Psaumes 69
1 Au maître chantre. En schoschanim. De David. Sauve-moi, ô Dieu, car les eaux m'envahissent au péril de ma vie!
O God, save me, because [I am in great danger]. [It is as though] flood water is up to my neck, [and I am about to drown] [MET].
2 Je suis plongé dans un bourbier profond, où je ne puis prendre pied; je suis enfoncé dans les eaux profondes, et les flots me submergent.
I continue to sink in the deep mud, and there is no solid ground for me to stand on. I am in deep water, and flood waters are swirling around me.
3 Je suis las à force de crier, mon gosier est brûlant; mes yeux se consument, dans l'attente de mon Dieu.
I am exhausted from calling out [for help]; my throat is very dry. Because I have cried so much as I have waited for God [to help me], my eyes are swollen.
4 Ceux qui me sont gratuitement hostiles, surpassent en nombre les cheveux de ma tête; mes destructeurs, mes fourbes ennemis se sont renforcés; je dois restituer ce que je n'ai point dérobé.
Those who hate me when there is no reason to hate me are more than the number of hairs on my head [HYP]! Those who want to get rid of me are strong, and they tell lies about me. They demand that I return to them things that I did not steal!
5 O Dieu, tu connais ma folie, et mes délits ne te sont point cachés.
O God, (you see the sins that I have committed/my sins are not hidden from you). You know that I have foolishly [disobeyed your laws].
6 Ne permets pas que je sois une cause de confusion pour ceux qui se confient en toi, Seigneur, Éternel des armées, ni une cause de honte pour tes adorateurs, Dieu d'Israël!
O Yahweh God, [you who are the commander] of the armies [of heaven], do not allow the [wrong things that] I [have done] to cause those who trust in you to be disappointed/disillusioned. O God, you whom [we] Israeli people [worship], do not allow me to cause your people to be humiliated.
7 Car c'est à cause de toi que je souffre l'opprobre, et que la honte recouvre mon visage.
People have insulted/ridiculed me because [I am devoted to] you. They have thoroughly humiliated [IDM] me.
8 Je suis devenu un étranger pour mes frères, un inconnu pour les fils de ma mère.
Even my own [older] brothers act as if they do not know me; they treat me like a foreigner.
9 Car le zèle de ta maison me consume, et les outrages de ceux qui t'outragent, tombent sur moi.
[Some people have despised your temple]; but my zeal for [keeping] your temple [holy] is like a fire burning inside me. So [it is as though] those who are insulting you are also insulting me.
10 Et je pleure et je jeûne; mais cela me tourne à opprobre;
When I have humbled myself and (fasted/abstained from eating food) [to show my sadness about the disgraceful things that they have done to your temple], they just insult me.
11 et je prends pour habit le cilice, par là je donne lieu à leurs satires.
When I put on [rough] sackcloth [to show that I am sad], they laugh at [IDM] me.
12 Je suis l'entretien de ceux qui sont assis aux Portes, et ils disent contre moi les chansons des buveurs.
Even the elders [of the city] say bad things about me. The drunkards of the city sing [disgusting] songs about me.
13 Cependant ma prière s'élève à toi, Éternel! Que le temps soit propice, ô Dieu, par ta grande bonté! Exauce-moi par ta fidélité secourable!
But Yahweh, I will [continue] praying to you. At the time that you choose, answer me and rescue me because you faithfully love me.
14 Retire-moi du bourbier, et ne m'y laisse pas enfoncer! Que je sois sauvé de mes ennemis, et du gouffre des eaux!
Do not allow me to sink any more in the mud. Rescue me from those who hate me! Lift me up out of these deep waters!
15 Ne me laisse pas submerger par les flots, ni engloutir par l'abîme; et que le puits ne referme pas sa bouche sur moi!
Do not allow flood waters to swirl around me, do not allow the deep [mud] to swallow me; keep me from sinking into the pit [of death] [MET].
16 Exauce-moi, Éternel, car ta grâce est excellente: en tes grandes compassions tourne les yeux vers moi,
O Yahweh, answer my prayer and help me because you are good and love me faithfully.
17 et ne cache pas ta face à ton serviteur! Car je suis angoissé; hâte-toi, réponds-moi!
