1 Quant aux classes des portiers, des Coraïtes: Méselmia, fils de Coré, d'entre les fils d'Asaph;
For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
2 et les fils de Méselmia: Zacharie, le premier-né, Jediaël, le second, Zebadia, le troisième, Jathniel, le quatrième,
Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
3 Eilam, le cinquième, Jochanan, le sixième, Elioeinaï, le septième;
Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.
4 et les fils d'Obed-Edom: Semaïa, le premier-né, Jozabad, le second, Joah, le troisième, et Sachar, le quatrième, et Nethaneël, le cinquième,
Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,
5 Ammiel, le sixième, Issaschar, le septième, Pehultaï, le huitième, car Dieu l'avait béni.
Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, and Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
6 Et à Semaïa, son fils, naquirent aussi des fils, princes dans la maison de leur père car c'étaient des hommes vaillants;
Sons were also born to Shemaiah his son, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.
7 fils de Semaïa: Othni et Rephaël et Obed, Edom, son frère, hommes vaillants, Elihu et Semachia.
The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose relatives were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
8 Tous ils étaient fils d'Obd-Edom; eux et leurs fils et frères étaient des hommes énergiques pour le service, soixante-deux issus d'Obed-Edom.
All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom with their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
9 Et les fils et frères de Méselmia, hommes vaillants, étaient au nombre de dix-huit.
Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, eighteen valiant men.
10 Et les fils de Hosa, des fils de Merari: Simri le chef (non qu'il fût le premier-né, mais son père l'avait fait chef),
Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),
11 Hilkia, le second, Tebalia, le troisième, Zacharie, le quatrième; tous les fils et frères de Hosa étaient au nombre de treize.
Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. All the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.
12 A ces classes de portiers, c'est-à-dire, aux chefs de ces hommes échut conjointement avec leurs frères la garde de service dans le Temple de l'Éternel.
Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the LORD’s house.
13 Et ils tirèrent au sort, petits et grands, selon leurs maisons patriarcales, chacune des portes.
They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.
14 Et le côté du Levant échut a Sélémia; et pour Zacharie, son fils, prudent conseiller, ils tirèrent aussi au sort, et il eut pour lot le Septentrion,
The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
15 le Midi fut pour Obed-Edom et pour ses fils, près des magasins,
To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.
16 pour Suppim et Hosa le Couchant, à la porte Sallécheth, où la voie monte, une garde étant à l'opposite de l'autre.
To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watchman opposite watchman.
17 L'Orient était gardé par six Lévites, le Nord journellement par quatre, le Midi journellement par quatre et les magasins par deux alternativement;
Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.
18 au portique ouvert du couchant quatre sur la rue, deux près du portique.
For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.
19 Telles sont les classes des portiers pris dans les fils des Coraïtes et dans les fils des Merarites.
These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
20 Et parmi les Lévites, Ahia était préposé sur les trésors de la Maison de Dieu et sur les trésors des objets consacrés.
Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
21 Les fils de Laëdan, des fils des Gersonites de Laëdan, patriarches [de la race de] Laëdan, le Gersonite Jehièli;
The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
22 les fils de Jehièli, Zétham et Joël, son frère, étaient préposés sur les trésors du Temple de l'Éternel.
The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the LORD’s house.
23 Des Amramites, des Jitseharites, des Hébronites, des Azzièlites.
Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:
24 Et Sebuel, fils de Gersom, fils de Moïse, était surintendant des trésors.
Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.
25 Et ses frères par Éliézer: lequel eut pour fils Rehabia, dont le fils fut Ésaïe qui eut pour fils Joram, dont le fils fut Sichri qui eut pour fils Salomith:
His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
26 ce Salomith et ses frères avaient l'intendance de tous les trésors des objets consacrés qu'avaient consacrés le roi David et les patriarches, les chefs de mille et de cent et les généraux de l'armée;
This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.
27 c'est à la suite des guerres et sur le butin qu'ils les avaient consacrés comme réserve pour le Temple de l'Éternel;
They dedicated some of the plunder won in battles to repair the LORD’s house.
28 et tout ce qui avait été consacré par Samuel, le Voyant, et par Saül, fils de Kis, et par Abner, fils de Ner, et par Joab, fils de Tseruïa, tous les objets consacrés étaient commis à Salomith et ses frères.
All that Samuel the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth and of his brothers.
29 Parmi les Jitseharites Chenania et ses fils étaient pour les affaires extérieures, préposés sur Israël comme Secrétaires et Juges.
Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were appointed to the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.
30 Parmi les Hébronites Hasabia et ses frères, hommes de ressource, au nombre de mille sept cents, avaient l'intendance d'Israël en deçà du Jourdain au couchant pour toutes les affaires de l'Éternel et le service du roi.
Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, one thousand seven hundred men of valor, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of the LORD and for the service of the king.
31 Parmi les Hébronites était Jeria le chef des Hébronites selon leurs familles et maisons patriarcales. (Dans la quarantième année du règne de David recherche en fut faite, et il se trouva parmi eux de vaillants héros à Jaëzer en Galaad).
Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the chief of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. They were sought for in the fortieth year of the reign of David, and mighty men of valor were found among them at Jazer of Gilead.
32 Et ses frères, hommes de ressource, étaient au nombre de deux mille sept cents, patriarches. Et le roi David les préposa sur les Rubénites et les Gadites et la demi-Tribu de Manassé pour toutes les affaires de Dieu et les affaires du roi.
His relatives, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom King David made overseers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.
