Colossiens 1
1 Paul Apôtre de Jésus-Christ, par la volonté de Dieu, et le frère Timothée:
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timotheus the brother,
2 Aux Saints et frères, fidèles en Christ, qui sont à Colosses: que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de par Dieu notre Père, et de par le Seigneur Jésus-Christ.
to the saints in Colossae, and to the faithful brethren in Christ: Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ!
3 Nous rendons grâces à Dieu, qui est le Père de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ, et nous prions toujours pour vous.
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying for you,
4 Ayant ouï parler de votre foi en Jésus-Christ, et de votre charité envers tous les Saints;
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love that [is] to all the saints,
5 A cause de l'espérance [des biens] qui vous sont réservés dans les Cieux, et dont vous avez eu ci-devant connaissance par la parole de la vérité, [c'est-à-dire], par l'Evangile.
because of the hope that is laid up for you in the heavens, which ye heard of before in the word of the truth of the good news,
6 Qui est parvenu jusqu'à vous, comme il l'est aussi dans tout le monde; et il y fructifie, de même que parmi vous, depuis le jour que vous avez entendu et connu la grâce de Dieu dans la vérité.
which is present to you, as also in all the world, and is bearing fruit, as also in you, from the day in which ye heard, and knew the grace of God in truth;
7 Comme vous avez été instruits aussi par Epaphras notre cher compagnon de service, qui est fidèle Ministre de Christ pour vous;
as ye also learned from Epaphras, our beloved fellow-servant, who is for you a faithful ministrant of the Christ,
8 Et qui nous a appris quelle est la charité que vous avez par le [Saint-] Esprit.
who also did declare to us your love in the Spirit.
9 C'est pourquoi depuis le jour que nous avons appris ces choses, nous ne cessons point de prier pour vous, et de demander [à Dieu] que vous soyez remplis de la connaissance de sa volonté, en toute sagesse et intelligence spirituelle;
Because of this, we also, from the day in which we heard, do not cease praying for you, and asking that ye may be filled with the full knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding,
10 Afin que vous vous conduisiez dignement comme il est séant selon le Seigneur, pour lui plaire à tous égards, fructifiant en toute bonne œuvre, et croissant en la connaissance de Dieu.
to your walking worthily of the Lord to all pleasing, in every good work being fruitful, and increasing to the knowledge of God,
11 Etant fortifiés en toute force selon la puissance de sa gloire, en toute patience, et tranquillité d'esprit, avec joie.
in all might being made mighty according to the power of His glory, to all endurance and long-suffering with joy.
12 Rendant grâces au Père, qui nous a rendus capables de participer à l'héritage des Saints dans la lumière;
Giving thanks to the Father who did make us meet for the participation of the inheritance of the saints in the light,
13 Qui nous a délivrés de la puissance des ténèbres, et nous a transportés au Royaume de son Fils bien-aimé.
who did rescue us out of the authority of the darkness, and did translate [us] into the reign of the Son of His love,
14 En qui nous avons la rédemption par son sang, [savoir], la rémission des péchés.
in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of the sins,
15 Lequel est l'image de Dieu invisible, le premier-né de toutes les créatures.
who is the image of the invisible God, first-born of all creation,
16 Car par lui ont été créées toutes les choses qui sont aux Cieux et en la terre, les visibles et les invisibles, soit les Trônes, ou les Dominations, ou les Principautés, ou les Puissances, toutes choses ont été créées par lui, et pour lui.
because in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all things through him, and for him, have been created,
17 Et il est avant toutes choses, et toutes choses subsistent par lui.
and himself is before all, and the all things in him have consisted.
18 Et c'est lui qui est le Chef du Corps de l'Eglise, et qui est le commencement [et] le premier-né d'entre les morts, afin qu'il tienne le premier rang en toutes choses.
And himself is the head of the body — the assembly — who is a beginning, a first-born out of the dead, that he might become in all [things] — himself — first,
19 Car le bon plaisir du Père a été que toute plénitude habitât en lui;
because in him it did please all the fulness to tabernacle,
20 Et de réconcilier par lui toutes choses avec soi, ayant fait la paix par le sang de sa croix, [savoir], tant les choses qui [sont] aux Cieux, que celles qui [sont] en la terre.
and through him to reconcile the all things to himself — having made peace through the blood of his cross — through him, whether the things upon the earth, whether the things in the heavens.
21 Et vous qui étiez autrefois éloignés de lui, et qui étiez ses ennemis en votre entendement, [et] en mauvaises œuvres;
And you — once being alienated, and enemies in the mind, in the evil works, yet now did he reconcile,
22 Il vous a maintenant réconciliés, par le corps de sa chair, en [sa] mort, pour vous rendre saints, sans tache, et irrépréhensibles devant lui.
in the body of his flesh through the death, to present you holy, and unblemished, and unblameable before himself,
23 Si toutefois vous demeurez en la foi, étant fondés et fermes, et n'étant point transportés hors de l'espérance de l'Evangile que vous avez ouï, lequel est prêché à toute créature qui est sous le ciel, [et] duquel, moi Paul, j'ai été fait le Ministre.
if also ye remain in the faith, being founded and settled, and not moved away from the hope of the good news, which ye heard, which was preached in all the creation that [is] under the heaven, of which I became — I Paul — a ministrant.
24 Je me réjouis donc maintenant en mes souffrances pour vous, et j'accomplis le reste des afflictions de Christ en ma chair, pour son corps, qui est l'Eglise;
I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and do fill up the things lacking of the tribulations of the Christ in my flesh for his body, which is the assembly,
25 De laquelle j'ai été fait le Ministre, selon la dispensation de Dieu qui m'a été donnée envers vous, pour accomplir la parole de Dieu;
of which I — I did become a ministrant according to the dispensation of God, that was given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God,
26 [Savoir] le mystère qui avait été caché dans tous les siècles et [dans] tous les âges, mais qui est maintenant manifesté à ses Saints; (aiōn g165)
the secret that hath been hid from the ages and from the generations, but now was manifested to his saints, (aiōn g165)
27 Auxquels Dieu a voulu donner à connaître quelles [sont] les richesses de la gloire de ce mystère parmi les Gentils, c'est à savoir Christ, [qui a été prêché] parmi vous, [et qui est] l'espérance de la gloire,
to whom God did will to make known what [is] the riches of the glory of this secret among the nations — which is Christ in you, the hope of the glory,
28 Lequel nous annonçons, en exhortant tout homme, et en enseignant tout homme en toute sagesse, afin que nous rendions tout homme parfait en Jésus-Christ.
whom we proclaim, warning every man, and teaching every man, in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus,
29 A quoi aussi je travaille, en combattant selon son efficace, qui agit puissamment en moi.
for which also I labour, striving according to his working that is working in me in power.
