Johannes 3
1 Unter den Pharisäern war ein Mann, mit Namen Nikodemus, ein Mitglied des jüdischen Hohen Rates.
And there was a man of the Farisees, Nychodeme bi name, a prince of the Jewis.
2 Der kam bei Nacht zu Jesus und sprach zu ihm: "Meister, wir wissen, daß du ein von Gott gesandter Lehrer bist. Denn niemand kann die Wunderzeichen tun, die du vollbringst, wenn Gott nicht mit ihm ist."
And he cam to Jhesu bi niyt, and seide to hym, Rabi, we witen, that thou art comun fro God maister; for no man may do these signes, that thou doist, but God be with hym.
3 Jesus antwortete ihm: "Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wer nicht von oben her geboren wird, der kann Gottes Königreich nicht sehen."
Jhesus answerde, and seide to hym, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, but a man be borun ayen, he may not se the kyngdom of God.
4 Nikodemus sprach zu ihm: "Wie kann jemand in seinem hohen Alter geboren werden? Kann er denn zum zweitenmal in seiner Mutter Schoß gehen und dann geboren werden?"
Nychodeme seide to hym, Hou may a man be borun, whanne he is eeld? whether he may entre ayen in to his modris wombe, and be borun ayen?
5 Jesus erwiderte: "Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wer nicht aus Wasser und Geist geboren wird, der kann in Gottes Königreich nicht eingehen.
Jhesus answeride, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, but a man be borun ayen of watir, and of the Hooli Goost, he may not entre in to the kyngdom of God.
6 Das aus dem Fleisch Geborene ist Fleisch, das aus dem Geist Geborene ist Geist.
`That that is borun of the fleisch, is fleisch; and `that that is borun of spirit, is spirit.
7 Sei nicht erstaunt darüber, daß ich dir gesagt habe: ihr müßt von oben her geboren werden.
Wondre thou not, for Y seide to thee, It bihoueth you to be borun ayen.
8 Der Wind weht, wo er will; du hörst zwar sein Brausen; aber du weißt nicht, woher er kommt und wohin er geht. Ebenso verhält sich's auch mit jedem, der aus dem Geist geboren ist."
The spirit brethith where he wole, and thou herist his vois, but thou wost not, fro whennus he cometh, ne whidir he goith; so is ech man that is borun of the spirit.
9 Nikodemus entgegnete ihm: "Wie ist dies alles möglich?"
Nychodeme answeride, and seide to hym, Hou moun these thingis be don?
10 Jesus antwortete ihm: "Du bist ein so bekannter Lehrer Israels und weißt das nicht?
Jhesus answeride, and seide to hym, Thou art a maister in Israel, and knowist not these thingis?
11 Wahrlich, wahrlich, ich sage dir: Wir reden, was wir wissen, und bezeugen, was wir gesehen haben; trotzdem nehmt ihr unser Zeugnis nicht an.
Treuli, treuli, Y seie to thee, for we speken that that we witen, and we witnessen that that we han seyn, and ye taken not oure witnessyng.
12 Glaubt ihr nicht einmal, wenn ich von den irdischen Dingen zu euch geredet habe, wie werdet ihr da glauben, wenn ich erst von den himmlischen Dingen zu euch rede?
If Y haue seid to you ertheli thingis, and ye bileuen not, hou if Y seie to you heueneli thingis, schulen ye bileue?
13 Niemand aber ist im Himmel heimisch als allein der Menschensohn, der aus dem Himmel herabgekommen ist.
And no man stieth in to heuene, but he that cam doun fro heuene, mannys sone that is in heuene.
14 Und wie einst Mose in der Wüste die Schlange erhöht hat, ebenso muß auch der Menschensohn erhöht werden,
And as Moises areride a serpent in desert, so it bihoueth mannys sone to be reisid,
that ech man that bileueth in hym, perische not, but haue euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
16 Denn so sehr hat Gott die Welt geliebt, daß er seinen eingeborenen Sohn gegeben hat, damit jeder, der an ihn glaubt, nicht verlorengehe, sondern das ewige Leben habe. (aiōnios g166)
For God louede so the world, that he yaf his `oon bigetun sone, that ech man that bileueth in him perische not, but haue euerlastynge lijf. (aiōnios g166)
17 Denn Gott hat seinen Sohn nicht in die Welt gesandt, um die Welt zu richten, sondern damit die Welt durch ihn errettet werde.
For God sente not his sone in to the world, that he iuge the world, but that the world be saued bi him.
18 Wer an ihn glaubt, der wird nicht gerichtet; wer aber nicht glaubt, der ist schon gerichtet, weil er nicht gläubig ist an den Namen des eingeborenen Sohnes Gottes.
He that bileueth in hym, is not demed; but he that bileueth not, is now demed, for he bileueth not in the name of the `oon bigetun sone of God.
