Apocalypse 20

1 Et je vis un ange descendre du ciel, tenant la clef de l'abîme et une grande chaîne dans sa main. (Abyssos g12)

And I saw an Angel, descending from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the abyss and a great chain. (Abyssos g12)

2 Et il se saisit du dragon, l'ancien serpent, qui est le diable et Satan, et il le lia pour mille ans;

And he apprehended the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and he bound him for a thousand years.

3 et il le jeta dans l'abîme, et il l'enferma et le scella d'une manière permanente, afin qu'il n'égarât plus les nations, jusques à ce que les mille ans eussent été accomplis: après cela il faut qu'il soit délié pour un peu de temps. (Abyssos g12)

And he cast him into the abyss, and he closed and sealed it, so that he would no longer seduce the nations, until the thousand years are completed. And after these things, he must be released for a brief time. (Abyssos g12)

4 Et je vis des trônes; et ils s'assirent dessus, et il leur fut donné d'exercer le jugement; et je vis aussi les âmes de ceux auxquels on a fait la guerre à cause du témoignage de Jésus et de la parole de Dieu, et ceux entre autres qui n'ont point adoré la bête ni son image, et qui n'ont pas reçu sa marque sur leur front ni sur leur main; et ils vécurent et ils régnèrent avec le Christ pendant mille ans.

And I saw thrones. And they sat upon them. And judgment was given to them. And the souls of those beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus and because of the Word of God, and who did not adore the beast, nor his image, nor accept his character on their foreheads or on their hands: they lived and they reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

5 Les autres morts ne vécurent point jusques à ce que les mille ans eussent été accomplis. C'est là la première résurrection.

The rest of the dead did not live, until the thousand years are completed. This is the First Resurrection.

6 Heureux et saint celui qui a part à la première résurrection! La seconde mort n'a aucune autorité sur eux, mais ils seront prêtres de Dieu et du Christ, et ils règnent avec lui pendant mille ans.

Blessed and holy is he who takes part in the First Resurrection. Over these the second death has no power. But they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him for a thousand years.

7 Et, quand les mille ans auront été accomplis, Satan sera élargi de sa prison,

And when the thousand years will have been completed, Satan shall be released from his prison,

8 et il sortira pour égarer les nations qui sont aux quatre coins de la terre, Gog et Magog, pour les rassembler pour la guerre, eux dont le nombre est comme le sable de la mer.

and he will go out and seduce the nations which are upon the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog. And he will gather them together for battle, those whose number is like the sand of the sea.

9 Et ils montèrent sur la largeur de la terre, et ils investirent le camp des saints et la ville bien-aimée, et du feu descendit du ciel et il les consuma;

And they climbed across the breadth of the earth, and they encompassed the camp of the Saints and the Beloved City. And fire from God descended from heaven and devoured them.

10 et le diable qui les égare fut jeté dans l'étang de feu et de soufre, où sont aussi la bête et le faux prophète, et ils seront tourmentés jour et nuit aux siècles des siècles. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And the devil, who seduced them, was cast into the pool of fire and sulphur, where both the beast and the false prophetess shall be tortured, day and night, forever and ever. (aiōn g165, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

11 Et je vis un grand trône blanc et Celui qui y était assis; de devant la face duquel s'enfuirent la terre et le ciel, et pour eux on ne trouva pas de place.

And I saw a great white throne, and One sitting upon it, from whose sight earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them.

12 Et je vis les morts, les grands et les petits, se tenant debout devant le trône, et des livres furent ouverts; et un autre livre fut ouvert, qui est le livre de vie, et les morts furent jugés selon leurs œuvres d'après ce qui est écrit dans les livres;

And I saw the dead, great and small, standing in view of the throne. And books were opened. And another Book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by those things that had been written in the books, according to their works.

13 et la mer rendit les morts qu'elle renferme, et la mort et le séjour des morts rendirent les morts qu'ils renferment, et ils furent jugés chacun selon leurs œuvres. (Hadēs g86)

And the sea gave up the dead who were in it. And death and Hell gave up their dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. (Hadēs g86)

14 Et la mort et le séjour des morts furent jetés dans l'étang de feu. C'est là la seconde mort, l'étang de feu. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And Hell and death were cast into the pool of fire. This is the second death. (Hadēs g86, Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

15 Et quiconque ne fut pas trouvé inscrit dans le livre de vie fut jeté dans l'étang de feu. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)

And whoever was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the pool of fire. (Limnē Pyr g3041 g4442)
