Psaumes 63
1 Cantique de David, lorsqu'il était dans le désert de Juda. O Dieu! tu es mon Dieu, c'est toi que je cherche; mon âme a soif de toi, ma chair languit après toi, comme une terre aride, altérée, privée d'eau.
A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 Ainsi, mes regards te suivent dans le Sanctuaire, pour contempler ta gloire et ta magnificence;
To see thy power and thy glory, so [as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 car ta grâce est meilleure que la vie: mes lèvres te glorifient.
Because thy lovingkindness [is] better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Ainsi, je te loue durant ma vie. c'est en ton nom que j'élève mes mains.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
5 Mon âme est rassasiée comme de moelle et de graisse, et d'une voix d'allégresse ma bouche te célèbre.
My soul shall be satisfied as [with] marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips:
6 Quand ta pensée me revient sur ma couche, c'est sur toi que je médite durant les veilles.
When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.
7 Car tu es mon secours, et je me réjouis à l'ombre de tes ailes;
Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.
8 mon âme s'attache à toi, ta droite me soutient.
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
9 Mais ceux qui, pour me perdre, attentent à ma vie, tomberont dans les profondeurs de la terre.
But those [that] seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
10 Ils seront livrés à l'épée, et deviendront la proie des chacals.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
11 Et le Roi aura en Dieu une cause d'allégresse, et quiconque jure par Lui, fera éclater sa joie, quand les menteurs auront la bouche fermée.
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
