Psaumes 132

1 Cantique de Mahaloth. Ô Eternel! souviens-toi de David, [et] de toute son affliction.

A Song of Degrees. Lord, remember David, and all his meekness:

2 Lequel a juré à l'Eternel, [et] fait vœu au Puissant de Jacob, [en disant]:

how he sware to the Lord, [and] vowed to the God of Jacob, [saying],

3 Si j'entre au Tabernacle de ma maison, [et] si je monte sur le lit où je couche;

I will not go into the tabernacle of my house; I will not go up to the couch of my bed;

4 Si je donne du sommeil à mes yeux, [si je laisse] sommeiller mes paupières,

I will not give sleep to mine eyes, nor slumber to mine eyelids, nor rest to my temples,

5 Jusqu’à ce que j'aurai trouvé un lieu à l'Eternel, [et] des pavillons pour le Puissant de Jacob.

until I find a place for the Lord, a tabernacle for the God of Jacob.

6 Voici, nous avons ouï parler d'elle vers Ephrat, nous l'avons trouvée aux champs de Jahar.

Behold, we heard of it in Ephratha; we found it in the fields of the wood.

7 Nous entrerons dans ses pavillons, [et] nous nous prosternerons devant son marchepied.

Let us enter into his tabernacles: let us worship at the place where his feet stood.

8 Lève-toi, ô Eternel! [pour venir] en ton repos, toi, et l'Arche de ta force.

Arise, O Lord, into your rest; you, and the ark of your holiness.

9 Que tes Sacrificateurs soient revêtus de la justice, et que tes bien-aimés chantent de joie.

Your priests shall clothe themselves with righteousness; and your saints shall exult.

10 Pour l'amour de David ton serviteur, ne fais point que ton Oint tourne le visage en arrière.

For the sake of your servant David turn not away the face of your anointed.

11 L'Eternel a juré en vérité à David, [et] il ne se rétractera point, [disant]: je mettrai du fruit de ton ventre sur ton trône.

The Lord sware [in] truth to David, and he will not annul it, [saying], Of the fruit of your body will I set [a king] upon your throne.

12 Si tes enfants gardent mon alliance, et mon témoignage, que je leur enseignerai, leurs fils aussi seront assis à perpétuité sur ton trône.

If your children will deep my covenant, and these my testimonies which I shall teach them, their children also shall sit upon your throne for ever.

13 Car l'Eternel a choisi Sion; il l'a préférée pour être son siège.

For the Lord has elected Sion, he has chosen her for a habitation for himself, [saying],

14 Elle est, [dit-il], mon repos à perpétuité; j'y demeurerai, parce que je l'ai chérie.

This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have chosen it.

15 Je bénirai abondamment ses vivres; je rassasierai de pain ses pauvres.

I will surely bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Et je revêtirai ses Sacrificateurs de délivrance; et ses bien-aimés chanteront avec des transports.

I will clothe her priests with salvation; and her saints shall greatly exult.

17 Je ferai qu'en elle germera une corne à David; je préparerai une lampe à mon Oint.

There will I cause to spring up a horn to David: I have prepared a lamp for mine anointed.

18 Je revêtirai de honte ses ennemis, et son diadème fleurira sur lui.

His enemies will I clothe with a shame; but upon himself shall my holiness flourish.
