Psaumes 125

1 Cantique graduel. Ceux qui se confient dans l'Éternel, sont comme la montagne de Sion, elle est inébranlable et stable éternellement.

Those/We who trust in Yahweh are [as secure/steadfast] [SIM] as Zion Hill, which cannot be shaken and can never be moved.

2 Des montagnes entourent Jérusalem: ainsi l'Éternel entoure son peuple dès maintenant à jamais.

Like the hills that surround Jerusalem [protect the city], Yahweh protects [us], his people, and he will protect us forever.

3 Car le sceptre de l'impie ne restera pas sur le lot des justes, afin que les justes ne portent pas leurs mains au mal.

Wicked people [MTY] should not [be allowed to] rule over the land where righteous [people] live. If they did that, those righteous [people] might [(be encouraged to imitate them and]) do things that are wrong.

4 Éternel, fais du bien aux hommes de bien, et à ceux qui sont droits en leurs cœurs!

Yahweh, do good things to those who do good things to others and to those who sincerely obey your commands [IDM].

5 Pour ceux qui dévient et prennent des voies tortueuses, que l'Éternel les perde avec les artisans du crime! Paix soit à Israël!

But when you punish the wicked people [who are not Israelis], also punish those [Israelis] who turn away from walking on the good roads [MET] that you have shown them! I wish that things will go well for [people in] Israel!
