Isaïe 61
1 L'Esprit du Seigneur l'Eternel est sur moi, c'est pourquoi l'Eternel m'a oint pour évangéliser aux débonnaires, il m'a envoyé pour guérir ceux qui ont le cœur brisé, pour publier aux captifs la liberté, et aux prisonniers l'ouverture de la prison.
The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;
2 Pour publier l'an de la bienveillance de l'Eternel, et le jour de la vengeance de notre Dieu; pour consoler tous ceux qui mènent deuil;
To proclaim the year of the LORD'S good pleasure, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 Pour annoncer à ceux de Sion qui mènent deuil, que la magnificence leur sera donnée au lieu de la cendre; l'huile de joie au lieu du deuil; le manteau de louange au lieu de l'esprit d'accablement; tellement qu'on les appellera les chênes de la justice, et la plante de l'Eternel, pour s'y glorifier.
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the mantle of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, wherein He might glory.
4 Et ils rebâtiront ce qui aura été dès longtemps désert, ils rétabliront les lieux qui auront été auparavant désolés, et ils renouvelleront les villes désertes, et les choses désolées d'âge en âge.
And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall renew the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.
5 Et les étrangers s'y tiendront, et paîtront vos brebis, et les enfants de l'étranger seront vos laboureurs et vos vignerons.
And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks, and aliens shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.
6 Mais vous, vous serez appelés les Sacrificateurs de l'Eternel, et on vous nommera les Ministres de notre Dieu; vous mangerez les richesses des nations, et vous vous vanterez de leur gloire.
But ye shall be named the priests of the LORD, men shall call you the ministers of our God; ye shall eat the wealth of the nations, and in their splendour shall ye revel.
7 Au lieu de la honte que vous avez eue [les nations en auront] le double, et elles crieront tout haut [que] la confusion est leur portion; c'est pourquoi ils posséderont le double en leur pays, [et] auront une joie éternelle.
For your shame which was double, and for that they rejoiced: 'Confusion is their portion'; therefore in their land they shall possess double, everlasting joy shall be unto them.
8 Car je suis l'Eternel, qui aime le jugement, [et] qui hais la rapine pour l'holocauste; j'établirai leur œuvre dans la vérité, et je traiterai avec eux une alliance éternelle.
For I the LORD love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Et leur race sera connue entre les nations, et ceux qui seront sortis d'eux, [seront connus] parmi les peuples; tous ceux qui les verront connaîtront qu'ils sont la race que l'Eternel aura bénie.
And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples; all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the seed which the LORD hath blessed.
10 Je me réjouirai extrêmement en l'Eternel, et mon âme s'égayera en mon Dieu; car il m'a revêtu des vêtements du salut, et m'a couvert du manteau de la justice, comme un époux qui se pare de magnificence, et comme une épouse qui s'orne de ses joyaux.
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, He hath covered me with the robe of victory, as a bridegroom putteth on a priestly diadem, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
11 Car comme la terre pousse son germe, et comme un jardin fait germer les choses qui y sont semées, ainsi le Seigneur l'Eternel fera germer la justice, et la louange en la présence de toutes les nations.
For as the earth bringeth forth her growth, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause victory and glory to spring forth before all the nations.
