Psaumes 43

1 Fais-moi justice, ô Dieu! et soutiens mon droit contre la nation cruelle; délivre-moi de l'homme trompeur et pervers.

Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause, Against a nation, without lovingkindness, From the man of deceit and perversity, wilt thou deliver me?

2 Puisque tu es le Dieu de ma force, pourquoi m'as-tu rejeté? pourquoi marcherai-je en deuil à cause de l'oppression de l'ennemi?

For, thou, art my defending God—Wherefore hast thou rejected me? Wherefore in gloom should I wander, because of the oppression of an enemy?

3 Envoie ta lumière et ta vérité, afin qu'elles me conduisent [et] m'introduisent en la montagne de ta Sainteté, et en tes Tabernacles.

Send forth thy light and thy faithfulness, Let, them, lead me, Let them bring me into thy holy mountain, and into thy habitations:

4 Alors je viendrai à l'Autel de Dieu, vers le [Dieu] Fort de l'allégresse de ma joie, et je te célébrerai sur le violon, ô Dieu! mon Dieu!

That I may go in unto the altar of God, Unto GOD, mine exultant joy, —That I may praise thee with the lyre, O God—mine own God!

5 Mon âme, pourquoi t'abats-tu, et pourquoi frémis-tu au-dedans de moi? Attends-toi à Dieu; car je le célébrerai encore; il est ma délivrance, et mon Dieu.

Why shouldst thou be cast down, O my soul? And why shouldst thou moan over me, Wait thou for God, for yet shall I praise him, As the triumph of my presence, and my God.