Do not (hide yourself from/refuse to hear) me; answer me quickly because I am in great trouble.
18 Rapproche-toi de mon âme, rachète-là! A cause de mes ennemis sauve-moi!
Come near to me and save me; rescue me from my enemies.
19 Tu connais mon opprobre, et ma honte, et mon ignominie, tu as sous les yeux tous mes adversaires.
You know that I am insulted and that [people cause] me [to feel] ashamed and dishonored; you know [who] all my enemies [are].
20 Les outrages ont brisé mon cœur, et je suis malade; j'attends de la pitié, et il n'en est point pour moi, et des consolateurs, et je n'en trouve aucun.
[Their] insults have deeply offended me, and I (feel helpless/am in despair). I searched for [someone who would] pity [me], but there was no one. I wanted someone to encourage/comfort me, but there were none.
21 Ils mettent du fiel dans ma nourriture, et pour calmer ma soif, ils m'abreuvent de vinaigre.
[Instead], they gave me food [that tasted like] poison, and when I was thirsty, they gave me sour wine to drink.
22 Que leur propre table leur soit un piège, et un filet dans leur sécurité!
I hope/desire that the feasts [MTY] [that they enjoy] will (become a snare for/bring trouble to) them, and that [those whom they invite to] the sacrificial feasts will also be trapped.
23 Que leurs yeux obscurcis cessent de voir! et fais que leurs reins toujours soient mal affermis!
I hope/desire that their eyesight will become dim so that they cannot see anything, and that their backs/bodies will become weaker and weaker.
24 Verse sur eux ta colère, et que le feu de ton courroux les atteigne!
Show them that you are very angry with them! Because of your great/furious anger, chase after them and catch them.
25 Que leurs campements soient désolés, et qu'en leurs tentes il n'y ait point d'habitants!
Cause their towns to become abandoned/deserted and that there will be no one left to live in their tents/houses.
26 Car ils persécutent celui que tu as frappé, et ils narrent les douleurs de ceux que tu as percés.
[Do this] because they persecute those whom you have punished, (they talk about the sins of/they want to hurt even more) those whom you have wounded.
27 Fais qu'ils ajoutent crime à crime, et qu'ils n'arrivent pas à ta justice!
Keep making a record of all their sins, do not acquit/pardon them [for the evil things that they have done].
28 Qu'ils soient effacés du livre des vivants, et qu'avec les justes ils ne soient point inscrits!
Erase their names [SYN] from the book [containing the names of those who have eternal] life; do not include them in the list of righteous people.
29 Cependant je suis affligé et souffrant: ton secours, ô Dieu, me mettra en lieu sûr.
As for me, I have pain and am suffering. O God, protect me and rescue me.
30 Je louerai le nom de Dieu par des chants, et je le magnifierai par des actions de grâces:
When God does that, I will sing as I praise God, and I will honor him by thanking him.
31 elles plairont plus à Dieu que des taureaux, que des taureaux ayant cornes et sabots.
My doing that will please Yahweh more than [sacrificing] oxen, more than offering him full-grown bulls.
32 Les affligés le verront et seront réjouis. Que votre cœur revive, à vous qui cherchez Dieu!
Oppressed/Afflicted people will see [that God has rescued me], and they will be glad. I want all of you who ask God [to help you] to be encouraged.
33 Car l'Éternel écoute les pauvres, et Il ne dédaigne point ses captifs.
Yahweh listens to those who are needy; He does not ignore/forget those who are oppressed/imprisoned.
34 Qu'il soit loué par le ciel et par la terre, par les mers, et tout ce qui se meut en elles!
I desire that everything will praise God— everything that is in heaven and on earth, and all the creatures that are in the seas.
35 Car Dieu sauvera Sion, et relèvera les villes de Juda, qui sera habitée, et qui sera recouvrée,
God will rescue the people of Jerusalem [from their enemies], and he will rebuild the towns that are in Judah. His people will live there and [again] possess the land.
36 et la race de ses serviteurs l'aura pour héritage, et ceux qui aiment son nom, l'auront pour demeure.
The descendants of his people will inherit it, and those who love him will live there [safely].