19 Darin aber vollzieht sich das Gericht, daß das Licht in die Welt gekommen ist und die Menschen trotzdem die Finsternis dem Licht vorgezogen haben. Das taten sie, weil ihre Werke böse waren.
And this is the dom, for liyt cam in to the world, and men loueden more derknessis than liyt; for her werkes weren yuele.
20 Denn jeder Übeltäter haßt das Licht und kommt nicht an das Licht, aus Furcht, daß seine Werke aufgedeckt und verurteilt werden.
For ech man that doith yuele, hatith the liyt; and he cometh not to the liyt, that hise werkis be not repreued.
21 Wer aber die Wahrheit tut, der kommt ans Licht, damit seine Werke offenbar werden; denn sie sind in Gott getan.
But he that doith treuthe, cometh to the liyt, that hise werkis be schewid, that thei ben don in God.
22 Darauf begab sich Jesus mit seinen Jüngern in die Landschaft Judäa. Dort blieb er mit ihnen eine Zeitlang und taufte.
Aftir these thingis Jhesus cam, and hise disciplis, in to the loond of Judee, and there he dwellide with hem, and baptiside.
23 Aber auch Johannes taufte damals in Ainon nahe bei Salim, weil dort viel Wasser war; und die Leute kamen zu ihm und ließen sich taufen.
And Joon was baptisinge in Ennon, bisidis Salym, for many watris weren there; and thei camen, and weren baptisid.
24 Denn Johannes war noch nicht ins Gefängnis geworfen.
And Joon was not yit sent in to prisoun.
25 Einst stritten die Jünger des Johannes mit einem Juden über die Frage der Reinigung.
Therfor a questioun was maad of Jonys disciplis with the Jewis, of the purificacioun.
26 Da kamen sie zu Johannes und sagten ihm: "Meister, der Mann, der jenseits des Jordans bei dir war, und für den du Zeugnis abgelegt hast, der tauft jetzt auch, und alle kommen zu ihm."
And thei camen to Joon, and seiden `to hym, Maister, he that was with thee biyonde Jordan, to whom thou hast borun witnessyng, lo! he baptisith, and alle men comen to hym.
27 Da antwortete Johannes: "Kein Mensch kann etwas nehmen, wenn es ihm nicht vom Himmel her gegeben ist.
Joon answerde, and seide, A man may not take ony thing, but it be youun to hym fro heuene.
28 Ihr selbst könnt mir bezeugen, daß ich gesagt habe: 'Ich bin nicht der Messias, ich bin nur sein Wegbereiter.'
Ye you silf beren witnessyng to me, that Y seide, Y am not Crist, but that Y am sent bifore hym.
29 Wer die Braut hat, ist der Bräutigam. Der Freund des Bräutigams aber, der bei ihm steht und auf seine Worte lauscht, ist voller Freude über des Bräutigams Glück. Solche Freude wird mir jetzt im vollen Maß zuteil.
He that hath a wijf, is the hosebonde; but the freend of the spouse that stondith, and herith hym, ioieth with ioye, for the vois of the spouse. Therfor in this thing my ioye is fulfillid.
30 Er muß wachsen, ich muß kleiner werden."
It bihoueth hym to wexe, but me to be maad lesse.
31 Er, der von oben kommt, ist allen überlegen. Wer von der Erde stammt, gehört (nach seiner ganzen Art) der Erde an, und auch alles, was er redet, geht von der Erde aus. Wer aus dem Himmel kommt,
He that cam from aboue, is aboue alle; he that is of the erthe, spekith of the erthe; he that cometh from heuene, is aboue alle.
32 der zeugt von dem, was er gesehen und gehört hat. Doch niemand nimmt sein Zeugnis an.
And he witnessith that thing that he hath seie, and herde, and no man takith his witnessing.
33 Wer aber sein Zeugnis annimmt, der bestätigt damit feierlich, daß Gott wahrhaftig ist.
But he that takith his witnessyng, hath confermyd that God is sothefast.
34 Denn er, den Gott gesandt hat, redet Gottes Worte, weil Gott (ihm) den Geist nicht in beschränktem Maße gibt.
But he whom God hath sent, spekith the wordis of God; for not to mesure God yyueth the spirit.
35 Der Vater liebt den Sohn, und alles hat er ihm in seine Hand gegeben.
The fadir loueth the sone, and he hath youun alle thingis in his hoond.
36 Wer an den Sohn glaubt, der hat das ewige Leben. Wer aber dem Sohn nicht gehorcht, der wird kein Leben schauen; sondern Gottes Zorn lastet immerfort auf ihm. (aiōnios g166)
He that bileueth in the sone, hath euerlastynge lijf; but he that is vnbileueful to the sone, schal not se euerlastynge lijf, but the wraththe of God dwellith on hym. (aiōnios g166)
