Ézéchiel 30

1 Et la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

2 Fils de l'homme, prophétise et dis: Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Gémissez! malheur pour le jour!…

Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day!

3 car le jour approche, il approche le jour de l'Éternel! le moment des nations sera une sombre journée.

For the day [is] near, even the day of the LORD [is] near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen.

4 L'épée fond sur l'Egypte, et l'angoisse est en Ethiopie, quand les blessés tombent en Egypte, et qu'on emmène son peuple, et que ses fondements sont démolis.

And the sword shall come upon Egypt, and great pain shall be in Ethiopia, when the slain shall fall in Egypt, and they shall take away her multitude, and her foundations shall be broken down.

5 Éthiopiens et Libyens, et Lydiens, et tous les confédérés, et Chub et les fils des pays alliés, avec eux succomberont sous l'épée.

Ethiopia, and Libya, and Lydia, and all the mingled people, and Chub, and the men of the land that is in league, shall fall with them by the sword.

6 Ainsi parle l'Éternel: Ils succombent les appuis de l'Egypte, et elle est abattue son orgueilleuse puissance; de Migdol à Siène ils y périront par l'épée, dit le Seigneur, l'Éternel.

Thus saith the LORD; They also that uphold Egypt shall fall; and the pride of her power shall come down: from the tower of Syene shall they fall in it by the sword, saith the Lord GOD.

7 Ils seront dévastés entre les terres dévastées, et ses villes seront au nombre des villes en ruines;

And they shall be desolate in the midst of the countries [that are] desolate, and her cities shall be in the midst of the cities [that are] wasted.

8 et ils comprendront que je suis l'Éternel, quand je mettrai le feu à l'Egypte et que tous ses auxiliaires seront taillés en pièces.

And they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I have set a fire in Egypt, and [when] all her helpers shall be destroyed.

9 Dans ce jour-là des messagers s'en iront de par moi sur des navires porter l'épouvante dans l'Ethiopie en sécurité, et il y aura parmi eux de l'angoisse, comme à la journée de l'Egypte, car voici, elle arrive.

In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh.

10 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Je mettrai fin au peuple de l'Egypte par le bras de Nébucadnézar, roi de Babel.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also make the multitude of Egypt to cease by the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon.

11 Lui et son peuple avec lui, les plus violents des hommes, s'avancent pour ravager le pays, et ils tireront leurs épées contre l'Egypte, et rempliront le pays de morts;

He and his people with him, the terrible of the nations, shall be brought to destroy the land: and they shall draw their swords against Egypt, and fill the land with the slain.

12 et je mettrai les canaux à sec, et livrerai le pays aux mains d'hommes méchants, et je dévasterai le pays et ce qu'il contient par les bras d'étrangers. Moi, l'Éternel, je l'ai dit.

And I will make the rivers dry, and sell the land into the hand of the wicked: and I will make the land waste, and all that is therein, by the hand of strangers: I the LORD have spoken [it].

13 Ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Je détruirai les idoles, et anéantirai les faux dieux de Noph, et il n'y aura plus de princes du pays d'Egypte, et je répandrai la terreur sur le pays d'Egypte;

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause [their] images to cease out of Noph; and there shall be no more a prince of the land of Egypt: and I will put a fear in the land of Egypt.

14 et je dévasterai Pathros, et porterai le feu en Tsoan, et exercerai mes jugements sur No;

And I will make Pathros desolate, and will set fire in Zoan, and will execute judgments in No.

15 et je verserai ma colère sur Sin, le boulevard de l'Egypte, et j'exterminerai le peuple de No;

And I will pour my fury upon Sin, the strength of Egypt; and I will cut off the multitude of No.

16 et je porterai le feu en Egypte: Sin sera tremblante, et No forcée, et Noph en plein jour prise par l'ennemi;

And I will set fire in Egypt: Sin shall have great pain, and No shall be rent asunder, and Noph [shall have] distresses daily.

17 les jeunes hommes de On et de Bubaste périront par l'épée, et les femmes seront emmenées captives.

The young men of Aven and of Pi-beseth shall fall by the sword: and these [cities] shall go into captivity.

18 A Tachphanès le jour s'obscurcira, quand j'y briserai le joug de l'Egypte, et qu'il y sera mis fin à son orgueilleuse puissance: un noir nuage la couvrira, et ses filles seront emmenées captives.

At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as for her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity.

19 Ainsi j'exécuterai mes jugements sur l'Egypte et ils sauront que je suis l'Éternel.

Thus will I execute judgments in Egypt: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

20 Et la onzième année, le premier mois, le septième jour du mois, la parole de l'Éternel me fut adressée en ces mots:

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first [month], in the seventh [day] of the month, [that] the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

21 Fils de l'homme, j'ai rompu le bras de Pharaon, roi d'Egypte, et voici, il n'est point bandé, pour qu'on y applique des remèdes, y mette un bandage pour le serrer, afin qu'il ait la force de saisir une épée.

Son of man, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and, lo, it shall not be bound up to be healed, to put a roller to bind it, to make it strong to hold the sword.

22 C'est pourquoi ainsi parle le Seigneur, l'Éternel: Voici, j'en veux à Pharaon, roi d'Egypte, et je lui romprai les deux bras, celui qui est fort et celui qui est cassé, et je ferai tomber l'épée de sa main;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and will break his arms, the strong, and that which was broken; and I will cause the sword to fall out of his hand.

23 et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations et les disséminerai dans les pays divers.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and will disperse them through the countries.

24 Mais je donnerai force aux bras du roi de Babel et mettrai mon épée en sa main, et je briserai les bras de Pharaon, afin qu'il pousse devant lui les soupirs des blessés.

And I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and put my sword in his hand: but I will break Pharaoh’s arms, and he shall groan before him with the groanings of a deadly wounded [man].

25 Oui, je donnerai force aux bras du roi de Babel, mais les bras de Pharaon tomberont, afin qu'ils reconnaissent que je suis l'Éternel, quand je mettrai mon épée en la main du roi de Babel, afin qu'il l'étende sur le pays d'Egypte;

But I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon, and the arms of Pharaoh shall fall down; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD, when I shall put my sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall stretch it out upon the land of Egypt.

26 et je disperserai les Égyptiens parmi les nations, et les disséminerai dans les pays divers, afin qu'ils reconnaissent que je suis l'Éternel.

And I will scatter the Egyptians among the nations, and disperse them among the countries; and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.
