Michée 1
1 Et la parole de Dieu vint à Michée, fils de Morasthi, aux jours de Joatham, Achaz et Ézéchias, rois de Juda, sur les choses qu'il vit concernant Samarie et Jérusalem.
And the word of the Lord came to Michaeas the son of Morasthi, in the days of Joatham, and Achaz, and Ezekias, kings of Juda, concerning what he saw regarding Samaria and Jerusalem.
2 Écoutez, peuples, ces paroles; que toute la terre soit attentive, et tous ceux qu'elle contient. Et le Seigneur Maître sera parmi nous comme un témoignage, le Seigneur du haut de Sa maison sainte.
Hear [these] words, ye people; and let the earth give heed, and all that are in it: and the Lord God shall be among you for a testimony, the Lord out of his holy habitation.
3 Car voilà que le Seigneur sortira du lieu où Il réside, et Il descendra, et Il marchera sur les hauteurs de la terre.
For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and will go upon the high places of the earth.
4 Et sous Lui les montagnes seront émues, et les vallées fondront comme la cire devant le feu, et comme les eaux d'une cataracte.
And the mountains shall be shaken under him, and the valleys shall melt like wax before the fire, and as water rushing down a declivity.
5 Et tout cela arrivera à cause de l'impiété de Jacob et des péchés de la maison d'Israël. Quelle est l'impiété de Jacob? n'est-ce pas Samarie? Quel est le péché de Juda? n'est-ce pas Jérusalem?
All these [calamities are] for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sin of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? [is it] not Samaria? and what is the sin of the house of Juda? [is it] not Jerusalem?
6 Je rendrai Samarie comme la cabane d'un garde de vergers dans les champs, comme un plant de vigne; et J'arracherai ses pierres pour les jeter dans le ravin, et Je mettrai à découvert ses fondations.
Therefore I will make Samaria [as] a store-house of the fruits of the field, and [as] a planting of a vineyard: and I will utterly demolish her stones, and I will expose her foundations.
7 Et toutes ses statues tomberont; et tous ses salaires qu'elle a reçus seront livrés aux flammes; et J'anéantirai toutes ses idoles; car elle a amassé des salaires de prostitution; et de ces salaires de prostitution elle s'est enrichie.
And they shall cut in pieces all the graven images, and all that she has hired they shall burn with fire, and I will utterly destroy all her idols: because she has gathered of the hires of fornication, and of the hires of fornication has she amassed [wealth].
8 À cause de cela, elle se frappera la poitrine et se lamentera; elle ira nue et déchaussée; ses lamentations seront comme les sifflements du dragon, et ses plaintes comme celles des filles des Sirènes.
Therefore shall she lament and wail, she shall go barefooted, and [being] naked she shall make lamentation as [that] of serpents, and mourning as of the daughters of sirens.
9 Car la plaie l'accable; sa plaie s'est étendue jusqu'en Juda, et touche aux portes de Mon peuple, à Jérusalem.
For her plague has become grievous; for it has come even to Juda; and has reached to the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.
10 Ô vous, gens de Geth, ne vous glorifiez pas; vous, gens d'Énacim, n'édifiez pas avec les ruines du temple par dérision; mais répandez de la poussière sur vos têtes par dérision de vous-mêmes!
Ye that are in Geth, exalt not yourselves, and ye Enakim, do not rebuild from [the ruins of] the house in derision: sprinkle dust [in the place of] your laughter.
11 La populeuse Sennaar, qui habite en joie ses villes, n'en est point sortie pour pleurer une maison voisine; elle entendra votre plainte douloureuse.
The inhabitant of Sennaar, fairly inhabiting her cities, came not forth to mourn for the house next to her: she shall receive of you the stroke of grief.
12 Qui a commencé à faire du bien à celle qui habitait dans la douleur? Car les maux sont aussi descendus, par le Seigneur, jusqu'aux portes de Jérusalem,
Who has begun [to act] for good to her that dwells in sorrow? for calamities have come down from the Lord upon the gates of Jerusalem,
13 avec le tumulte des chars et des cavaliers. Celle qui demeure en Lachis est pour le fille de Sion le principe de son péché; car en toi se sont trouvés les impiétés d'Israël.
[even] a sound of chariots and horsemen: the inhabitants of Lachis, she is the leader of sin to the daughter of Sion: for in thee were found the transgressions of Israel.
14 À cause de cela, le Seigneur enverra des vengeurs jusqu'aux héritages de Geth, et jusqu'aux maisons vaines qui ont été vanités pour les rois d'Israël.
Therefore shall he cause men to be sent forth as far as the inheritance of Geth, [even] vain houses; they are become vanity to the kings of Israel;
15 Et ils emmèneront tes héritiers, ô toi qui demeures en Lachis! L'héritage de gloire de la fille d'Israël ne subsistera pas au delà d'Odollam.
until they bring the heirs, O inhabitant of Lachis: the inheritance shall reach to Odollam, [even] the glory of the daughter of Israel.
16 Rase-toi, coupe ta chevelure à cause de tes enfants, qui font tes délices; dilate ton veuvage comme un aigle; car on les a emmenés en captivité hors de toi.
Shave thine hair, and make thyself bald for thy delicate children; increase thy widowhood as an eagle; for [thy people] are gone into captivity from thee.
