Psaumes 101

1 Un Psaume de David. Seigneur, je chanterai ta miséricorde et ton jugement; je chanterai un psaume,

A Psalm of David. I will sing of loving-kindness and judgment: unto thee, Jehovah, will I sing psalms.

2 Et je marcherai avec intelligence dans la voie sans tache; quand viendras-tu à moi? J'ai marché au milieu de ma maison, dans l'innocence de mon cœur.

I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. When wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house in the integrity of my heart.

3 Je n'ai mis aucune œuvre mauvaise devant mes yeux; j'ai haï les prévaricateurs. Je ne me suis point attaché

I will set no thing of Belial before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.

4 Au cœur dépravé; et le méchant se détournant de moi, je ne l'ai point connu.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will not know evil.

5 Celui qui venait en secret déchirer son prochain, je l'ai toujours poursuivi. Je n'ai point mangé avec des gens à l'œil superbe, au cœur insatiable.

Whoso secretly slandereth his neighbour, him will I destroy; him that hath a high look and a proud heart will I not suffer.

6 Mes yeux s'arrêtent sur les fidèles de la terre, pour les faire asseoir avec moi; celui qui chemine dans la voie sans tache était mon ministre.

Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.

7 Le superbe n'a point séjourné en ma demeure; le prieur injuste n'a point réussi devant mes yeux.

He that practiseth deceit shall not dwell within my house; he that speaketh falsehoods shall not subsist in my sight.

8 Le matin, je mettais à mort tous les pécheurs de la terre, afin d'exterminer dans la ville du Seigneur les ouvriers d'iniquité.

Every morning will I destroy all the wicked of the land: to cut off all workers of iniquity from the city of Jehovah.
