Romains 16
1 Je vous recommande Phœbé, notre sœur, qui est diaconesse de l’Église de Cenchrées,
And I commend to you Phoebe our sister, —being a minister [also] of the assembly which is in Cenchreae;
2 afin que vous la receviez en notre Seigneur d’une manière digne des saints, et que vous l’assistiez dans les choses où elle aurait besoin de vous, car elle a donné aide à plusieurs et à moi-même.
In order that ye may give her welcome in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and stand by her in any matter wherein she may have need of you; for, she also, hath proved to be a defender of many, and of my own self.
3 Saluez Prisca et Aquilas, mes compagnons d’œuvre en Jésus-Christ,
Salute ye Prisca and Aquila, my fellow-workers in Christ Jesus, —
4 qui ont exposé leur tête pour sauver ma vie; ce n’est pas moi seul qui leur rends grâces, ce sont encore toutes les Églises des païens.
Who, indeed, for my life, their own neck laid down, —unto whom—not, I only, give thanks, but also all the assemblies of the nations;
5 Saluez aussi l’Église qui est dans leur maison. Saluez Épaïnète, mon bien-aimé, qui a été pour Christ les prémices de l’Asie.
[Salute] also the assembly at their house. Salute ye Epaenetus, my beloved, who is a first-fruit of Asia unto Christ.
6 Saluez Marie, qui a pris beaucoup de peine pour vous.
Salute Mary—who, indeed, hath toiled much for you.
7 Saluez Andronicus et Junias, mes parents et mes compagnons de captivité, qui jouissent d’une grande considération parmi les apôtres, et qui même ont été en Christ avant moi.
Salute Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow-captives, who, indeed, are of note among the Apostles, who also before me had come to be in Christ.
8 Saluez Amplias, mon bien-aimé dans le Seigneur.
Salute Ampliatus, my beloved in the Lord.
9 Saluez Urbain, notre compagnon d’œuvre en Christ, et Stachys, mon bien-aimé.
Salute Urbanus, our fellow-worker in Christ; and Stachys, my beloved.
10 Saluez Apellès, qui est éprouvé en Christ. Saluez ceux de la maison d’Aristobule.
Salute Apelles, the approved in Christ. Salute them of [the household of] Aristobulus.
11 Saluez Hérodion, mon parent. Saluez ceux de la maison de Narcisse qui sont dans le Seigneur.
Salute Herodion, my kinsman. Salute them of [the household of] Narcissus who are in the Lord.
12 Saluez Tryphène et Tryphose, qui travaillent pour le Seigneur. Saluez Perside, la bien-aimée, qui a beaucoup travaillé pour le Seigneur.
Salute Tryphaena and Tryphosa, [sisters] who have toiled in the Lord. Salute Persis, the beloved [sister], who, indeed, hath toiled much in the Lord.
13 Saluez Rufus, l’élu du Seigneur, et sa mère, qui est aussi la mienne.
Salute Rufus, the chosen in the Lord; also his and my mother.
14 Saluez Asyncrite, Phlégon, Hermès, Patrobas, Hermas, et les frères qui sont avec eux.
Salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas, and the brethren that are with them.
15 Saluez Philologue et Julie, Nérée et sa sœur, et Olympe, et tous les saints qui sont avec eux.
Salute Philologus and Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympus, and all the saints that are with them.
16 Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un saint baiser. Toutes les Églises de Christ vous saluent.
Salute ye one another, with a holy a kiss. All the assemblies of the Christ salute you.
17 Je vous exhorte, frères, à prendre garde à ceux qui causent des divisions et des scandales, au préjudice de l’enseignement que vous avez reçu. Éloignez-vous d’eux.
But I beseech you, brethren, to keep an eye upon them who are causing divisions and occasions of stumbling, aside from the teaching which, ye, have learned, —and be turning away from them;
18 Car de tels hommes ne servent point Christ notre Seigneur, mais leur propre ventre; et, par des paroles douces et flatteuses, ils séduisent les cœurs des simples.
For, they who are such, unto our Lord Christ are not doing service, but unto their own belly, —and, through their smooth and flattering speech, deceive the hearts of the innocent.
19 Pour vous, votre obéissance est connue de tous; je me réjouis donc à votre sujet, et je désire que vous soyez sages en ce qui concerne le bien et purs en ce qui concerne le mal.
For, your obedience, unto all hath reached, —over you, therefore, I rejoice! But I wish you—to be wise, [indeed], as to that which is good, yet pure, as to that which is evil.
20 Le Dieu de paix écrasera bientôt Satan sous vos pieds. Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec vous!
Howbeit, the God of peace, will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The favour of our Lord Jesus, be with you.
21 Timothée, mon compagnon d’œuvre, vous salue, ainsi que Lucius, Jason et Sosipater, mes parents.
There salute you—Timothy, my fellow-worker, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen.
22 Je vous salue dans le Seigneur, moi Tertius, qui ai écrit cette lettre.
I, Tertius, who have written the epistle, salute you in the Lord.
23 Gaïus, mon hôte et celui de toute l’Église, vous salue. Éraste, le trésorier de la ville, vous salue, ainsi que le frère Quartus.
There saluteth you—Gaius, my host and [the host] of the whole assembly. There salute you—Erastus, the steward of the city, and Quartus the brother.
24 Que la grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ soit avec vous tous! Amen!
25 A celui qui peut vous affermir selon mon Évangile et la prédication de Jésus-Christ, conformément à la révélation du mystère caché pendant des siècles, (aiōnios g166)
Now, unto him who hath power to establish you, according to my glad-message—even the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of a sacred secret, in age-past times kept silent, (aiōnios g166)
26 mais manifesté maintenant par les écrits des prophètes, d’après l’ordre du Dieu éternel, et porté à la connaissance de toutes les nations, afin qu’elles obéissent à la foi, (aiōnios g166)
But now made manifest, and through means of prophetic scriptures, according to the command of the age-abiding God, for obedience of faith unto all the nations made known, (aiōnios g166)
