2 Chroniques 14

1 Et Abias mourut, et il alla rejoindre ses pères, et on l'ensevelit en la ville de David; et Asa, son fils, régna à sa place. Sous Asa, Juda fut en paix dix années.

2 Et il fit ce qui est bon et droit devant le Seigneur son Dieu.

and to make: do Asa [the] pleasant and [the] upright in/on/with eye: appearance LORD God his

3 Il répudia les autels des dieux étrangers et les hauts lieux; il brisa les colonnes, il abattit les bois sacrés,

and to turn aside: remove [obj] altar [the] foreign and [the] high place and to break [obj] [the] pillar and to cut down/off [obj] [the] Asherah

4 Et il dit à Juda de chercher le Seigneur Dieu de leurs pères, et de pratiquer sa loi et ses commandements.

and to say to/for Judah to/for to seek [obj] LORD God father their and to/for to make: do [the] instruction and [the] commandment

5 Et il détruisit, dans toutes les villes de Juda, les autels et les idoles, et paisiblement

and to turn aside: remove from all city Judah [obj] [the] high place and [obj] [the] pillar and to quiet [the] kingdom to/for face: before his

6 Il fortifia des places en Juda; car la terre était en paix. Il n'y eut point de guerre en ces années, parce que le Seigneur lui avait donné du repos.

and to build city fortress in/on/with Judah for to quiet [the] land: country/planet and nothing with him battle in/on/with year [the] these for to rest LORD to/for him

7 Et il dit à Juda: Fortifions les villes, faisons-leur des murs, des tours, des portes, des verrous; nous prévaudrons sur la terre: car de même que nous avons cherché le Seigneur notre Dieu, il nous a cherchés; il nous a donné la paix tout alentour, et il nous a fait prospérer.

and to say to/for Judah to build [obj] [the] city [the] these and to turn: surround wall and tower door and bar still he [the] land: country/planet to/for face: before our for to seek [obj] LORD God our to seek and to rest to/for us from around: whole and to build and to prosper

8 Or, Asa avait en la terre de Juda une force de trois cent mille hommes portant javeline et bouclier; et, en la terre de Benjamin, deux cent quatre- vingt mille archers, ou fantassins armés à la légère; tous ces hommes étaient vaillants et aguerris.

and to be to/for Asa strength: soldiers to lift: bear shield and spear from Judah three hundred thousand and from Benjamin to lift: bear shield and to tread bow hundred and eighty thousand all these mighty man strength

9 Et Zara l'Ethiopien marcha contre eux avec une armée d'un million d'hommes, et trois cents chars; il s'avança jusqu'à Marèsa.

and to come out: come to(wards) them Zerah [the] Ethiopian in/on/with strength: soldiers thousand thousand and chariot three hundred and to come (in): come till Mareshah

10 Asa sortit à sa rencontre, et rangea son armée en bataille dans la vallée, au nord de Marèsa.

and to come out: come Asa to/for face: before his and to arrange battle in/on/with (Zephathah) Valley Zephathah to/for Mareshah

11 Et Asa cria au Seigneur son Dieu, et il dit: Seigneur, il ne vous est point impossible de sauver, soit avec beaucoup, soit avec peu; fortifiez-nous, Seigneur notre Dieu, car nous avons eu foi en vous, et c'est en votre nom que nous avons marché contre cette grande multitude. Seigneur notre Dieu, que l'homme ne prévaille pas contre vous.

and to call: call to Asa to(wards) LORD God his and to say LORD nothing with you to/for to help between many to/for nothing strength to help us LORD God our for upon you to lean and in/on/with name your to come (in): come upon [the] crowd [the] this LORD God our you(m. s.) not to restrain with you human

12 Et le Seigneur frappa les Ethiopiens devant Juda, et les Ethiopiens s'enfuirent.

and to strike LORD [obj] [the] Ethiopian to/for face: before Asa and to/for face: before Judah and to flee [the] Ethiopian

13 Asa et son peuple les poursuivirent jusqu'à Gedsor. Les Ethiopiens tombèrent jusqu'au dernier; car ils furent broyés devant le Seigneur et devant son armée, et les fils de Juda recueillirent d'innombrables dépouilles.

and to pursue them Asa and [the] people which with him till to/for Gerar and to fall: kill from Ethiopian to/for nothing to/for them recovery for to break to/for face: before LORD and to/for face: before camp his and to lift: bear spoil to multiply much

14 Et ils détruisirent les bourgs autour de Gedsor; car un grand trouble, venant du Seigneur, était sur eux. Les fils de Juda pillèrent leurs villes, et ils firent un riche butin.

and to smite [obj] all [the] city around Gerar for to be dread LORD upon them and to plunder [obj] all [the] city for plunder many to be in/on/with them

15 Ils détruisirent les tentes des troupeaux, ils dépouillèrent les habitants de la côte, ils emmenèrent quantité de moutons et de chameaux, et ils revinrent à Jérusalem.

and also tent livestock to smite and to take captive flock to/for abundance and camel and to return: return Jerusalem
