Psaumes 43

1 Fais-moi justice, ô Dieu, et soutiens ma querelle contre un peuple impitoyable! Sauve-moi de l'homme fourbe et pervers,

Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.

2 car tu es mon Dieu tutélaire! Pourquoi me rejettes-tu? Pourquoi vais-je menant deuil sous l'oppression de l'ennemi?

For thou [art] the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

3 Envoie-moi ta lumière et ta vérité, afin qu'elles me guident, et qu'elles m'amènent à ta montagne sainte et dans tes demeures,

O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

4 pour que je parvienne à l'autel de Dieu, auprès d'un Dieu qui excite les transports de ma joie, et que je te chante avec la harpe, ô Dieu, ô mon Dieu!

Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.

5 Pourquoi t'abats-tu, mon âme, et gémis-tu au dedans de moi? Espère en Dieu, je le louerai encore, lui, mon Sauveur et mon Dieu.

Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, [who is] the health of my countenance, and my God.
