Psaumes 65

1 Jusqu'à la Fin. Hymne de David, inspiré des paroles de Jérémie et Ezéchiel à l'époque de la déportation, et quand ils étaient sur le point de sortir. O Dieu, il convient en Sion de te chanter des hymnes; et des vœux te seront rendus.

For the end, a Psalm [and] Song of David. Praise becomes thee, O God, in Sion; and to thee shall the vow be performed.

2 Exauce ma prière; toute chair ira à toi.

Hear my prayer; to thee all flesh shall come.

3 Les paroles des méchants ont prévalu contre nous; mais tu nous pardonneras nos impiétés.

The words of transgressors have overpowered us; but do thou pardon our sins.

4 Heureux celui que tu auras élu et adopté; il habitera en tes parvis. Nous nous rassasierons des biens de ta demeure. Ton temple est saint; il est admirable en justice.

Blessed [is he] whom thou hast chosen and adopted; he shall dwell in thy courts; we shall be filled with the good things of thy house; thy temple is holy.

5 Exauce-nous, ô Dieu notre Sauveur, espérance de toute la terre et de ceux qui sont au loin sur la mer.

[Thou art] wonderful in righteousness. Hearken to us, O God our Saviour; the hope of all the ends of the earth, and of them [that are] on the sea afar off:

6 Par ta force tu as formé les monts; tu es revêtu de puissance.

who dost establish the mountains in thy strength, being girded about with power;

7 Tu ébranles l'abîme de la mer, et ses flots retentissent; et les nations seront troublées.

who troublest the depth of the sea, the sounds of its waves.

8 Et ceux qui demeurent aux confins de la terre seront saisis de crainte, à cause de tes signes; tu répandras la joie de l'Orient à l'Occident.

The nations shall be troubled, and they that inhabit the ends [of the earth] shall be afraid of thy signs; thou wilt cause the outgoings of morning and evening to rejoice.

9 Tu as visité la terre, et tu l'as enivrée; tu as multiplié tes dons pour l'enrichir. Le fleuve de Dieu a été rempli d'eau; tu as préparé leur nourriture: voilà comment est fertilisée la terre.

Thou hast visited the earth, and saturated it; thou hast abundantly enriched it. The river of God is filled with water; thou hast prepared their food, for thus is the preparation [of it].

10 Abreuve ses sillons, multiplie ses fruits; la récolte qui germe se réjouira de ses rosées.

Saturate her furrows, multiply her fruits; [the crop] springing up shall rejoice in its drops.

11 Tu béniras le cercle des mois qui est la couronne de ta bonté, et tes champs seront remplis d'abondance.

Thou wilt bless the crown of the year [because] of thy goodness; and thy plains shall be filled with fatness.

12 Les montagnes du désert seront engraissées, et les collines seront revêtues d'allégresse.

The mountains of the wilderness shall be enriched; and the hills shall gird themselves with joy.

13 Les béliers du troupeau sont couverts de toison; les vallées regorgeront de froment; elles crieront, et chanteront un hymne au Seigneur.

The rams of the flock are clothed [with wool], and the valleys shall abound in corn; they shall cry aloud, yea they shall sing hymns.
