Psaumes 16
1 Hymne de David. Garde-moi, ô Dieu! Car je cherche en toi mon refuge.
A Miktam of David. Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.
2 Je dis à l’Éternel: Tu es mon Seigneur, Tu es mon souverain bien!
I said to the LORD, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.”
3 Les saints qui sont dans le pays, Les hommes pieux sont l’objet de toute mon affection.
As for the saints in the land, they are the excellence in whom all my delight resides.
4 On multiplie les idoles, on court après les dieux étrangers: Je ne répands pas leurs libations de sang, Je ne mets pas leurs noms sur mes lèvres.
Sorrows will multiply to those who chase other gods. I will not pour out their libations of blood, or speak their names with my lips.
5 L’Éternel est mon partage et mon calice; C’est toi qui m’assures mon lot;
The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; You have made my lot secure.
6 Un héritage délicieux m’est échu, Une belle possession m’est accordée.
The lines of my boundary have fallen in pleasant places; surely my inheritance is delightful.
7 Je bénis l’Éternel, mon conseiller; La nuit même mon cœur m’exhorte.
I will bless the LORD who counsels me; even at night my conscience instructs me.
8 J’ai constamment l’Éternel sous mes yeux; Quand il est à ma droite, je ne chancelle pas.
I have set the LORD always before me. Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Aussi mon cœur est dans la joie, mon esprit dans l’allégresse, Et mon corps repose en sécurité.
Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will dwell securely.
10 Car tu ne livreras pas mon âme au séjour des morts, Tu ne permettras pas que ton bien-aimé voie la corruption. (Sheol h7585)
For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, nor will You let Your Holy One see decay. (Sheol h7585)
11 Tu me feras connaître le sentier de la vie; Il y a d’abondantes joies devant ta face, Des délices éternelles à ta droite.
You have made known to me the path of life; You will fill me with joy in Your presence, with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
