Ézéchiel 6

1 La parole de l'Eternel me fut encore [adressée], en disant:

Then came the word of Yahweh. unto me saying,

2 Fils d'homme, tourne ta face contre les montagnes d'Israël, et prophétise contre elles;

Son of man, Set thy face against the mountains of Israel, — and prophesy unto them;

3 Et dis: montagnes d'Israël, écoutez la parole du Seigneur l'Eternel. Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel aux montagnes et aux coteaux, aux cours des rivières, et aux vallées: me voici, je m'en vais faire venir l'épée sur vous, et je détruirai vos hauts lieux.

and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear ye the word of My Lord Yahweh, — Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh- To the mountains and to the hills to the hollows and to the valleys, - Behold me! I, am bringing upon you a sword, And I will destroy your high places;

4 Et vos autels seront désolés, et les tabernacles de vos idoles seront brisés, et j'abattrai les blessés à mort d'entre vous, devant vos dieux de fiente.

And your altars shall be laid waste, And your sun-pillars shall be broken in pieces, — And I will cause your slain to fall before your manufactured gods;

5 Car je mettrai les cadavres des enfants d'Israël devant leurs dieux de fiente, et je disperserai vos os autour de vos autels.

And I will lay the carcases of the sons of Israel before their manufactured gods, — And will scatter your bones round about your altars.

6 Les villes seront désertes en toutes vos demeures, et les hauts lieux seront désolés, tellement que vos autels seront déserts et désolés, et vos dieux de fiente seront brisés, et ne seront plus; les tabernacles [de vos idoles] seront mis en pièces, et vos ouvrages seront abolis.

In all your dwelling-places, The cities, shall be laid waste, and, The high places, shall be made desolate, To the end your altars may be laid waste and become desolate. And your manufactured gods be broken in pieces and cease, And your sun-pillars be cut down, And your handiworks be abolished.

7 Et les blessés à mort tomberont parmi vous; et vous saurez que je [suis] l'Eternel.

And the slain shall fall in your midst, So shall ye know that I am Yahweh.

8 Mais j'en laisserai d'entre vous quelques-uns de reste, afin que vous ayez quelques réchappés de l'épée entre les nations, quand vous serez dispersés parmi les pays.

Yet will I leave a remnant: In that ye shall have such as are escaped of the sword throughout the nations, when ye are scattered throughout the lands.

9 Et vos réchappés se souviendront de moi entre les nations parmi lesquelles ils seront captifs, parce que je me serai tourmenté à cause de leur cœur adonné à la fornication, qui s'est détourné de moi, et [à cause] de leurs yeux qui se livrent à la fornication après leurs dieux de fiente; et ils se déplairont en eux-mêmes au sujet des maux qu'ils auront faits dans toutes leurs abominations.

Then shall they who have escaped of you remember me, among the nations whither they have been carried captive, In that I have broken their adulterous heart, which hath turned aside from me, And their eyes which have adulterously gone after their manufactured gods, So shall they become loathsome in their own sight, for the wicked things which they have done in all their abominations.

10 Et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel, [qui] n'aurai point parlé en vain de leur faire ce mal-ci.

Then shall they know that, I, Yahweh, —not in vain, had threatened to bring upon them this calamity.

11 Ainsi a dit le Seigneur l'Eternel: frappe de ta main et bats de ton pied, et dis: hélas! à cause de toutes les abominations des maux de la maison d'Israël; car ils tomberont par l'épée, par la famine, et par la mortalité.

Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Smite with thy hand, and stamp with thy foot and say, Alas! regarding all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel, —in that by sword, by famine, and by pestilence, shall they fall:

12 Celui qui sera loin mourra par la mortalité, et celui qui sera près tombera par l'épée; et celui qui sera demeuré de reste, et qui sera assiégé, mourra par la famine; ainsi je consommerai ma fureur sur eux.

He that is far off by pestilence, shall die and He that is near by the sword, shall fall, and He that is left and is besieged by the famine, shall die; Thus will I make an end of mine indignation against them.

13 Et vous saurez que je suis l'Eternel, quand les blessés à mort d'entre eux seront parmi leurs dieux de fiente, autour de leurs autels, sur tout coteau haut élevé, sur tous les sommets des montagnes, sous tout arbre vert, et sous tout chêne branchu, qui est le lieu auquel ils ont fait des parfums de bonne odeur à tous leurs dieux de fiente.

So shall ye know that I, am Yahweh, In that their slain are in the midst of their manufactured gods, on every side of their altars, — Upon every high hill In all the tops of the mountains and Under every green tree and Under every tangled oak, The place where they offered a satisfying odour to all their manufactured gods.

14 J'étendrai donc ma main sur eux, et je rendrai leur pays désolé et désert dans toutes leurs demeures, plus que le désert qui est vers Dibla; et ils sauront que je suis l'Eternel.

Thus will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land a greater waste and devastation than the desert toward Diblah throughout all their dwelling-places, - And they shall know that, I, am Yahweh.
