Exode 30
1 Tu feras aussi pour brûler un parfum, un autel de bois de sétim,
And thou shalt make an altar, for burning incense, of acacia wood, shalt thou make it:
2 Ayant une coudée de longueur, et une de largeur, c’est-à-dire carré, et deux coudées en hauteur. Des cornes en sortiront.
a cubit, the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof four square, shall it be, —and two cubits, the height thereof, of the same, [shall be] the horns thereof,
3 Or, tu le revêtiras d’un or très pur, tant la grille que les parois tout autour, et les cornes. Et tu y feras une couronne d’or tout autour,
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold the top thereof, and the sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof, -and thou shalt make to it a border of gold round about.
4 Et deux anneaux d’or sous la couronne, à chaque côté, pour qu’on y passe des leviers et que l’autel puisse être porté.
And, two rings of gold, shalt thou make to it, under the border thereof upon the two corners thereof, shalt thou make them on the two sides thereof, —so shall they become receptacles for the staves, to lift it therewith.
5 Et les leviers eux-mêmes tu les feras de bois de sétim, et tu les doreras.
And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, —and overlay them with gold.
6 Et tu placeras l’autel contre le voile qui est suspendu devant l’arche de témoignage, devant le propitiatoire dont est couvert le témoignage, où je te parlerai.
And thou shalt place it before the veil, which is by the ark of the testimony, —before the propitiatory which is upon the testimony, where I will meet thee.
7 Et Aaron y brûlera le matin un parfum, exhalant une odeur suave. Quand il apprêtera les lampes, il le brûlera;
And Aaron shall burn thereon fragrant incense, —morning by morning, when he trimmeth the lamps, shall he burn it;
8 Et quand il les placera vers le soir, il brûlera un parfum perpétuel devant le Seigneur en vos générations.
and, when Aaron lighteth the lamps, between the evenings, shall he burn it, —a continual incense before Yahweh, to your generations.
9 Vous n’offrirez sur cet autel, ni parfum d’une autre composition, ni oblation, ni victime; et vous n’y ferez point de libations.
Ye shall not cause to ascend thereupon strange incense, nor an ascending-sacrifice, nor a meal-offering, —and a drink offering, shall ye not pour out thereupon.
10 Et Aaron fera des expiations sur les cornes de l’autel une fois par an, en y répandant le sang de la victime qui a été offerte pour le péché, et il conciliera à l’autel la faveur du Seigneur dans vos générations. Ce sera une chose très sainte pour le Seigneur.
But Aaron shall put a propitiatory-covering upon the horns thereof, once in the year: of the blood of the sin-bearer for propitiatory-coverings, once in the year, shall he put a propitiatory-covering thereupon to your generations, most holy, it is to Yahweh.
11 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
12 Quand tu auras fait le dénombrement des enfants d’Israël, ils donneront chacun un prix au Seigneur pour leurs âmes, et il n’y aura point de plaie parmi eux, lorsqu’ils auront été recensés.
When thou takest the sum of the sons of Israel, by their numberings, then shall they give every man a propitiatory-covering for his soul to Yahweh, when they are numbered, —that there may be among them no plague when they are numbered.
13 Or voici ce que donnera quiconque aura présenté son nom: un demi-sicle selon la mesure du temple. Le sicle a vingt oboles. La moitié d’un sicle sera offerte au Seigneur.
This, shall they give—every one that passeth over to them that have been numbered—a half-shekel by the shekel of the sanctuary, —the shekel is twenty gerahs—the half-shekel, shall be a heave-offering to Yahweh.
14 Celui qui est compris dans le dénombrement, depuis vingt ans et au-dessus donnera ce prix.
All who pass over to the numbered, from twenty years old and upwards, shall give the heave-offering of Yahweh.
15 Le riche n’ajoutera point à la moitié d’un sicle, et le pauvre n’y diminuera rien.
The rich, shall not give more, and the poor, shall not give less, than the half-shekel, —when they give the heave-offering of Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
16 Et l’argent reçu qui aura été apporté par les enfants d’Israël, tu le donneras pour les usages du tabernacle de témoignage, afin qu’il soit un souvenir d’eux devant le Seigneur et que le Seigneur se montre propice à leurs âmes.
So then thou shalt take the silver for the propitiatory-coverings from the sons of Israel, and shalt expend it upon the service of the tent of meeting, —thus shall it be for the sons of Israel as a memorial before Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over your souls.
17 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse, disant:
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
18 Tu feras aussi un bassin d’airain avec sa base pour se laver, et tu le placeras entre le tabernacle de témoignage et l’autel. Or, de l’eau ayant été mise,
And thou shalt make a laver of bronze, and its stand of bronze for bathing, —and thou shalt place it between the tent of meeting and the altar, and shalt put therein water.
