Luc 13
1 Or, en ce moment même, quelques personnes vinrent lui faire un rapport sur ces Galiléens, dont Pilate avait mêlé le sang avec celui de leurs victimes.
NOW at that time came some and told him of the Galiloyee, they whose blood Pilatos had mingled with their sacrifices.
2 Et il leur répliqua: « Vous imaginez-vous que ces Galiléens fussent plus pécheurs que tout le reste des Galiléens, parce qu'ils ont souffert de la sorte?
Jeshu answered and said to them, Think you that these Galiloyee were sinners more than all the Galiloyee, that thus it was (with) them?
3 Non, vous dis-je, mais si vous ne vous repentez, vous périrez tous de même.
No; but I tell you that all of you also, if you repent not, will thus perish.
4 Ou bien, ces dix-huit individus sur lesquels est tombée la tour dans les environs de Siloam, et qui en sont morts, vous imaginez-vous qu'ils fussent plus coupables que tous les hommes qui habitent Jérusalem?
Or those eighteen on whom fell the tower in Silucha, and killed them; think you that they were sinners above all men who dwell in Urishlem?
5 Non, vous dis-je, mais si vous ne vous repentez, vous périrez tous de la même manière. »
No; but I tell you that, if you repent not, all of you likewise shall perish.
6 Or il disait cette parabole: « Quelqu'un possédait un figuier planté dans sa vigne, et il vint y chercher du fruit et n'en trouva pas;
And he spake this parable: A man had a fig-tree which was planted in his vinery: and he came and sought fruits on it, but did not find.
7 or il dit au vigneron: « Voici trois ans que je viens chercher du fruit sur ce figuier et que je n'en trouve point; coupe-le; pourquoi occupe-t-il encore inutilement la place? »
And he said to the husbandman, Behold, three years come I seeking fruits from this fig-tree, but I have not found: cut it down; why maketh it the ground useless?
8 Mais l'autre lui répliqua: « Seigneur, laisse-le encore cette année, jusques à ce que j'aie creusé alentour et que j'y aie mis du fumier;
The husbandman saith to him, My lord, suffer it also this year, until I tend it and manure it:
9 peut-être portera-t-il du fruit l'an qui vient; autrement tu le feras couper. »
and if it produce fruits, (well): but if not, then afterwards I will cut it down.
10 Or il enseignait dans une des synagogues le jour du sabbat;
AS Jeshu was teaching on a shabath in one of the synagogues,
11 et voici une femme possédée depuis dix-huit ans d'un esprit qui la rendait infirme, en sorte qu'elle se tenait courbée sans pouvoir se redresser du tout.
a woman was there who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years; and she was bowed down, and could not be straight at all.
12 Mais Jésus l'ayant vue, l'appela et lui dit: « Femme, sois délivrée de ton infirmité! »
But Jeshu saw her, and called her, and said to her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
13 Et il lui imposa les mains, et immédiatement elle se redressa, et elle glorifiait Dieu.
And he laid his hand upon her; and at once she was made straight, and glorified Aloha.
14 Mais le chef de la synagogue indigné de ce que Jésus avait opéré une guérison le jour du sabbat, disait à la foule: « Il y a six jours pendant lesquels il faut travailler, venez donc vous faire guérir ces jours-là, et non pas le jour du sabbat. »
But the chief of the synagogue answered, being angry that Jeshu had healed on the shabath, and said to the congregation, Six days there are in which it is lawful to work: in them come and be healed, and not on the day of shabath.
15 Mais le Seigneur lui répliqua: « Hypocrites, est-ce que chacun de vous ne détache pas de la crèche son bœuf ou son âne le jour du sabbat, pour le mener boire?
But Jeshu answered and said to him, Hypocrite, doth not any one of you on the shabath loose his ox or his ass from the manger, and going giveth to drink?
16 Et celle-ci, qui est une fille d'Abraham, et que Satan tenait liée voici dix-huit ans, il ne fallait pas la détacher de cette chaîne le jour du sabbat! »
But this daughter of Abraham, whom, behold, the Accuser hath bound eighteen years, is it not lawful to loose from this binding on the day of shabath?
17 Et pendant qu'il parlait ainsi tous ses adversaires étaient couverts de confusion, et toute la foule se réjouissait de toutes les merveilles opérées par lui.
And as he said these things, ashamed were all they who had risen up against him; and all the people rejoiced in all these wonders that were done by his hand.
18 Il disait donc: « A quoi ressemble le royaume de Dieu, et à quoi le comparerai-je?
Jeshu said, What doth the kingdom of Aloha resemble, and to what shall I compare it?
