Apocalypse 20
1 Et je vis descendre du ciel un ange, tenant à la main la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne. (Abyssos g12)
And I saw an Angel, descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a great chain. (Abyssos g12)
2 Et il saisit le Dragon, le Serpent antique, c'est-à-dire le Diable, Satan, et le lia pour mille ans,
And he apprehended the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and he bound him for a thousand years.
3 et le précipita dans l'abîme, et en ferma l'entrée sur lui, et la scella d'un sceau pour qu'il n'égarât plus les nations jusqu'à ce que les mille ans fussent accomplis. Après cela, il doit être délivré pour quelque temps. (Abyssos g12)
And he cast him into the abyss, and he closed and sealed it, so that he would no longer seduce the nations, until the thousand years are completed. And after these things, he must be released for a brief time. (Abyssos g12)
4 Et je vis des trônes, et sur eux s'assirent des personnages qui furent chargés d'un jugement. Et je vis les âmes de ceux qui avaient été frappés de la hache à cause du témoignage de Jésus et de la parole de Dieu, et les âmes de ceux qui n'avaient adoré ni la bête ni son image et qui n'avaient point reçu son signe ni sur leur front ni sur leurs mains. Et ils vécurent et régnèrent mille ans avec le Christ.
And I saw thrones. And they sat upon them. And judgment was given to them. And the souls of those beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not adore the beast, nor his image, nor accept his character on their foreheads or on their hands: they lived and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5 (Les autres morts ne vécurent pas avant que les mille ans fussent accomplis.) C'est la première résurrection.
The rest of the dead did not live, until the thousand years are completed. This is the First Resurrection.
6 Heureux et saints ceux qui participent à la première résurrection. Sur eux la seconde mort n'a point de pouvoir; mais ils seront prêtres de Dieu et du Christ et régneront mille ans avec lui.
Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the First Resurrection. Over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him for a thousand years.
7 Et quand les mille ans seront accomplis, Satan sera délivré de sa prison,
And when the thousand years will have been completed, Satan shall be released from his prison,
8 et il en sortira pour égarer les nations aux quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog, et les conduire au combat, armées aussi nombreuses que le sable de la mer.
and he will go out and seduce the nations which are upon the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. And he will gather them together for battle, those whose number is like the sand of the sea.
9 Et elles se répandirent sur la surface de la terre, et assiégèrent le camp des saints, la cité aimée; mais le feu du ciel descendit sur elles et les dévora;
And they climbed across the breadth of the earth, and they encompassed the camp of the Saints and the Beloved City. And fire from God descended from heaven and devoured them.
11 Et je vis un grand trône blanc et Celui qui y était assis. A sa vue le ciel et la terre s'enfuirent, et il n'y eut plus nulle part de place pour eux.
And I saw a great white throne, and One sitting upon it, from whose sight earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.
12 Et je vis les morts, grands et petits, comparaissant devant le trône, et des livres furent ouverts. On ouvrit aussi un autre livre, le livre de vie. Et les morts furent jugés selon leurs oeuvres, d'après ce qui était écrit dans ces livres.
And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in view of the throne. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by those things that had been written in the books, according to their works.
13 Et la mer rendit les morts qu'elle renfermait; et la Mort et la Demeure-des-morts rendirent les morts qu'ils renfermaient, et tous furent jugés selon leurs oeuvres. (Hadēs g86)
And the sea gave up the dead who were in it. And death and Hell gave up their dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. (Hadēs g86)