19 Aaron et ses fils y laveront leurs mains et leurs pieds,
So shall Aaron and his sons bathe thereat, —their hands, and their feet.
20 Quand ils devront entrer dans le tabernacle de témoignage, et quand ils devront s’approcher de l’autel pour y offrir un parfum à brûler au Seigneur,
When they enter the tent of meeting, they shall bathe with water so shall they not die, —or when they approach unto the altar to minister, to burn as incense an altar-flame to Yahweh:
21 De peur qu’ils ne meurent. Ce sera une loi perpétuelle pour Aaron et sa postérité durant ses successions.
so then they shall bathe their hands and their feet and shall not die, —and it shall be to them an age-abiding statute, to him and to his seed to their generations.
22 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse,
Then spake Yahweh unto Moses, saying—
23 Disant: Prends des aromates, cinq cents sicles de myrrhe, première et choisie, et la moitié moins de cinnamome, c’est-à-dire, deux cent cinquante sicles, et pareillement deux cent cinquante sicles de canne;
Thou, therefore, take to thee—principal spices, —self-flowing myrrh, five hundred, and fragrant cinnamon, half as much, two hundred and fifty, and, fragrant cane, two hundred and fifty;
24 Cinq cents sicles de casse au poids du sanctuaire et une mesure de hin d’huile d’olive;
and, cassia, five hundred, by the shekel of the sanctuary, —and, oil olive, a hin.
25 Et tu feras de l’huile sainte d’onction, essence composée selon l’art d’un parfumeur.
And thou shalt make it an oil for holy anointing, a compounded perfume the work of a perfumer, —an oil for holy anointing, shall it be.
26 Puis tu en oindras le tabernacle de témoignage, l’arche du testament,
And thou shalt anoint therewith the tent of meeting, —and the ark of the testimony;
27 La table avec ses vases, le chandelier et ses ustensiles, les autels du parfum à brûler,
and the table and all its utensils, and the lampstand, and its utensils, —and the incense altar,
28 Et de l’holocauste, et tous les objets qui appartiennent à leur service.
and the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and all its utensils, -and the laver, and its stand.
29 Et tu sanctifieras toutes ces choses, et elles seront très saintes: celui qui les touchera sera sanctifié.
So shalt thou hallow them, and they shall be most holy, —whosoever toucheth them, shall be holy.
30 Tu oindras Aaron et ses fils, et tu les sanctifieras, afin qu’ils exercent les fonctions du sacerdoce pour moi.
Aaron also, and his sons, shalt thou anoint, —so shalt thou hallow them to minister as priests unto me.
31 Et aux enfants d’Israël aussi tu diras: Cette huile d’onction me sera consacrée en vos générations.
And unto the sons of Israel, shalt thou speak, saying, An oil for holy anointing, shall this be to me, to your generations.
32 Aucune chair d’homme n’en sera ointe, et tu n’en feras point d’autre selon sa composition, parce qu’elle a été sanctifiée, et elle sera sainte pour vous.
Upon the flesh of a common man, shall it not be poured, and according to the proportions thereof, shall ye not make any like it, —holy, it is, holy, shall it be to you.
33 Un homme quelconque qui en composera de pareille et qui en donnera à un étranger, sera exterminé du milieu de son peuple.
Whosoever compoundeth any like it, and whosoever bestoweth thereof upon a stranger, shall be cut off from among his people.
34 Le Seigneur dit encore à Moïse: Prends des aromates, du si acte, de l’onyx, du galbanum odoriférant et de l’encens le plus luisant, toutes ces choses seront de même poids,
Then said Yahweh unto Moses—Take to thee aromatic spices stacte and onycha, and galbanum, —aromatic spices, and pure frankincense, —weight for weight, shall it be.
35 Et tu feras un parfum à brûler composé selon l’art d’un parfumeur, mêlé avec soin, pur et très digne de sanctification.
And thou shalt make of it an incense, a perfume the work of a perfumer, —salted, pure, holy.
36 Et lorsqu’en les broyant tu auras réduit toutes ces choses en une poudre très fine, tu en mettras devant le tabernacle de témoignage, dans lequel lieu je t’apparaîtrai. Ce sera pour vous un très saint parfum à brûler.
And thou shalt beat some of it to powder, and place thereof before the testimony, in the tent of meeting, where I am to meet with thee, —most holy, shall it be to you.
37 Vous ne ferez point de pareille composition pour votre usage, parce que c’est une chose sainte pour le Seigneur.
And the incense which thou shalt make, according to the proportions thereof, ye shall not make for yourselves, —holy, shall it be to thee, to Yahweh.
38 Un homme quelconque qui en fera de semblable pour en respirer avec plaisir l’odeur, périra du milieu de ses peuples.
Whosoever shall make like it, to smell of it shall be cut off from among his people.
