifted up a voice, saying—Jesus! Master! have mercy on us!
14 Als er sie erblickte, sagte er zu ihnen: "Geht hin und zeigt euch den Priestern!" Während sie hingingen, wurden sie rein.
And, beholding, he said unto them—Go your way, and show yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, as they withdrew, they were cleansed.
15 Aber einer von ihnen kam zurück, als er sich geheilt sah: er pries Gott mit lauter Stimme,
But, one from among them, beholding that he was healed, returned, with a loud voice, glorifying God, —
16 warf sich zu Jesu Füßen auf sein Angesicht und dankte ihm. Das war ein Samariter.
and fell prostrate at his feet, giving him thanks; and, he, was a Samaritan.
17 Da fragte Jesus: "Sind nicht alle zehn gesund geworden? Wo sind die anderen neun?
And Jesus, answering, said—Were not, the ten, cleansed? [but, ] where, are, the nine?
18 Hat sich sonst keiner gefunden, der zurückkäme, um Gott die Ehre zu geben, als dieser Fremdling?"
Have none been found returning to give glory to God, save this one of another race?
19 Und er sprach zu ihm: "Steh auf und geh! Dein Glaube hat dich gesund gemacht."
And he said unto him—Arise and go thy way: thy faith, hath saved thee.
20 Einst fragten ihn die Pharisäer: "Wann kommt Gottes Königreich?" Er antwortete ihnen: "Gottes Königreich kommt ganz ohne äußeres Aufsehen.
And, being questioned by the Pharisees, When cometh the kingdom of God? he answered them and said—The kingdom of God cometh not with narrow watching;
21 Man kann auch nicht sagen: 'Hier ist es oder dort.' Denn wißt: Gottes Königreich ist schon mitten unter euch."
Neither shall they say—Lo, here! or, There. For lo! the kingdom of God, is, among you.
22 Dann sagte er zu seinen Jüngern: "Die Zeit wird kommen, wo ihr euch danach sehnt, nur einen von den Tagen des Menschensohnes zu erleben; doch ihr sollt ihn nicht erleben.
But he said unto the disciples—There will come days—when ye will long to see, one of the days of the Son of Man, and shall not see.
23 Dann wird man zu euch sagen: 'Seht dort, seht hier (ist der Messias)!' Geht nicht hin, lauft solchen Leuten nicht nach!
And they will say unto you, Lo there! or, Lo here! Do not [depart, and do not] pursue.
24 Denn wie der Blitz aufleuchtet und am Himmel hin- und herzuckt, so wird der Menschensohn an seinem Tage sein.
For, just as, the lightning, flashing out of the one part under heaven, unto the other part under heaven, shineth, so, shall be, the Son of Man.
25 Zuvor aber muß er viel leiden und von dem gegenwärtigen Geschlecht verworfen werden.
But, first, he must needs suffer, many things, and be rejected by this generation.
26 Wie es in Noahs Tagen zuging, so wird's auch zugehen in des Menschensohnes Tagen:
And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so, will it be, even in the days of the Son of Man:
27 Man aß und trank, man nahm zur Ehe und gab zur Ehe bis zu dem Tag, als Noah in die Arche ging. Dann brach die Flut herein und vertilgte alle.
They were eating, they were drinking, they were marrying, they were being given in marriage, —until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
28 Ganz ebenso ging's in den Tagen Lots: man aß und trank, man kaufte und verkaufte, man pflanzte und baute.
In like manner, as it came to pass in the days of Lot, They were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building, —
29 Doch an dem Tag, wo Lot aus Sodom ging, fiel ein Feuer- und Schwefelregen vom Himmel und vertilgte alle.
But, on the day Lot came out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all: —
30 So wird's auch an dem Tag sein, an dem der Menschensohn sich offenbart.
According to the same things, will it be on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 Wer an jenem Tag auf dem Dach ist und sein Gerät im Haus liegen hat, der soll nicht erst hinuntergehen und es holen; und ebenso: wer draußen auf dem Feld ist, der kehre nicht zurück in seine Wohnung.
In that day, he that shall be on the housetop, and his utensils in the house, let him not go down, to take them away! And, he that is in the field, in like manner, let him not turn unto the things behind,
32 Denkt an Lots Weib!
Bear in mind the wife of Lot! Whosoever shall seek to make his life his own, shall lose it,
33 Wer sein Leben zu erhalten sucht, der wird's verlieren; und wer's verliert, der wird es sich bewahren.
But, whosoever shall lose it, shall give it a living birth.
34 Ich sage euch: In jener Nacht werden zwei Männer auf einem Lager ruhen: der eine wird mitgenommen, der andere bleibt zurück.
I say unto you—On the selfsame night, there shall be two men on [one] bed, —the one, shall be taken near, and, the other, left behind;
35 Zwei Frauen werden miteinander mahlen: die eine wird mitgenommen, die andere bleibt zurück."
There shall be two women grinding together, —the one, shall be taken near, and, the other, left behind.
37 Da fragten ihn die Jünger: "Wo, Herr (finden wir dann Zuflucht)?" Er antwortete ihnen: "Wo der Leichnam ist, da versammeln sich auch die Geier."
And, answering, they say unto him—Where, Lord? And, he, said unto them—Where the body is, there, the vultures also, will be gathered together.
