2 Pierre 2
1 Mais [comme] il y a eu de faux prophètes parmi le peuple, il y aura aussi parmi vous de faux docteurs, qui introduiront couvertement des sectes de perdition, et qui renonceront le Seigneur qui les a rachetés, attirant sur eux-mêmes une prompte ruine.
However there were indeed false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among you, whosoever shall bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.
2 Et plusieurs suivront leurs [sectes] de perdition; et à cause d'eux la voie de la vérité sera blasphémée;
And many will follow their impurities; through whom the way of truth will be slandered:
3 Car ils feront par avarice trafic de vous avec des paroles déguisées; mais desquels la condamnation de longtemps ne tarde point, et la punition desquels ne s'endort point.
and in their covetousness they will sell you with their soft speeches: unto whom judgment from olden time tarries not, and their destruction does not slumber.
4 Car si Dieu n'a pas épargné les Anges qui ont péché, mais les ayant précipités dans l'abîme chargés des chaînes d'obscurité, les a livrés pour être réservés au jugement; (Tartaroō g5020)
For if God spared not the angels who sinned, but having sent them down to hell, committed them to chains of darkness to be kept unto judgment; (Tartaroō g5020)
5 Et [s'il] n'a point épargné le monde ancien, mais a gardé Noé, lui huitième, [qui était] le hérault de la justice; et a fait venir le déluge sur le monde des impies;
and spared not the old world, but delivered Noah the eighth person, the preacher of righteousness, brings the flood upon the world of the ungodly;
6 Et [s'il] a condamné à un renversement total les villes de Sodome et de Gomorrhe, les réduisant en cendre, et les mettant pour être un exemple à ceux qui vivraient dans l'impiété;
and having destroyed the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, with a catastrophe he condemned them, having put them forth as an example to those about to be ungodly:
7 et [s'il a] délivré le juste Lot qui avait eu beaucoup à souffrir de ces abominables parleur infâme conduite.
and he delivered righteous Lot, being grieved by the deportment of the ungodly in their debauchery:
8 Car cet [homme] juste, qui demeurait parmi eux, les voyant et les entendant, affligeait tous les jours son âme juste, à cause de leurs méchantes actions;
(for the righteous man dwelling among them, by seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds: )
9 Le Seigneur sait [ainsi] délivrer de la tentation ceux qui l'honorent, et réserver les injustes pour être punis au jour du jugement;
for the Lord knows how to rescue the godly out of temptations, and to keep the unrighteous unto the day of judgment enduring punishment:
10 Principalement ceux qui suivent les mouvements de la chair, dans la passion de l'impureté, et qui méprisent la domination, [gens] audacieux, adonnés à leurs sens, et qui ne craignent point de blâmer les dignités;
and especially those going after the flesh in the lust of pollution, and despising lordship. Audacious darers, blaspheming, they do not tremble at glories;
11 Au lieu que les Anges, quoiqu'ils soient plus grands en force et en puissance, ne prononcent point contre elles de sentence injurieuse devant le Seigneur;
where the angels, being greater in strength and power, do not bring a blasphemous judgment against them before the Lord.
12 Mais ceux-ci, semblables à des bêtes brutes, qui suivent leur sensualité, et qui sont faites pour être prises et détruites, blâmant ce qu'ils n'entendent point, périront par leur propre corruption;
But these, like irrational animals having been born naturally for capture and destruction, blaspheming those things in which they are ignorant; in their own corruption they will indeed corrupt themselves;
13 Et ils recevront la récompense de leur iniquité. Ils aiment à être tous les jours dans les délices. Ce sont des taches et des souillures, et ils font leurs délices de leurs tromperies dans les repas qu'ils font avec vous.
receiving the reward of unrighteousness, esteeming pleasure which is in the daytime; luxury; spots and blemishes, swelling in their deceits, feasting along with you,
14 Ils ont les yeux pleins d'adultère; ils ne cessent jamais de pécher; ils attirent les âmes mal assurées; ils ont le cœur exercé dans les rapines, ce sont des enfants de malédiction;
having eyes full of an adulteress, and unable to cease from sin; beguiling unestablished souls: having a heart which has been made fat with covetousness; children of the curse:
15 Qui ayant laissé le droit chemin, se sont égarés, et ont suivi le train de Balaam, [fils] de Bosor, qui aima le salaire d'iniquité; mais il fut repris de son injustice,
leaving the straight way, they have wandered off, following in the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the reward of iniquity; and had the conviction of his own conscience:
16 [Car] une ânesse muette parlant d'une voix humaine, réprima la folie du prophète.
the dumb workbeast having spoken with the voice of a man, rebuked the madness of the prophet.
17 Ce sont des fontaines sans eau, et des nuées agitées par le tourbillon, et des [gens] à qui l'obscurité des ténèbres est réservée éternellement. (questioned)
These are fountains without water, and mists driven away by the storm, for which the blackness of darkness has been reserved.
18 Car en prononçant des discours fort enflés de vanité, ils amorcent par les convoitises de la chair, et par [leurs] impudicités, ceux qui s'étaient véritablement retirés de ceux qui vivent dans l'erreur;
For speaking swelling words of vanity, in the lusts of the flesh they beguile with their impurities, those that have but partially escaped, who are still moving about in their delusion;
19 Leur promettant la liberté, quoiqu'ils soient eux-mêmes esclaves de la corruption; car on est réduit dans la servitude de celui par qui on est vaincu.
promising them liberty, they themselves being the slaves of corruption: for to whatsoever any one has been subordinated, to this he has become enslaved.
20 Parce que si après s'être retirés des souillures du monde par la connaissance du Seigneur et Sauveur Jésus-Christ, toutefois étant de nouveau enveloppés par elles, ils en sont surmontés, leur dernière condition est pire que la première.
For if having escaped the pollutions of the world through the perfect knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and having again become entangled in these things, they are overcome, the last state has to them become worse than the first.
21 Car il leur eût mieux valu n'avoir pas connu la voie de la justice, qu'après l'avoir connue se détourner du saint commandement qui leur avait été donné.
For it was better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment which has been delivered unto them.
22 Mais ce qu'on dit par un proverbe véritable, leur est arrivé: le chien est retourné à ce qu'il avait vomi; et la truie lavée [est retournée] se vautrer dans le bourbier.
It has happened unto them according to the old proverb, The dog having returned to his own vomit; and the sow that had washed to wallowing in the mire.