19 Il est semblable à un grain de moutarde, qu'un homme a pris et jeté dans son jardin, et il a crû et il est devenu un arbre, et les oiseaux du ciel se sont abrités dans ses branches. »
It resembles a grain of mustard, which a man took (and) cast into his garden: and it grew, and became a great tree; and the fowl of the heaven built in its branches.
20 Et il dit derechef: « A quoi comparerai-je le royaume de Dieu?
Jeshu said again, To what shall I compare the kingdom of Aloha?
21 Il est semblable à du levain qu'une femme a pris et pétri dans trois mesures de farine, jusques à ce que le tout fût levé. »
It is like leaven which a woman took; (and) hid in three satas of meal, until all had leavened.
22 Et il traversait villes et villages, enseignant et faisant route vers Jérusalem.
And he journeyed, teaching in the villages and in the cities, and going forwards to Urishlem.
23 Or quelqu'un lui dit: « Seigneur, ceux qui sont sauvés, sont-ils en petit nombre? » Mais il leur dit:
ONE had demanded (of) him if they are few who are saved. But Jeshu said to them,
24 « Efforcez-vous d'entrer par la porte étroite, car beaucoup, je vous le déclare, chercheront à entrer et ne le pourront pas.
Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for I say to you that many will seek to enter in, but shall not be able.
25 Dès que le chef, de famille se sera levé et aura fermé la porte, et que vous commencerez à vous tenir dehors et à heurter à la porte, en disant: « Seigneur, ouvre-nous, » et qu'il vous répliquera: « Je ne sais pas d'où vous êtes, »
From the hour that the Lord of the house shall have risen up and have shut the door, you may stand without, knocking at the door, and may begin to say, Our Lord, our Lord, open to us! But he will answer and say, I tell you that I know not whence you are.
26 alors vous vous mettrez à dire: « Nous mangions et nous buvions en ta présence, et c'est dans nos rues que tu as enseigné. »
And you shall begin to say, Before thee we have eaten and drunk, and in our streets thou hast taught.
27 Et il vous dira: « Je ne sais d'où vous êtes; éloignez-vous de moi, vous tous qui êtes des ouvriers d'iniquité. »
And he shall say to you, I know you not whence you are: depart from me, workers of falsity.
28 Là sera le pleur et le grincement des dents, lorsque vous verrez Abraham et Isaac et Jacob et tous les prophètes dans le royaume de Dieu, tandis que vous serez, exclus.
There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you shall see Abraham and Ishok and Jakub and all the prophets in the kingdom of Aloha, but you be cast forth without.
29 Et il en viendra d'orient et d'occident, et du nord et du midi, et ils se mettront à table dans le royaume de Dieu.
And they shall come from the east, and from the west, and from the south, and from the north, and shall recline in the kingdom of Aloha.
30 Et voici, il y en a des derniers qui seront des premiers, et il y en a des premiers qui seront des derniers. »
And, behold, there are last who shall be first, and there are first who shall be last.
31 Au même moment quelques pharisiens survinrent qui lui dirent: « Sors, et éloigne-toi d'ici, car Hérode veut te faire périr. »
In that day came men from the Pharishee, saying to him, Remove, go from hence, because Herodes desireth to kill thee.
32 Et il leur dit: « Allez dire à ce renard: Voici, je chasse les démons, et j'opérerai des guérisons aujourd'hui et demain; et le troisième jour j'ai fini;
Jeshu saith to them, Go, tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils and perform cures to-day and to-morrow, and the third day I am perfected.
33 néanmoins il faut que je continue ma route aujourd'hui, demain, et le jour suivant, car il n'est pas reçu qu'un prophète meure hors de Jérusalem.
Nevertheless it behoveth me to-day and to-morrow to work and the (day) after I shall go; because it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Urishlem.
34 Jérusalem, Jérusalem, qui tue les prophètes et qui lapide ceux qui lui sont envoyés, que de fois j'ai voulu rassembler tes enfants comme une poule rassemble sa couvée sous ses ailes, et vous ne l'avez pas voulu!
Urishlem, Urishlem! killing the prophets, and stoning them that are sent to her, what times would I have gathered thy sons as the hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and you willed not!
35 Voici, votre demeure vous est laissée; mais, je vous le déclare, vous ne me verrez certainement plus jusques à ce que vous disiez: « Béni soit celui qui vient au nom du Seigneur! »
Behold, left to you is your house a desert; for I say to you, that you will not see me until you shall say, Blessed is he who cometh in the name of the Lord.
