Actes 3
1 Et comme Pierre et Jean montaient ensemble au Temple à l'heure de la prière, qui était à neuf heures,
And Peter and John were going up at the same time to the temple, at the hour of the prayer, the ninth [hour],
2 Un homme boiteux dès sa naissance, y était porté, lequel on mettait tous les jours à la porte du Temple nommée la Belle, pour demander l'aumône à ceux qui entraient au Temple.
and a certain man, being lame from the womb of his mother, was being carried, whom they were laying every day at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful, to ask a kindness from those entering into the temple,
3 Cet homme voyant Pierre et Jean qui allaient entrer au Temple, les pria de lui donner l'aumône.
who, having seen Peter and John about to go into the temple, was begging to receive a kindness.
4 Mais Pierre ayant, avec Jean, arrêté sa vue sur lui, Pierre lui dit: regarde-nous.
And Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, 'Look toward us;'
5 Et il les regardait attentivement, s'attendant de recevoir quelque chose d'eux.
and he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;
6 Mais Pierre lui dit: je n'ai ni argent, ni or; mais ce que j'ai, je te le donne: Au Nom de Jésus-Christ le Nazarien, lève-toi et marche.
and Peter said, 'Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'
7 Et l'ayant pris par la main droite, il le leva; et aussitôt les plantes et les chevilles de ses pieds devinrent fermes.
And having seized him by the right hand, he raised [him] up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,
8 Et faisant un saut, il se tint debout, et marcha; et il entra avec eux au Temple, marchant, sautant, et louant Dieu.
and springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;
9 Et tout le peuple le vit marchant et louant Dieu.
and all the people saw him walking and praising God,
10 Et reconnaissant que c'était celui-là même qui était assis à la Belle porte du Temple, pour avoir l'aumône, ils furent remplis d'admiration et d'étonnement de ce qui lui était arrivé.
they were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.
11 Et comme le boiteux, qui avait été guéri, tenait par la main Pierre et Jean, tout le peuple étonné courut à eux, au Portique qu'on appelle de Salomon.
And at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's — greatly amazed,
12 Mais Pierre voyant cela, dit au peuple: hommes Israélites, pourquoi vous étonnez-vous de ceci? ou pourquoi avez-vous l'œil arrêté sur nous, comme si par notre puissance, ou par notre sainteté nous avions fait marcher cet homme?
and Peter having seen, answered unto the people, 'Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?
13 Le Dieu d'Abraham, et d'Isaac, et de Jacob, le Dieu de nos pères, a glorifié son Fils Jésus, que vous avez livré, et que vous avez renié devant Pilate, quoiqu'il jugeât qu'il devait être délivré.
'The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release [him],
14 Mais vous avez renié le Saint et le Juste, et vous avez demandé qu'on vous relâchât un meurtrier.
and ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man — a murderer — to be granted to you,
15 Vous avez mis à mort le Prince de la vie, lequel Dieu a ressuscité des morts; de quoi nous sommes témoins.
and the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses;
16 Et par la foi en son nom, son Nom a raffermi [les pieds de] cet homme que vous voyez et que vous connaissez; la foi, dis-je, que [nous avons] en lui, a donné à celui-ci cette entière disposition de tous ses membres, en la présence de vous tous.
and on the faith of his name, this one whom ye see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that [is] through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.
17 Et maintenant, mes frères, je sais que vous l'avez fait par ignorance, de même que vos Gouverneurs.
'And now, brethren, I have known that through ignorance ye did [it], as also your rulers;
18 Mais Dieu a ainsi accompli les choses qu'il avait prédites par la bouche de tous ses Prophètes, que le Christ devait souffrir.
and God, what things before He had declared through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He did thus fulfil;
19 Amendez-vous donc, et vous convertissez, afin que vos péchés soient effacés:
reform ye, therefore, and turn back, for your sins being blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 Quand les temps de rafraîchissement seront venus par la présence du Seigneur, et qu'il aura envoyé Jésus-Christ, qui vous a été auparavant annoncé.
and He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,
21 [Et] lequel il faut que le ciel contienne, jusqu'au temps du rétablissement de toutes les choses que Dieu a prononcées par la bouche de tous ses saints Prophètes, dès le [commencement] du monde. (aiōn g165)
whom it behoveth heaven, indeed, to receive till times of a restitution of all things, of which God spake through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age. (aiōn g165)
22 Car Moïse lui-même a dit à nos Pères: le Seigneur votre Dieu, vous suscitera d'entre vos frères un Prophète tel que moi; vous l'écouterez dans tout ce qu'il vous dira.
'For Moses, indeed, unto the fathers said — A prophet to you shall the Lord your God raise up out of your brethren, like to me; him shall ye hear in all things, as many as he may speak unto you;
23 Et il arrivera que toute personne qui n'aura point écouté ce Prophète, sera exterminée d'entre le peuple.
and it shall be, every soul that may not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed out of the people;
24 Et même tous les Prophètes depuis Samuel, et ceux qui l'ont suivi, tout autant qu'il y en a eu qui ont parlé, ont aussi prédit ces jours.
and also all the prophets from Samuel and those following in order, as many as spake, did also foretell of these days.
25 Vous êtes les enfants des Prophètes, et de l'alliance que Dieu a traitée avec nos Pères, disant à Abraham: et en ta semence seront bénies toutes les familles de la terre.
'Ye are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant that God made unto our fathers, saying unto Abraham: And in thy seed shall be blessed all the families of the earth;
26 C'est pour vous premièrement que Dieu ayant suscité son Fils Jésus, l'a envoyé pour vous bénir, en retirant chacun de vous de vos méchancetés.
to you first, God, having raised up His child Jesus, did send him, blessing you, in the turning away of each one from your evil ways.'
